The Hk53 is still on my to do list and the m4 commando you are talking about can be reproduced from the m4 i textured a while ago. i have the attachments that go with it textured and ready.
Although that m4 texture is something i still am not happy about and maybe i will have to do it again...some day.
First up is to finish the models i am working on right now.

When do you plan to release this mod...
And how many weapons/kits you thinking about putting in it?
to be honest, i do not have a answer to both your questions at this moment. I am trying to work on this as much as possible but also have to concentrate on school, work, my work for BFS, my social life, enjoying some games, playing hockey twice a week, making textures, helping others when i can, my own little side project.............and the list goes on and on.
I want to start thinking about releasing it when i feel i have a good enough 'package' of models to present to you all and i am not there yet, but it is getting close....

My entry:

It has been solved!!!! thanks to a good friend and collegue of mine.
It has to do with a file called Hosts in my system32 folder, it connected all the sites where the ads come from with my local host IP ( 127.0.0.1 )
by deleting all these lines from that file, i am again able to view all the ads!!

does anybody know which programs are allowed to add lines to that file?

I guess this will remain a mystery, also have been asking around on other forums but it seems noone knows the asnwer to this annoying problem.

The scopes i have right now are the Aimpoint, Acog and Trijcon and i am currently working to finish the Eotech scope.

Hey Swartsz,
When I made the SCAR for the first time I took some extra time to make the 7.62 and the 5.56 to scale. Ifyou want the large textures as a reference they are yours.
You are right if you are trying to tell me that the models aren't 100% up to scale, after i had the basic shape done i completed the model with just looking carefully at my reference pictures. Call it the artists eye or something....

But i am pretty pleased with the way they look now and i also must move on to new models. All that is left to do is to finish the texture of the Eotech scope which i want to finish in the next couple of days so i devote all my attention to a new model i am working on.
Also i redid the 5.56 magazine so it now looks more like the standard 5.56 mag.

-
swartsz - are the magazines from your source picture painted as well? I think that it would look better with the standard aluminium magazine. But that's just my opinion.
This might be your best yet
yes they are! but i agree the weapon will also look great with the 'normal' 5.56 mag. I will try to paint that one, shouldn't be too hard.....

edit: how is this?

-
You plan to make it into the lights 5.56mm?
Finished it today!
So you saying your going to put all the weapons you modeled up into one mod?maybe not all of them, but yes. Currently i am working on a little project with Eskwaad.
-
personally i am not too worried about this delay, only gives the devs more time to make it a better game.

for me not every game i buy and play has to be a hardcore tactical sim and BiA RtH30 and EiB fit that category perfectly. It looks great, gameplay is fun and a not too big learning curve for new players.
One thing i also like a lot is the way the game tries to tell a story and tries to make you a part of that story.
One thing it could have done without is the Band of Brothers style logos and splashscreens. have seen it too much now, also in other games.
just my opinion.....

-
New movie coming in 2006 from the makers of Shrek and Madagascar and it is looking pretty cool.
-
The vert grip looks kinda thin to me, in relation to the rest of the weapon. Does look gorgeous though.
you might be right on the grip, thanks for the tip!
Now we won't see any more screens from swartsz in awhile due to EIB.LOL, although it is very entertaining, i really like it, i will not forget my models and textures because i still have a lot to do....

-
Also in Normandy like BiA1, you start playing on D-Day as Hartsock. and it is no easy task i can tell you.
-
thank you very much guys!
-
well, i have the game here on my desk and HD and all i can say is wow. it really is a great new chapter in the Brothers in Arms story and believe me the demo is nothing compared to the full game.
also something that is very cool to look at, HERE are loads of screens from the production progress of the game, really like the screenshots of the 3ds views of some of the models.
-
a shame to hear that, was looking forward to finally see something of that top secret project but at the same time i am also pleased to hear we will see more of this project.
-
Whoah, that is.... Amazing! Beautiful work! But, behind the muzzle flash it looks like it's rusted? Why's that?
because i made a mistake and removed the wrong layer....
but i have fixed it since the last renders. Here is a render with the correct colour and the textured foregrip.
Do you know of any tutorials about with info on mnaking your own weapon textures? I recently tried and failed miserably.there are loads of tutorials around that you can use to make your own textures, a good way to start is to look at some general photoshop tutorials about for example making a metal texture. But if you are looking for some tutorials especially on the subject of making weapon textures the website to visit is www.sourceblog.net they have a large section of tutorials on making weapon textures both in text and video.

swartsz, are you planning on making an Eotech sight any time soon? I think that'd be a great addition to your weapons.
something like this?

I have worked a bit more on the Eotech after i made this render and lowered the polycount of the scope to 260.
And thank you all for the kind words!
-
love coming here and watch your progress Snow, great work!!
And ofcource abit of a setback Last savefile has been corrupt somehow and refuses to open. Luckily I hadn't made any real big changes from the previous version so not much work was lost.that has to be the most constant pain with all version of 3ds Max.
-
You can! it is at the 'Westergasfabriek' in Amsterdam! so much for trying to keep the location a secret. Although i'll bet you will have a hard time getting in, lets just hope they will release a lot of info and screenshots from all the games shown there.
-
thanks guys!!

A bigger render of the model and especially the texture is now available at my website...

now to get busy finishing some attachments and the SCAR-L before i will move on to the next model.

almost correct, the right way to say it is "mag ik nog een gram?" otherwise people might think you got lost in germany and ended up in Amsterdam.
Next time he visits Amsterdam tell him when he sits down in a restaurant with pictures of Bob Marley and green leaves everywhere he went to the wrong place......
Can you now imagine why we dutchies always have to open our bags at every airport?
