Just for starters the game's interface looks like ######. Looks like the work of a ###### monkey. And there's not a lot of planes to play and the missions are kinda boring. In the demo... The game is a whole other story. The interface still looks like ###### but once you get past that and you start flying you start getting into it, then you are hooked. The flight model (I heard) is very realistic. The most realistic in fact. As proof, just try to shake off a P-39 in a Bf109 (if they are in the demo) with full realism settings. If you survive at the first try... my hat's off to you. Chances are you are going to stall, flat spin and take the looks and shape of a pancake when you hit the ground. That and the graphics themselves and the plane models are incredible. Consider that IL2 is an OLD game (more than a year!!) . Yodasplat Posted January 12, 2003 Author Share Posted January 12, 2003 T_1 tried to join but unfortunately he didn't have the patch(es) installed. as i said in my above post, you have to have 1.2 installed in order to join the servers. As these are big patches (25 and 75 mbs respectively) take your time to dl them. I will prolly run another server either later tonight or tomorrow evening.
