  1. Hi! I'm playing Heroes Unleashed now (with it's "Legacy" submod) and I'm torn about an aspect. See, I love the reinforcement trucks arriving on the battlefield. They shake up the gameplay, making things more dynamic. BUT they seem to only appear on medium difficulty (Realistic) which for it's part places SO many enemy soldiers on missions it makes levels feel crowded. I prefer the easiest difficulty (Sandbox) in this respect. So, is there a way to have those trucks arriving (like in medium diff) but with the lesser number of enemy troops (as in easiest diff)? In other words, striking a balance between the two? Some file where I can change that? Thanks!
  2. Just started playing the mod, beat like 3 missions, and I just wanted ask something. Each soldier has like 350 kits or whatever, but it honestly feels like, in a game like this, anything without a scope that can magnify is just straight up inferior. Enemies notice you from so far away and basically instakill with one shot. Like, seriously. It feels like the only options from the kit selection worth picking are the first 10, because at least that primary weapon actually lets you zoom in an exceptional distance, and lets you be able to reliably aim and fire at targets, unlike everything else, where you'd have better luck trying to hit a fly with a dart than trying to aim and hit at the 3 pixels kms off in the distance. Can I ask, what am I doing wrong here? I know there's no way that this creator of this mod put in all that effort to make so many kits usable only to have 99% of them be worthless comparatively, so I need to know, in what situations would I use the other kits that only have weapons WITHOUT these high powered scopes? I honestly can't really see any meaningful difference between all the various assault rifles (all fire bullets quickly and accurately), so why wouldn't I just pick the option that actually lets me see what I'm shooting? Same applies to all the kits with primary weapons that AREN'T assault rifles. Like, why choose anything with a shotgun/grenade launcher as a primary if I can get it as a secondary and have a far, FAR more generally effective weapon in my primary slot? Everything dies in one shot regardless most of the time, so like, why not always have the primary choice be a weapon that has a higher clip, far more range, and faster firing speed, ESPECIALLY when the other choices can still be taken as secondaries anyway? Heck, the support class as a whole feels kinda useless due to this reason, with no magnification scopes or anything. Also, is there any way for me to command individual soldiers to go/stay somewhere instead of having them always follow me? Probably not, but figure it was worth asking. Thank you.

  4. *I copy and pasted this from the general discussions being that I am new to this site and don't know how or see an option to delete comments yet* So I'm realizing that this game even as awesome as it is alone with the HU mod that it could be better with some other mods. Does anybody have any suggestions (of existing mods) that can make this game better? There's some weapons that I would like to have suppressors that don't have suppressors. I think for the sake of realism it was a good idea to not allow a red dot or holographic sights to actually zoom in all the way, however being that we are not in a real environment in a game it's not very realistic to just aim a crosshair at a target across the map neither is it very easy (making something harder doesn't make it more real). I wish that red dot or holographic sights or those that aren't an ACOG would at least offer a little bit of zoom because the human eye knows how to focus on a target in real life. For some reason I feel like there's already an add-on that exist for this. That is one of the few things that I would have kept from the original game but just minimized it instead of allowing an M4 with iron sights to zoom in half way it would only zoom in a quarter of the way. Also whenever my guys are telling me they've been spotted or somebody is wounded or they're taking fire or absolutely anything, in real life you would know what teamates are speaking to you. Heroes Unleashed does not show at all who is telling you they're under fire or who is telling you that they've arrived to their destination or who is telling you that they just confirmed a kill. Please, if you have any leads on mods that can bring this these elements back to the gameplay I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot. By the way, if there is still somebody who makes mods for this game, is it possible to create a "thermal" vision mod? Post Script: In "real life" I am a small arms expert for the disclaimer. An ACOG site offers 3x-4x zoom. So it should offer some zoom in the game, but a rifle or submachine gun with iron sights or a regular 5 MOA or 3 MOA Red-dot/Holographic sight should also offer a little bit of zoom (in the game) to simulate the focus of the human eye on an object or person. Not to simulate magnification.
  5. After installing the mod disappeared gunshots tanks. How to fix? Machine guns firing normally.
  6. Some folks in Japan have been streaming their Ghost Recon: Heroes Unleashed co-op gaming sessions to Ustream. So far there are more than 15 hours worth of gameplay footage! They started with "vanilla" Ghost Recon, then used an older version of the mod, and video 4 and onwards show them playing Heroes Unleashed v1.0.0b7. I think it may be worth watching.
