  1. These days I reserve replying only to posts that I feel passionate about and this is a topic that I have given much consideration to, especially lately with all the school shootings. First off, without turning this into a moral and/or religous debate (which are not allowed for obvious reasons) I think a lot of how a person replies to a dangerous and potentially deadly situation is based on their own philosophy on life and their own morals/ethics. There is clearly a divide between those who would fight for their saftey and the safety of others and those who would turn a cheek and/or do nothing. In my opinion, the only thing you did wrong was you didn't run the man over. I know that sounds harsh and yes I am being slightly sarcastic, but in reality, although you may have prevented this one situation, the sad truth is it will likely happen again. Regarding your girlfriend's comments (again, not to sound too harsh) I guarantee you that if she ever found herself in a bad situation (and they happen just walking down the street or parking your car at the mall), she WOULD want someone to get involved. If everytime a perpetrator of violence walked into a school or a public place or even someone's home and they were challenged by an individual or group of people who were willing to risk their life to subdue the person we would see a decrease in these vicious attacks. In two words, Lets Roll. You did the right thing...without a doubt. P.S. I don't think enough can be said for responsible gun ownership and concealed carry weapon permits, but that's a whole 'nother topic.

Many may wonder why we continue to discuss this thread...and many probably wonder why Calius (and a few others) believe what they do...for most of us our mind is made up...but...BUT... A recent poll showed that like 36 percent of Americans believe the government was involved with or at least knew and didn't stop the attacks of 9/11. 36 Percent. ZOINKS! I don't claim to understand how or why...and really IMHO it's kind of sad that so many people think that...but next time you start criticizing Calius for being a little paranoid...there are many others that believe it too. Personally, I think if anything it continues to show how corrupt the media is. Come on, how hard is it to really "manipulate" a poll to reflect the data you want and then you misrepresent the data to express your point of view. I mean, too a certain extent I believe the government knew there was a "pending credible threat" and didn't do enough to stop it...but I sure don't believe the involvement was anymore than that. Anyways...go easy on Calius...he remains a true professional as he debates this topic...he's taken some pretty stern questioning and keeps coming back for more.

Fair enough...and I believe it was a "genuine response" - we've been debating this far too long...I know you weren't being sarcastic or flippant. What do I think of OBL and his role in 9/11...? I would agree with the President that he is an Islamic Fascist (one who supports oppressive, dictatorial control)...As far as his role in 9/11, I don't think he was the "mastermind" but I do think he was actively involved in and had knowledge of the events, planning and preparation leading up to the execution of the events of 9/11, as well as a number of other terrorists attacks. He is a serious threat, a terrorist in the truest sense, a person that would have no problems ordering your or my death but probably too weak physically to do it himself. I've always said (or so I thought I did) that my opinion of 9/11 was the only thing the government was guilty of was not doing enough to prevent the attack but that as far as the attacks, they were carried out by the 19 terrorists and 4 airplanes (2 WTC 1 Pentagon and 1 destined for WH or other high value target). I guess the reason I ask this question of you is because your investigative journalistic nature is inspiring but yet I am perplexed at how all of the research always seems to lead you down a road shrouded in conspiracy. I've yet to hear any talk about the tons of information posted on terrorists websites and other media sources - Al Jazeera (sp?) etc that claim responsibility for many of these attacks. I've never heard you mention your thoughts on the validity and accuracy of all the information on the terrorists...so I'm hoping you can provide some details on how you think they're involved in this and if they're a credible threat or the fall guy for the government who is blaming everything on them.

@Calius, Who is Osama Bin Laden and what was his role in 9/11?
  5. I don't play AA - but for those that do...I read in the Navy Times they're releasing AA: SF Overwatch 24 hours prior to the worldwide release...(yeah right). Anyways...I checked the links and looks like you can download the parts (total weighs in just over 2 gig) now. http://www.navytimes.com/content/static/games/gameguide.htm
  6. HAH...I knew you wouldn't "live with it"...heh heh... I'm no Super Bob (where is he when you need him)...but this is what I think... The Master Boot Record (MBR) is created when the disk is partitioned. The MBR contains a small amount of executable code called the master boot code, the disk signature, and the partition table for the disk. At the end of the MBR is a 2-byte structure called a signature word or end of sector marker, which is always set to 0x55AA. A signature word also marks the end of an extended boot record (EBR) and the boot sector. When you start a computer from the hard disk, the system BIOS code identifies the startup disk and reads the MBR. The master boot code in the MBR searches for the active, primary partition on the hard disk. Occasionally the MBR can become corrupted. This can be caused by human error, hardware problems, power fluctuations, viruses, and other factors. Note • You can also use the Recovery Console to rewrite the MBR to resolve a corrupted MBR on a startup disk. Process of fixing seems fairly easy...boot to Windows CD, type R for Recovery, logon (normally just hit enter unless you have password), type FIXMBR, confirm, reboot...voila. Sounds simple...then again, what do I know... *DISCLAIMER* Use at your own risk.
  7. Hey bro... Not sure of your setup as far as number of drives and such and how you plan to boot...but I don't know if ignoring it is the right answer...let me explain why...or at least why I didn't like this answer... I dual boot two drives...both with XP...one is a junk drive and the other is setup for optimum performance...(i.e. the latest drivers and only the games I play often). That way, I can install demos and freeware on my junk drive and not fragment the drive and/or clutter the registry of my game drive. Well, I had a similar problem to yours...I would boot to my junk drive F: and my game drive would show up as C:...so if I install a program it would try and load it on my C and not my F...which is exactly what I didn't want to happen... I think it has something to do with the MBR...and I had heard that you could fix it by booting to your OS CD and selecting repair but I didn't do that...I went into admin tools/computer management/disk management (or something like that)...tinkered around in there and somehow got it working... Now, whatever drive I boot to shows up as the C drive...and I can tell the difference between my game and junk drive by their name (which never changes). I probably confused you even more...hope not tho...heh heh.

My own theory is that most of the conspiracy theorists (except for the real nut jobs) don't even believe what they are saying but are otherwise inspired by fame and fortune to publish this nonsense because the media will jump all over it, every time. Although I wasn't alive during the timeframe (and I'm fairly seasoned...heh heh), I've read and studied an era where the media was about reporting the truth...they had integrity and weren't out for their own fame or blindly supporting their political party. Nowadays I don't think it is that way...it's more about who can get the story with the most shock and awe...whether it's true or not is irrelevant. Just look at the "enhanced pictures" and the woman who claims she lost everything - twice that was interviewed by journalists during Israel's latest conflict. Fake. Look at Dan Rather's report on George Bush's military service. Fake. Another perfect example (in the U.S.) that doesn't relate to 9/11 and conspiracies in general but shows how screwed up the media is was the Jon Benet Ramsey "supposed" killer...the media was all over the story and blew most of it out of proportion until they figured out they all had been duped...when was the last time they've mentioned it since? Wasn't it Hitler that said if you tell a lie long enough... The media is corrupt...

    9/11

@Calius specifically - but for all to ponder, Curious about your thoughts on how the media and all of their biases are involved with the corruption of the world...is the media in the pocket of those truly in power...? The reason I ask is when Fahrenheit 9/11 came out...there was minor discord over the movie which has proven to have verifiable flaws and inaccurate data, yet the movie was still praised by many. Now, there is a new series called Path to 9/11 which spotlights the blunders made by the administrations of Clinton (8 years) and Bush (8 months) leading up to 9/11. From what I've read and heard, the Path to 9/11 series is totally unbiased and provides a truly independent (if that's even possible) perspective of all of the shortcomings that occurred during both administrations...well obviously since Clinton was in office for much longer, a lot of people on that side of the fence are up in arms over it and calling for the network to boycott the show. Now, this treads close to a "political discussion" but I think it's more of a history lesson... Regardless...I'm not concerned with the politics behind it...I'm concerned with the media bias in this instance (and many others). In summary, you have a truly biased and politically slanted film that gets praised and you have a neutral yet honest film that gets ridiculed and boycotted... If the media's job is to report the facts...why is there such concern over this...they have to be involved somehow, or so one would imagine... Thoughts?

@dickie - actually...the conversation started out as the U.S. government and Israel were the masterminds behind 9/11 and it has somehow migrated into a discussion about a broad spectrum of other conspiracy theories and topics...WMDs in Iraq being the latest... @all - Interesting news today...video showing OBL with some of the 9/11 hijackers just prior to 9/11. I guess as we near the anniversay of 9/11 2001...the CIA has to throw the conspiracy theorists a bone for them to pick apart and criticize...

@Calius - hey bro...I wanted to clarify...my post may have seemed a tad harsh and a bit of a poke in the eye...that truly wasn't my intention...I opened with what I meant as a bit o' humor...the whole stress thing and then turning around and saying we're all naive. That was all to "lighten the mood". Regret if that is not the way it was taken... When I say I like you...I truly mean that...you're a very interesting person and although I don't agree with most of what you say...I still very much enjoy debating it with you because of your spot on netiquette. Anyway...the real point of view I guess I was trying to make is there are so many examples of potential threats from the enemy, we (not you, not me, but all of us) need to be very careful to not let the government, the media and anybody else out there to distract us from a very real threat from a group (that I would wager most of us are not a part of) that would have us all eliminated.

    9/11

@calius - I like you...I really do...you stick to your guns in the thick of it and never waiver from your point of view - even when it seems like everyone else is against you. But I gotta wonder...are you at all concerned about your health. Your stress level and blood pressure have to be off the charts. I mean, you're "looking here looking there, looking behind you, trusting nothing and no one". Somebody's gonna walk up behind you and go "Boo!" and you're gonna jump out of your skin. Surely you're not as paranoid as your posts make it sound. (I know, I know...you're thinking "surely everyone posting here isn't as naive as their posts make them sound.") Anyway...I agree with WK completely - in fact I was coming here to post the same thing...I wanted to see how the conspiracy theorists put a spin on this...sounds like they already are. So, let me get this straight, because there was a foiled terrorist threat before using this tactic, that somehow means that the government has its hands wrapped all around it in a conspiracy...makes perfect sense to me. You know those terrorists, they never use the same tactic more than once...all the IEDs we see in Iraq, that's the government planting them to make it look like the terrorists are doing it. So while we're at it...let's hear the "truth" about the 11 Egyptian college students that came to the USA and are no where near where they were suppose to be...or perhaps the inside story on the 2 men found in Ohio being held on terror charges. Yep, good ole Osama Sabhi Abulhassan and Ali Houssaiky have been taken into custody...but I'm sure they're just some of those innocent Americans that are having their rights "ripped away". @Calius - In looking with one eye at all the facts and the other eye on whatever else it is you look at, does it ever cross your mind that perhaps these are legitimate threats being carried out by radical Islamic fundamentalists that want to eliminate EVERYBODY that isn't a follower of their religious doctrine. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're not a Muslim, so I'm pretty sure that you would be included in this group. How does that play into the big scheme of things?

    9/11

@jchung - we obviously have different opinions of conspiracy - conspiracy theory but overall I think we share the same overall perspective on the fundamental question so who cares about the rest, right...heh heh. Amen! I think we are all waiting for this...the only reason I keep coming back...LOL.

    9/11

@jchung - Well then, I guess it comes down to a matter of definition. You choose to use the word conspiracy...and I choose to use conspiracy theory...each has a totally different meaning that supports our different point of views. I personally think this sparring of the small details has gotten us sidetracked from the fundamental question of this whole thread, so I'll ask the question...give you my response and see where you stand...because I really don't know what you think, especially with the broad definition of the word conspiracy that you choose to use... It's my assumption that the 9/11 thread ultimately asks if the government was behind and/or involved with the 9/11 attacks (fully or partially). If so, why? (If people that replied in this topic would just go on record and post their actual perspective instead of "well there are some that think..." it would be very helpful to debate this topic) My answer is that the government was involved inasmuch that they knew there was a significant imminent threat, that it potentially involved aircraft and suicide hijackers and that the government, especially key intelligence agencies, were neglectful in taking appropriate action to warn the public. The government was not involved with carrying out or allowing this attack to be carried out. BTW - I'm in no way trying to change your mind or opinion of the matter...just trying to understand it and whether you actually think the government is involved with the nature of these events and if it was for sinister purposes. Evolution - now there is a conspiracy theory...

    9/11

I'm a little disappointed that out of all the really interesting issues mentioned...we're going to get hung up on some minute points... You say the government already knew the effects of radiation BEFORE testing on US citizens. They already admitted to this. Are you kidding...we still to this day don't know everything there is to know about the short term / long term effects of radiation exposure. Look at Chernobyl...more people die in the United States of cancer from smoking then how many actually died as a result of this accident. The "experts" projected numbers much worse then what we actually encountered - and were surprised with the results. The 2005 report prepared by the Chernobyl Forum, led by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and World Health Organization (WHO), attributed 56 direct deaths (47 accident workers, and nine children with thyroid cancer), and estimated that as many as 9000 people among the approximately 6.6 million most highly exposed, may die from some form of cancer (one of the induced diseases). Nearly 20 years after the disaster, according to the Chernobyl Forum, none of the expected increase in leukemia or solid cancer has been found in the population, nor of the solid cancers. Anyway, for the sake of the arguement, I pretty much agree with everything you said about the nuclear test in the Marshall Islands...at least as far as the testing and objectives they were trying to achieve...what I don't understand is how this is a conspiracy theory...perhaps you can explain that...
  16. Xian Saint

    9/11

@jchung, Don't get me wrong...I agree with the points that you are making...but perhaps there is just a difference of interpretation on the term conspiracy theory. I think you said it best in your final paragraph...when you used the word coverup. To me, there is a huge difference between coverup and conspiracy theory. Dictionary.com defines conspiracy theory as, conspiracy theory n. A theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act. Regarding the items you have listed...(IMHO) I don't think they are a result of a "secret group or alliance" but I do think they were "isolated acts". I think your examples are more a "coverup" or "non-disclosure" then a conspiracy theory. * I never denied the fact that civilians were a part of the Utah test...but I do strongly think that there was a lack of understanding at that time of the long term effects of nuclear exposure and the government may have been imprudent in allowing this kind of test without further research. Do we do it now - I don't think so...so, I consider this an isolated act. * I am well aware of the Bikini Atoll...as my father was in the Army and stationed there (after the actual testing - part of the clean up crew). Again, a conspiracy theory? - I personally don't think so...but was the military/government completely honest with the public...no. Again, was this more for classified purposes or part of some bigger scheme? * Virus Injections - hey, being active duty military - I know all about this...I have witnessed the effects of the Anthrax vaccinations that many have gotten sick over and some have even been kicked out for their refusal to receive it. You either have faith that it is what the government says it is, or it's not. Make your decision accordingly. The military has also collected DNA from all it's servicemembers...is this for identification purposes or part of some big "X-files'ish conspiracy theory"...I tend to think it's for legitimate purposes. That brings up a whole 'nother ball of wax - where are all the conspiracy theorists when it comes to the private sector. You think doctors and such don't experiment on the general population. Sure they do. Heck, they even advertise for potential candidates. I'm always amazed at how people point the finger at the government/military for being the mastermind of all the conspiracies...but blindly ignore the public. I'll give you an example...with modern technology such that it is, you think there isn't an alternative fuel source or method for power. Sure there is. But the oil companies would lose too much money, so nobody really pursues or implements it. * XB70 - I am aware it did Mach 3...the point I was trying to make was for the technology back then, it was quite an accomplishment...in other words, compare the space shuttle of today with the spacecraft of the 60's - 70's...notice anything different...we've made huge progress. My comment on the XB70 was to reinforce the magnitude of it's capabilities for the timeframe it was developed in.
  17. Xian Saint

    9/11

@jchung - are these considered "conspiracies"...I look at them more as classified government projects...if we admitted to doing nuclear weapon testing on some remote island...don't you think all of our enemies would be observing that particular area to see what kind of intelligence they could gather. Same thing with the XB70...an aircraft with that kind of capabilities (at least from that time frame) isn't something we would want our enemies to necessarily be aware of. Just like the the Storax Sedan nuclear test in Utah...this was more of a "hey lets use this nuclear bomb and test it for excavating land (as crazy as that sounds)". It wasn't like there was some cover up plan to blow up innocent civilians in Nevada/Utah. (When I think conspiracy - I think of we set the nuke off in Utah and blamed it on Mexico or something along those lines - I don't think non-disclosure equals conspiracy). The fact is...at the time we weren't aware of all the long term consequences of high radiation exposure. This is true even in the medical world. There are plenty of medical procedures that used to be performed that we now know aren't very practical...(can you say prefrontal leukotomy aka lobatomy). Was this a conspiracy to reduce the population or implant some kind of electronic device in people's brains? Or just a downright bad idea? Don't get me wrong...you're completely right that these occurrences were often publicly denied and "off the record"...I completely agree with you that the government has in the past and probably will in the future continue to coverup different projects and/or operations either based on their classification or even their moral and ethical consequences. Does this mean that the world is controlled by businessmen in suits smoking fat cigars and controlling the world leaders like puppets...My opinion is no...but maybe I'm just naive... @Calius - I know people seem to keep targetting you...your forum ettiquette is commendable...you always seem to keep your cool and not take it personally...that's pretty rare...now how about telling us about your rights that have been stripped away by the government...I'm fascinated to hear about this. @jchung again - outstanding point about "long before the Jesuits"...The conflict between the Jewish people and the Muslims dates back long before any of the secret society that runs the world was even in place...so how do the truly wacked conspiracy theorists explain that, I wonder. Oh, I remember - Israel runs the world...they've got their hands full with Hezbollah...but they still manage to control everything...that's pretty impressive... *General Statement* We need to quit using "getting off topic" as a crutch to not post answers to questions...there is only a few readers who are really participating in this discussion...we've had zero complaints...and if Rocky thinks we're getting out of hand or off topic...he will absolutely let us know.

    9/11

Those are some interesting topics...that I happen to know a little bit about, or at least some of them I do. We may agree on more then what we think...too bad religion and politics are "banned" for discussion here...because we could probably have a heck of a talk then. I still stand behind my perspective of 9/11 though. I've done some more research based on some of our discussions...but when I got to the ones that started suggesting that there weren't any planes crashed on 9/11 that it was all explosives set by the government...I had to quit. That's just idiotic and downright lunacy. I do think there is more going on in the world then what most people know, including some of the topics that you mentioned... You ever read about Ted Turner (TV Network billionaire) and his thoughts on controlling the world population...pretty disturbing when you find his not so politically correct comments. Oh well, that's definitely off topic and likely to start a whole 'nother controversial discussion. I've gotta punch out while the gettings good...

@Calius, Well it's been nice debating with you...I guess we agree to disagree since this isn't getting anywhere but more questions and even more unanswered questions. Hope you find the answers you seek. Honestly...truth be told...I have my own ideas on what makes the world go round...heh heh...but I keep that to myself so people don't think I'm a nut case...perhaps I am. Oh well...all the best to you. Peace. BT AR

    9/11

@Calius - Trust me...I'm in no way trying to persuade your opinion...I'm only trying to understand yours...you're kind of vague with your responses and explanations...and I'm just trying to strike a balance and give your side a fair shake... But when you make statements like... That's a pretty significant accusation with no supporting justification. How am I suppose to look at it from your perspective if you don't provide any greater detail. How wide does "state sponsored terrorism" span...is it isolated to the U.S. or is it global? Are our Allies involved? Is it isolated to the government or is there corporate sponsored terrorism as well? I've asked you some specific questions which you've never answered...and I've reread your former posts and it isn't because you've already answered it. I thought they were fairly easy questions - as they were all just your opinion. If you don't want to answer them, that's fine. My personal feeling is that anybody (not directed at you) who willing or unwilling passes off information as fact when it is indeed not (or even potentially not) it seriously undermines our morals and ethics as well as jeapordizes the safety and integrity of the country (the U.S. or any other). I'm not at all persuaded by you...I just said that was the feeling I got from your posts and what they were trying to accomplish. It's not like I'm some naive, "America is perfect", misinformed, shoot from the hip, don't know what I'm talking about idiot. I haven't jumped to conclusions, or been sold what's published in the media. You basically end your posts with if you want to find out more then do the research...and I'm telling you I have. I've already openly admitted my perspective - The United States (the government and public/private sector) was negligent in allowing the terrorists to ever launch this premeditated and coordinated attack. We had enough resources and intelligence that something could've and should've been done to stop it, but we dropped the ball and our fellow citizens paid the price. However, the United States (the government and public/private sector) was not involved with the actual attack or any coverup conspiracy. That's my belief. I'm not asking you to share it, just letting you know where I stand. Where do you stand? What does this mean? Is everything going on in Israel being masterminded by a secret organization? More of that "state sponsored terrorism"? If so, does it have anything to do with the United States? Or is this about Israel being repeatedly attacked and finally throwing down the gauntlet and standing up for the protection of its citizens. I think what we're having is a debate...I don't think any flaming has gone on...I'm sure if it has we would've both been informed already. Flaming isn't my style and I don't think it's necessary.

I've read your posts and looked at the Loose Change documentary and it is simply amazing to me. I could pick apart each of the points made in this purely speculative documentary...but the fact is you're gonna believe what you wanna believe... I guess the thing that bothers me most about all of your posts is your very persausive with the whole "review all the information with an unbiased approach and then formulate your opinion" which clearly, by reviewing all your posts, are kind of hypocritical. For example...you provide a wealth of information yet when someone counters with the PM article you immediately dismiss it as "just as troubling" without even considering any of the information in this article. Compare the PM article with the Loose Change documentary and you'll see some facts that I find quite disturbing. PM goes to great lengths to list their sources, their experts and references, many of which were actually involved with the investigation (probably makes them co-conspirators). Loose Change has some shady references and poor citations, many of which have been disproven. Think I'm making it up...read the citation for the hijackers that are still alive...then go to wikipedia and search on it...ironically the source for this absurd reporting is also the source for discrediting this report... Your biggest hang up seems to be the building 7...for which the government has simply said it doesn't know why the building fell. If the government was actually involved, wouldn't the investigation also include a cover up for this building instead of a "gee I don't know what happend." It is so easy to pick and choose fragments of the facts that support a particular point of view... Like if I just posted this, "New York Fire Department personnel on the scene described the damage inflicted to the south face of WTC 7. Several statements were given by firefighters and other first responders emphasizing the critical condition of Building Seven." and failed to mention this, "I remember getting a call from the Fire Department commander, telling me they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'You know, we've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is just pull it.' And they made that decision to pull and then we watched the building collapse." (Pull it being a term to describe controlled demolition) (conversation by Larry Silverstein, the lease holder for Building Seven and insurance policy holder for the WTC Complex) If that is the case...then that isn't a government conspiracy but insurance fraud. Just out of curosity...the terrorists that we identified and captured that were involved with the first bombing of the WTC...how do they play into this whole conspiracy theory.

    9/11

So...just so I understand...in your opinion...the 9/11 Commission Report is created by the same people connected to the conspiracy...and so you don't put any validity into it. In other words...the 10 member panel and dozens of staff members were all involved with the cover up and generating a completely bogus report? What a pity...because if anything...the Commission Report spotlights the numerous failures by the United States intelligence agencies. If anything it shows that the United States was not involved but undoubtedly negligent in the attack. If you believe it, that is. Sound advice...for sure...and I have and will continue to do so. But that works both ways. You're suggesting for me to check out more and more information yet you automatically dismiss the entire investigation report...seems a bit hypocritical... I heard on my local talk radio channel about a week ago...a college professor who believed in many of the things you seem to support asking where the plane debris from the Pentagon attack was. I guess all the pictures that are out there were photoshop'd and a majority of the eye witness accounts were actors to make the cover up more credible. It sounds as if your conspiracy theory is much more widespread then this one particular incident...it sounds to me like the scenario from 24 (TV Show) where the world is controlled by a bunch of wealthy individuals and the world leaders are just puppets. Just out of curiosity...why would the United States, or even any of our own allies...want to have carried out 9/11...what is the motive, gain, result? I've read many thoughts on this, just interested in yours.
  24. Xian Saint

    9/11

Calius, I did indeed...but not with my original reply as it would've likely gotten me banned...an amazing feat since I've known Rocky for so many years now. I'm not quite sure if that was telling me that I need to find out more about history or if people in general need to...I've taken several history classes...and I've done my fair share of research on the subject...I'm in no way suggesting that the United States has a perfect track record of never participating in shome shady activities. What I can't understand is the amount of violence that continues around the world that the terrorists openly take credit for (including 9/11) yet the government is still blamed for being a part of some conspiracy theory. Independent investigations often produce some or all of the facts yet this information is often discounted and labelled "the coverup". The Oklahoma Bombing, for example is a perfect example...same deal...many conspiracy theorists said the government was involved with that too...that there were additional bombs inside the building...even though Timothy McVeigh (an anti-government domestic terrorist) admitted that he was responsible for the single truck bomb attack. If the United States was involved in any capacity with 9/11 someone would've leaked the information, much like they are with all this other classified data that seems to be released periodically. There is no way the government could mount a coverup of this magnitude...maybe Roswell and the Moon landing, but not this. Just out of curiosity...have you read the 9/11 Commission Report? Do you believe any of it...or is it part of the conspiracy...and what "unanswered" mysteries make you question whether the government was somehow involved in 9/11...just so I can understand where you're coming from. (You've made several posts in here - I'm not quite sure what your stance is/was).

    9/11

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just too emotional about this topic to even begin trying to develop a response. Perhaps it's because I know people who were actually at the Pentagon, some of which knew people...good people...who are no longer with us. Perhaps it's because 19 terrorists/hijackers forever changed our country on that day, yet so many Americans, dare I call them that, join in the speculation and accussations against our own country. Should one suppose that the long list of attacks around the world are carried out by the U.S. as well, or perhaps by the government of that country. Let's deny all the intelligence that has been collectively gathered that indicates otherwise. Let's deny the fact that as I type this, Israel stands their ground against Hezbollah as they burn the U.S. flag in the streets, just because we are their ally. Let's ignore that terrorists record the torturing and beheading of our soldiers and use this as a recruiting tool. Let's ignore the Indian Railway attacks that have left 200 dead. Let's forget about the terror cells that have been uncovered that targetted places like Chicago or (as posted TODAY) New York. Let's discount all of this information, because it's probably all being choreographed by the U.S. of A anyway, right!?! Sheesh. Recipe for a conspiracy theory as posted by someone in here: osama bin laden has been on the wanted list since the USS COLE bombing, which is a strange event on it self (how did a dingy full explosives get to the uss cole unnoticed ?) I don't know...perhaps because every day this small boat pulled alongside to remove trash from the ship and one day the terrorists planted explosives on it before they came alongside. Is it really that hard to figure out.
