The Emperor 0 Posted September 29, 2003 Share Posted September 29, 2003 Hey there. I've been playing on Ubi for a couple years now and I am getting sick of all the hypocrisy over cheating. When I first started playing I didn't even know what cheating or glitching were. Big guarded secrets! Then I found out how all those really "good" players could seem to know exactly where I was even when I was well hidden. They had the glass wall cheat and/or the badboy cheat that turns the team color uniforms bright colors. Then I realized that is why the games are so lopsided. Ubi should have rooms for people who use these "cheats" so they can play each other, and thus have fair balanced games. Instead of everyone being so uptight about admitting how much cheating really goes on, just acknowledge it is a different level of the game like any other mod and have rooms for people who want to play that way. The people who score high every game and claim they are just that good are hard to believe. I always love it when a guy who just got 20 kills bitches someone else is cheating. How could he know unless he can see through the walls too? I think the worst people are the ones who cheat and won't admit it and complain when they cheat worse than the others in the game. Their phony outrage is annoying and they should just play on the level with other people using glass walls and/or other bad boy cheats and lose like men without crying foul all the time. People will always be able to hack games and create cheats so let's start being realistic about the fact many so called "great" players are really just sanctimonious cheaters. If they stay out of regular games and are just playing others with the same cheats then they are playing fair and shouldn't be hounded or banned. The no tolerance policy on cheats in GR is like the policy on gays in the military - it will never work cause there are already so many in you can't ever find them all and even if you could there are so many it would be useless to try to kick them all out. Isn;t it time to admit the emporor is not wearing any clothes and allow "cheaters" to just have their own games and get out of the closet? In then end it is only cheating if it amounts to an unfair advantage, and this way it wouldn't. Link to post Share on other sites
