  1. tnx Aggressor, both the M4 and the mp5 will be in the Silent Warrior 2 mod. ah, yes. the tactical attachments, well whatever i seem to make, a flashlight or a laser or something, they just not turn out the way i want them to. so i will be working on them but will only attach them to the weapons if i can get them right.
  2. work on the camoed and uncamoed Mp5s has finished. desert versions of the mp5 and the M4 will follow soon, i hope!
  3. any word on the status of this mod? i am really looking forward to the Force Recon mod, but haven't heard anything related to this mod in a while.
  4. this is a bit off topic, but i think you will like this, the last couple of days a lot of people have been asking for high res M4 pictures for textures. i found a little gallery with high res M4 and other pictures, hope this will help. http://www.pbase.com/batman/aegs
  5. made some further changes to the 'woodland' camo for the mp5. toned it down a bit and used less camo on it. it even looks good in nightvision now. have a look and i going to leave it as it is right now, next up i will be making / texturing the 'plain' mp5 and M4, a desert version of the M4 and i going to try and make some tactical goodies to put on the weapons. @ Ruin, thank you for explaining me your camo techniques, getting some good results for the desert camo.

  8. thanks for the offer,Incubus, i will keep it in mind, but i really want to give it a try myself first, so when i get the hang of it i will be able to use it on other models. i made a bit of a mistake in a earlier post, the polycount with optimizing is 942.

  10. yes i use the VDL camo plugin to make the camo, with the green it works great in my mind, but havening lots of problems with it making a desert camo, i am currently trying to make my one, but it will take some more time before i am completely satisfied with it. And i have never seen a camoed mp5 in GR, so i wanted to make one but i am also making one without the camo so people can choose which one they like best and want to play with. about the spec ops stuff, i will adding something like a laser sight or flashlight. but that is the next fase also tnx about the alpha channel tip, will

  14. @ FlyBy, thank you for your kind words, maybe the uncamoed version will be in the next Silent Warrior mod, wasn't to happy with the way it looked in GR, but i have found a way to alter it, so after i am finished with the mp5s, i will give the uncamoed M4 another go. in the meantime, here are 2 new screenies of the camoed mp5. it still needs some work on the lefthandpoint and the texture in some places, but i like it
  15. and i thought i did the best i could to get them below 1800, no just kidding. the polycount for the first model was something like 2500 at the first try, but it ran fine on my pc, and that is only a 900 Mhz.
  16. thanks Earl and =MM= Shadow, i really appreciate it. i have made the textures smaller and they are now 513 Kb in size, i hope this is acceptable in your eyes. if not, please let me know, because i want to make my mod available for everybody.
  17. managed to make the texture a bit smaller, the new size is 1024x1024 and only 2 mb. also made a new camo texture for the mp5, which i think will look a bit better ingame. will have some results for you soon. have to retexture the model.

  20. i totally agree with you, donkey fart. when i showed my first model almost a month ago, i got some great feedback and help, that kept me going at times when i wanted to give up modding. without the support of the community no one would make mods!
  21. and i have a question for all of you. is there a size limit for texture files? for example, the ones i made for the M4 models where around 300 Kb, but the ones i made for the mp5 are more than 4 mb, can that cause any problems or is it save to leave it as it is?
  22. tnx Hitman, but i like said in a previous post, it is still a work in progress. exported it today, just to see how it would look ingame, not completely satisfied with it. Hand placement isn't perfect and i think the texture is a bit too bright, but have a look yourself
