It would not suprise me if they were able to do more with the 360 version than the PC version. I don't know which one I like better, I just want the game. I'll have a copy of both versions anyways.
The cross com camera is divided in two parts. One is a small representation of threat with buildings and major obstacles outlines. Target assesment is about 200% faster this way. Here you see you buddies outlook and what targets he sees. THEN we have the seccond layer with the realtime view from your buddys helmet. Here you look at situations more than enemies - what does my buddy cover, does he see some cover up ahead that i missedon the tectical map and so on. It is up to the player to switch between them.
An official reply, huzzah there is a god! Sorry I got used to the Ubi forums cold shoulder treatment.
Thanks for the reply Bo you answered everything I was questioning. It's an option that's all I needed to know.

Creating a wireframe overlay of a battlefield would take WAY more processing power in real life then to simply feed some video over whi-fi. Icto facto the real-time video feed is more realistic. It also looks WAY better then that TRON overlay.

Ok I'm gonna stop dodging what I want to say. The wireframe crosscom view is hideous, so I'm hoping it's an option because I find the real-time feed much more immersive.
Maybe the wireframe is some sort of infrared view from a drone or something, but in the screenshots it really distracted me from the rest of the on screen elements. It's so ugly it stuck out like a sore thumb.

I'm hoping to get an official word on this, hopefully it's an option I really much prefer the real-time feed.
Really I feel the real time video feed is more realistic, since it's simply a camera mounted on the teammates helmet. And the new one is a rendered overlay, which is really harder to do in rality then a simple video feed. So really the real-time feed is more realistic.

Fair, I should have specified I was wondering about in single player. Which is what I usually plaid Ghost Recon 1 for.
So will we get full crosscom quality in single player?

In the latest PC screenshots the crosscom is shown with a very low quality tron-ish (dont know how else to describe it) quality to it. Where as the X60 version has a realtime display of teamates view. Can we expect the PC version to have the washed out crosscom picture or the full blown real-time feed?
Please don't try and say the engine can't handle it, it's been done before in some PC games including Half-Life 2 (in Nova Prospekt) and in Swat 4, very well in both.
GRAW media stranglehold

It's doesn't make sense for Microsoft to be holding back the PC information. For one very important reason, WINDOWS IS A MICROSOFT PLATFORM. Holding back PC media is bad for them since most gaming PCs run on their freakin OS.
