Zantar45 0
New game coming out next year and it is being described as the ''Halo-Killer''. The game is being made by Guerrilla Games of Europe. (under construction) Sony's UK PlayStation.com site has released some of the first high-resolution shots of upcoming FPS Killzone, being developed in Europe for the PS2. While details and visuals had heretofore been rather slim, the site talks up the game's environments and gameplay. Unfortunately, it still offers little in the way of explanation of its premise or solid info about its modes, options, or planned release. The game has been touted as a "Halo-killer" since before it was even officially announced. These shots look extremely promising, but we can't claim to know if it deserves that appellation just yet. Make up your own mind. Uk.Plastation.com Gamespot The games enviroment is said to be more realistic then any other console game to date, along with huge battles taking place. Also the weapons are going to be as close to modern military weapons are with a somewhat futuristic feel to them. There are also dropships (like Starcraft ) and other types of futuristic military vehicles. The gameplay is somewhat team based, there are three of you and each one of your teammates has different abilities/specialties, and you can switch characters to progress through missions. I can't wait to see more about this game let alone play it. Anyone else getting a definite Jin-Roh vibe off this game? "
Major Maximum 0
damn, that looks awesome. Looks like they're using XM8's there. And yeah, definately looks a lot like Jin-Roh, and I say its about time theres a non-DBZ/pokemon anime shooter out there.

Zantar45 0
*bumpity bump bump* gameplay video  Killzone announced for US market  SCEA set to publish Guerrilla's first-person shooter in Q4. Not many details on Guerrilla's upcoming first-person shooter, Killzone, have surfaced recently, but today at a press event for some of Sony's 2004 releases, some new information surfaced, not the least of which was that the game is currently set to be released in North American in Q4 of this year. Killzone takes place in the near-future and is set against the backdrop of a planetary war between the planet-colonizing ISA and a separatist military faction known as the Helghast. The game opens on a planetary colony known as Vecta, where you'll start by escorting a high-ranking ISA official on his way to an evacuation point. The game's design has been inspired by many real-life war scenarios from the 20th century, from the trench warfare of WWI to WWII-style city sieges to the jungle warfare of Vietnam. In the game, you'll be able to choose from four different ISA troops, each of whom will have his own special abilities and weapons. The game will contain 25 different weapons, and these weapons are said to be influenced by modern military hardware. In addition to the single-player campaign, Killzone will also have team-based and competitive multiplayer, as well as an online component, though there aren't any serious details about the online options yet beyond that it will support up to 12 players and will have voice support via the USB headset. Eleven different war-torn environments will be in the game. The game's AI is said to be highly advanced, allowing enemy troops to work together in squads. We'll have more information and media on Killzone a little later today. By Jeff Gerstmann, GameSpot GameSpot Also, Killzone.com

The Bus Driver 0
I watched the movie for it looks nice but it sure dont look like no Halo killer too me! Halo doesnt really look realistic. It looks cartoonish to me. That right there looked like real characters, when he reloads, it looks like a movie. I think it looks awesome. and an XM8.... i just dont see it in those pictures. looks more like a g36 than anything with those raised gun sight rail.
Zantar45 0
I like how the weapons look. For some reason the main assault rifle reminds me of the one in STALKER. pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 action pic1 action pic2 No idea if the pics are viewable, might have to register at Killzonegame.com to see them. deathmonger338 0
New game coming out next year and it is being described as the ''Halo-Killer''. The only "Halo-Killer" out there is going to be Halo 2.
Zantar45 0
I really wonder how good it is since everyone has been touting it as a ''HALO Killer'' before it was even officially announced. You gotta admit though, it looks good especially since it's not even finished yet. It could be better then Halo since Halo came out for the Xbox a long time ago by the time Killzone is released. (Q4 2004/Q1 2005). Got two pics of each game to compare side by side. Reguardless of what game is ''better'' it's a good time to be a gamer right now. (except for going broke buying all these games )
