SealTeam6 0
I don't know if any of you remember when Hidden & Dangerous was release way back in gaming history. Although having a reputation as the game with the biggest list of bugs, the atmosphere and tension that the game had has never been beaten. After browsing Fileplanet I found that due to the near release of the sequel to H&D, that the deluxe version of H&D is now being released for free on Fileplanet, and I URGE everyone to download and play this game which comes complete with all updates and expansions. Zantar45 0
Downloading it right now. Only question is; Anyone else gonna download it?
Dannik 43
Downloaded it yesterday from Fileshack, and planning on installing tonight.
Zantar45 0
Just installed it. The controls are a little cumbersome at first, but not that bad. Anyone know how to climb ladders? So far I have lost 5 SAS members because they forget how to climb ladders and fall into the water. Oh and ASE doesnt support this game, so I dont know how Im gonna play it online. firefly2442 0
The idea is there and I think the graphics work well for the most part but the controls and gameplay are very difficult. Maybe I'm just a newbie, but the aim reticle jumps around a ton. No zoom either for sniper? For the ladder, use the "use" key. Not sure what it's default bind is. Zantar45 0
For some reason I find the weapon+crosshair aim is much better. There seems to be no recoil, at least for me..... I'll use the use key to use the usable ladder when I need to use it. Damn those Nazis are good, I could swear one was a cheater. He picked me off well outta view with a machince gun. Check the controls, I think ''Z'' is to zoom Im not too sure though, since it looks like every button does something. Edited October 11, 2003 by Zantar45
Dannik 43
I don't think there's a "zoom" per se, just a raised reticule/crosshair view available. The sniper weapons seem to just be more accurate at pixel hunting.
insaneflyingmonkey 0
hmmmm... how big is the file??? heard of this game, wanna d/l if its not too big...
Parabellum 12
The file is about 250 megs, IIRC. I heard that they've patched up the bugs now, and the game is playable. I might even download it. It's a very fun game, with ALOT of atmosphere.
Dannik 43
It's 264 megs, includes the expansion packs and the game editor, as well as some other updates to make it "current". Consider it a gift in lieu of a demo for Hidden & Dangerous 2.
Recon 0
I bought this game not very long ago so I'm not happy. It was only £4.99 though. Not that bad.
MarkVanDamme 0
I hear that! I actually have two copies - not sure how that happened! And I paid......... for both!
White Oak 0
I have Hidden and Dangerous, not deluxe though but i imagine it will work for it also. For sniper zoom, right click , then push mouse , to zoom in, pull to zoom out. try that gents.
insaneflyingmonkey 0
hmmmm.... 264 is too big for a 56k'er like me.... hmmmmm don't worry, my bro in university wil d/l it for me on his dsl, then bring it at xmas..... muhhahahaha.....
WytchDokta 6
I got the Deluxe Edition - it owns. Why can the Thompso M1A1 SMG only hold 20 rounds though? The Thompson M1A1 SMG could hold 30 in real life.... Realistic too.
