Chef-Scott 0
Are there any free programs to help out with this task? I've been looking around and so far all I have found are pay programs. Keep in mind this is for WinDogs 98se.

Specter 0
Just remember, that before changing anything in the registry, to back it up in case you mess up. Open Regedit, go to File, Export, and choose a safe place to export a copy of your registry to. That way, if you mess up, you can reboot in Safe Mode, double click the Reg file, and restore your settings. Do this before you change a thing.
Chef-Scott 0
Thanks for the links! But it seems that all are pay programs now. Well I guess I'll have to do it the old fashioned way... manually And you better beleive that I will back up the registry first!!
Rocky 1,224
Thanks for the links! But it seems that all are pay programs now. For real?! Lemme go check.... Free Regseeker RegCleaner - Free
Chef-Scott 0
Well this one is a 30 day trial...RegCleaner, so to me that is not free. And I was mistaken on the other one (RegSeeker) it is free for personal use. Thanks for the links Rocky.
Giampi 39
Few days ago Jari Vataneen (or something similar) sold his software to the software house Macecraft and thus the software is not more free. This is a bad news for everyone since Regcleaner is one of the best software available for the registry cleaning.
