You open a menu on the collecter and click gather and they go about their buisness. I got mine for $10 at target, they usually have it there. I absolutely love the game, it's a really fresh spin on the whole RTS game. You have to think a little, there's quite a bit of tactical thinking required in it. You can't just build interceptors and rush the enemy. The story line is great too, and the graphics are still pretty nice, but HW II blows them out of the water. I like RTS games when u got ur resources up and running and you got all your army/fleet on standby for your commands.
