potshot 0
Was jus talkin to a mate in IRC and it suddenly occured to me that there is no GR.net IRC channel. If no1 thinks it would be useful fair enough , but im pretty sure would be handy thing to have up. As i said, set 1 up here on quakenet #gr.net Get IRC client here: mIRC Get a bunch of peeps in there and few of the GR.net admins (or what ever is required) can request a bot to keep the channel regulated. Requesting Q for a channel Requirements: The channel and website HAS to be gaming related. To qualify for Q you need to have 25 users in your channel. You also need a large enough average user base during the past weeks. The opers will not provide you with information about your current average user base. For a clan channel request, four (4) of the opped users must be clan members listed on the clan webpage. We will only provide ONE Q-Bot for a clan or other type of channel. This means we do NOT give Q to tactic/private/admin channels (get L instead, for these channels). You must be authed with Q (if you don't know how-to, read the Q-FAQ). You MUST be opped on the channel. You MUST have a finished gaming related webpage, read the next section for further rules about pages. The four opped required users in the channel HAVE to use the same nicks in IRC that they use on the website. Otherwise the request will be rejected. If the request is for a Clan channel you MUST be a full member of the clan. If the request is for another gaming related channel you MUST be an owner or admin of the website. You must remove other Bots or Eggdrops if you do not know how to configure them to work with Q. The channel name MUST be similar to the clan/website name. If two or more members are sharing the same IP, the reason for this HAS to be stated in the comment field. Otherwise the request will be rejected. Just wana hear your thoughts/insults/whatever Anyhoo, Happy Fraggin... Edited September 27, 2003 by potshot
WhiteKnight77 1
I had an IRC channel at irc.icq.com at one time, but let it close due to lack of interest. When I get back online at home, I may put one back up if interest is there.
Syncopator 0
I think the recent records breaking re: users online - etc.. would suggest it's time. Other sites I use have a 1/4 of the traffic and maintain IRC. Any more support?
