Gray Wolf 0
The Map – I've Looked in the PDF manual and could not find. What is the size of one square on the command map?? (it seem to be 20x20 meters, but I'm not sure) The Binoculars – I've noticed that the measurement of distances show all the time in 'M's which I presume read Meters. However, when looking far far away, the numbers show 1.7M; 1.6M that is probably Miles or supposed to be Kilometers. Now I wonder. If it is Miles, It seems odd that this gadget suddenly switch from the Metric system to the British one, and if it is Kilometers, why doesn't the 'M' switches to 'K' ? Is it a bag in the program or what? Waypoints – Well, they seem to work. But I've noticed that sometimes, when I am setting waypoints to my group (the one I'm manually commanding), the indicator shows the next waypoint for awhile and then Poof, they vanish. Why ?! is there a trick to restore them?? And another waypoint question: When those waypoints stays for me, It happens so, that when I'm leading my teammates and passing a waypoint not exactly on it's spot, it keep showing me that waypoint behind. Is there a why to tell the game to remove that previous (passed) waypoint and show the next one? A story 'bout a boy name Charlie – When playing A "kill 'em all" game, A boy name Charlie didn’t advance to his waypoint(s) in spite of the map commanding him to 'advance' (yellow arrow) or even 'in all costs' (double green arrow), there was a permission to open fire and no enemy was in the vicinity. So what is wrong with this guy? What if the other guys got far ahead. Does this minor fact make him to be so terrified?? (Will a shrink back in base can help this guy or maybe can you??) Multiplayer – Where do I find a game? TIA Wolf.
Private B 0
The Map - Yeah, it was mentioned somewhere in past posts, think it was around 20-25 m The Binoculars - Yep, that reads metres, atleast i always thought so... Waypoints - Correct me if I'm wrong. There is a line going from your position to the waypoint, when it is flashing yellow, the commander of the group is still pending on how to get there, when it is white and stopped lashing he figured out the route... When it flashs for a while and then dissapears, i think the route might be set too far away with too many obstacles to go around... just set multiple ways point preferably goin in straight lines with out any obstacles in between. And you have to get close to the waypoint and hear the confirmation of you teammates, saying that they reached it, if you are not sure if you are right on top of it, zoom in on your minimap to check. Charlie Brown - Not sure about this one Multiplayer - GR Net Dedicated Server Page ^^that's where I play most of the time, but right now Pave is trying 'something' else on it so you have to wait before playing there. On the front page of this site down the right hand side you should find some IPs and their server name, you just write that down or remember it if you have a good memory. In Ghost Recon, go to multiplayer and click on the Internet tab and then add you IPs, then you can join them. And other Ips are posted here > Dedicated Servers Hope I was helpful....I'm not clear on the waypoints section coz I haven't played single player for a while... Swarm 0
The Binoculars- I've found that if you are near a bush or something (in it) and you pull out the Binocs they sometimes read abit of the bush. All the bush really is is a shape made in 3D studios Max with a alpha texture placed on it. Some parts of the bush showup as clear and when you look at those parts the binocs thing you are looking at something close-by. Waypoints- The waypoints vanish (I think, but I'm pretty sure) because you are controling the guys running on the waypoint. As a human you can remember where you want to go (maps are not that big as to lose sight of where you want to go on the command map) so the computer does not need to waste time figuring out where the command points go. Also if you miss a waypoint there is no way to go back and remove it (that I know of). You must either delete all the waypoints back to it or simply moveone to the next one (IMO it doesn't really matter since you know where you want to go, and missing a waypoint won't matter much). Charlie- I'm not sure but maybe the waypoints you setup for him are still being computed by GR. I've found that if I create a waypoint far away and around alot of corners GR takes awhile to setup the waypoint so it can be followed. Try waiting awhile or setting up new waypoints. Also he maybe stuck on the map. This does not happen often but it can happen. Try to go into him and move him around abit. Hope to see you on the battlefield
STU_Snake 0
If you bought the game retail, you can check your manual for some FAQ's about ghost recon
fltopp/force recon 0
I concur on the Waypoints answer that was added. As far as the cancelling out of waypoints, you can right click and the waypoints showing a ll ready assigned will disappear one at a time. OORAH!!!!!
STU_Snake 0
that works, and right clicking is much faster
