  1. I'm in standby mode, after GRAW 1 and the lack of support for the MP community I see no reason to drop another 50 bucks. No one on my team has picked the game up.

Sad to say this, but you appear to be in the majority of the MP crowd. At best there are about 100-150 players online Fri/ Sat nights. BDA has a great server as does Core and a few others but that's it.

Far from the days of RVS *sigh*. I recall that GR (original) took some time to take off. I hope the same happens here as I do think the MP action is strong, great weapon recoil, great sound, great maps, etc...(I could do w/out the class element for weapons-but that is a small gripe)

This game has great potential to be a strong laddering game. But after Letdown, GR2 (that never came) GRAW 1 and the XBOX pc version of Vegas the damage has clearly been done t o the brand. And that is a shame b/c GRAW 2 (MP) is a return to the roots of a once great franchise.

  2. I hope it comes soon. If the game is delayed again I'm gonna have to cancel my pre-order. Just not gonna have time to play it. Instead I'll pick it up after a month or two. should be a lil' bit cheaper then as well. and hopefully MP is still alive

Where did you Pre-order from? I am going to do so, in hopes of getting the game a few days early. Where do you recommend pre-ordering from?

    thanks,

    R_45

  3. Grin keeps saying it would add too many animations to put in the gimp or hit penalty, but I just can't understand that. Its in other games, its in older games, why not GRAW 2.

...and if new animations would take too much time to implement, then use something thats already in the game. There are already animations of soldiers dying, use all or part of that. Just have the ghost get back up after.

Or keep it real simple, and have the gun drop to your side like what happens when you run. It would take you time to recover your aim after this and be a good penalty for taking a survivable hit.

Is it really as hard as there making it sound to put in? :hmm:

The gun dropping is a great idea. It would represent the impact of RL using the current code...

    Good thinking!

  4. Im with you on that one Tripple as well. I hate being on a recon team, where the last few guys think that killing more of the enemy is the objective of the game... It's sad sometimes to see that.

But Ducky, you're such a good player and a great sniper that taking you down is well worth the wait, to see it or do it!!!

    Semper Fi,

    Romulus

  5. I like the various game types myself and I am sure my clan will play just about any game type as well. I like RvA alot and think it is meant to be used as a Laddering game mode. Siege, to me is more about just having fun where as HamHill I see as being converted to a laddering game mode as well.

Stout, I agree, the RvA is well done and it seems to be geared at laddering...a little over two weeks and it's here!!!

Do you play under your name "Irish Stout" on line as well.

    Semper Fi,

    R_45

  6. The laddering is going to be fanfukntastic! My old clan, the Llamas [86] Bohica have been slow to regroup...pitty.

Regardless, do you guys think that (1) TWL (and the like) etc., will allow for rules that bring modes like Seige and HamHill and RvA (which to my suprise, I like) in to the fray and (2) do Clans have an interest in playing these game types, or will it be more based in TDM one shot one Kill and or variations thereof (i.e. 2-3 spawns)?

    Semper Fi,

  7. ONE SHOT ONE KILL ? needs fixin'

I understand that our 'ghosts' have the best armour, aka Dragon Skin. But I have seen a great deal of players take full blasts from the SAW and their progress is not even slowed! RVS did this well for those who remember; you got hit, you knew it, and so did the other guy...

If you're gonna keep the kill zones as they are, and require at least 5 rounds to take someone down, then please, at least introduce some type of graphics that slows/alters the player's progess when they are hit.

Even if, for argument's sake, the armor was good enough to stop the rounds it does presently, the person taking the hits would not be able to continue in their direction unaltered.

    Please fix.

Gotta say, really looking forward to the release, the RvA is a blast and it's done well. The sound is great, the recoil is spot on, just fix the hits and it's f'n great! (oh and more eye relief on the MP-5, to allow for better target view, as in RL)

  8. First, the Demo is very well done. From an MP only player, it is a 180 degree turn from GRAW 1. Nicely done Bo and company.

I do not like the restrictions in RvA for the classes( at least give each class two options per class to start) but I do like the objective element, very nice...that said, I am wondering if there is info regarding Siege and Hamhill. I think I recall a Grinner saying that one of those modes would not have weapons restricted?

Again, well done on the DEMO.

    Semper Fi,

    Romulus

  9. The weapons at the 2-3 star level are fantastic! Why, oh why do you we not have the option to pick and choose our rifles in the MP (outside of choosing a different class all together) ?

    Just to be sure...

Romulus, when you enter the TDM load page, you can see three classes of soldiers, at the bottom of each is a number 1 with bars on the left and the right. Click on those bars and it changes which weapon you want for each class. I think theres about 16 kits in each??

In RvS you have to work your way up through levels to get different guns and kits.

Yeah, but not in RvS...which I think is a very strong mode!!! I love the game play and look forward to plenty of laddering!!!

  10. I too feel that the restrictions are a weak feature.

A few days ago, I was able to play as a "2 star" in RvA, and I must say, the weapons at this level were much more favorable.

The supporters of restrictions (i.e. GRIN) have claimed that rectricting kits results in more team work. However, they included ZERO tools regarding voice coms...

I understand that 3rd party tools are at the ready, but few people use these for pickup games.

Overall, the Demo is great and I'm certain that the full version will be as good (for MP play, SP is for pu55ies ...JK to each their own) , once they unlock the weapon selection for MP!!!

  11. The weapons at the 2-3 star level are fantastic! Why, oh why do you we not have the option to pick and choose our rifles in the MP (outside of choosing a different class all together) ?

I understand the idea of classes. I understand limiting frags / 40mm, but man, let us at least have some options within the class in a PATCH...

I hope that Seige and HamHill will present more options. :D

That said, it is a great DEMO and I very much enjoy the objective aspect. It is well done. The action is must faster then TDM. You truly recovered GRIN from your GRAW 1 MP. Nice 180. Congrats!

    Semper Fi
