EricJ 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Share Posted September 23, 2003 (edited) Hi, this is a 16 mission campaign mod I conceived in Febuary (really didn't think I'd do sixteen....), and due to circumstances (going to the field and such) has delayed the mod quite a bit, as well as some laziness. But the campaign isn't so much a story, just a collection in a way of a storyline, which is mainly hostage rescue stuff, as well as a few shoot em ups interspersed, along with a stealth mission. In a way it's jumbled, but then again, it's my first real time scripting missions, and working with people who have helped throughout the months: BajaBravo: For letting me use his Ranger and SFOD-D characters from his SabreTeams Mod. Cocobolo DTD: For use of the IDF characters from his IDF v1.3 mod. Also helped in mission testing Jack57: Needless to say, he has done mission testing, and help with this campaign, particularly the scripting angle. The_Slink: Mission Testing. NGRU_Crazy1: Mission Testing. benelli_hk: Mission Testing. Argyll: For use of one of his M4 variants for G16 - Plucking Feathers. SnowFella, for letting me use his OKO Holosight and suppressor for the AKS-74UT. Big thanks to these guys for enduring this kinda slow process and help, and recommendations as well! phatbenny 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Share Posted September 23, 2003 Played mission 1 - looks promising...but...cleared all tango's and tanks/SAM's - but three problems: 1) eliminate SAMs objective didn't complete 2) couldn't rescue hostage - just moved her around a bit 3) mission wouldn't complete (extraction zone had appeared) Any ideas/known problems? - looking forward to mission 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

It has to be one of the kits in Mp2. I'll redo the mission so I use some original kits, if it's going to be a problem. @phatbenny. Gonna have to relook at the mission, as I thought the problem was fixed. Patch V1.1 Fixes: -Kit problems in G06 -Missing model and texture for G06. Simply Unzip this to the GlobeTrotting folder, and it will ask to replace the folders, and click OK. It will also overwrite the old mission too. egobirchy 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Share Posted September 24, 2003 Thanks for looking at this Eric. I was over at phatbenny's last night and was watching him pay the mission. The problem he had was that he couldn't 'collect' the hostage. ie - he would bump into her, but she wouldn't then follow. Suggest temporary solution is to do the old 'autowin'. If not, then that could be the only problem I can think of, as the effect I have listed could be searching for that file that may be in the Mp2 folder. Also, I looked around, and those files listed are not present. I honestly don't know what the problem is man as there shouldn't be those files around the folders. @egobirchy. It may be the fact that enemies are around? Because I do it in the order of moving to the town first, eliminate enemies around there, then move on to either of the SAM sites while taking care of anybody that comes in the way. Then after all the SAMs and enemies are cleared, I then go and bump the hostage, and she comes right along. It could be that enemies are around that is preventing her from moving. Plus behind that bombed out house is another enemy. It just could be AI.... Run through the mission as so and get back to me, as said before, I've had no problems doing that, as well, I've done that way on numerous tests and gotten the same results. @Stalker. I was then able to get to the "loading mission" screen, and then it CTD at that point while loading. Here's the ike.log. Let me know if anything looks out of place. Okay, this is a lesson learned, make sure you have all the correct actors, and not ones from mods, or make sure they are there. I'm learning. This should fix it. Well, first of all is to say HELLOOOOOO! To all the people, specially to EricJ. Can I re-edit the first mission?? The only way to move the woman is this I think I know the problem...In the second...no idea...I have the same problem. the trigger of proximityplatoon doesn't work. This mood looks cool at all. EricJ 0 Posted September 26, 2003 Author Share Posted September 26, 2003 Okay, the main problem is that the ContinueIf (the mode is Co-op) is part of the startup script. I removed that ages ago, and unfortunately I saved it under a different thing, and replaced it. I just went through it and that was the problem. Give me five minutes, and the new mission is up. Or if you are familiar with Igor, simply delete: Continue executing responses (if the mode is Co-op) This will fix it. I don't think I'll need help with the missions Spanish UOE, least not yet, as I'm responsible for them. I appreciate the offer though. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The main thing I changed was that when you bump the woman, the "Rescue the spy" objective will be completed, and if there aren't any enemies around, she'll follow. Berzerker 0 Posted September 26, 2003 Share Posted September 26, 2003 (edited) Ok mis one hostage problem. Take out both SAM's. Then sneak in and get her, before you destroy the Tank near the road. Then destroy the Tank and clear the vilage. {I think you have to get her before the friendlies start moving in}. That worked for me any way. I just ran it again. Not sure about the freidlies, but you got to get her before you blow that tank, covering the road from where the freidlies come in. I've fixed the problem with the hostage in mission one but I still searching the problem with the SAMs. At all, now I can take the hostage and bring her to extraction. The mission will ends...I still searching the problem with the SAMs...The new mission I will send it to ErickJ and he will decides if is ok and if it's posible to use it....
