I agree 100%, I just got the impression that there might be a "mid speed" jog/trot. Something that was missing in GR. Just misunderstood the information. That is all. ← There should be a middle speed, crouch "run" (not walk), but I have no idea if you can shoot during that one.

Yeah I always miss the max inventory days as well. I wish they would announce them or something because it sucks to see a price drop a day or two later. Makes me want to RMA the card and re-buy it at the lower pricepoint.

WOW!! Good info there. I'm going to hold off till next month on an update. It will give me time to see how different systems are handling GR:AW PC, allow new vid cards to hit the market, and allow price drops on current cards... ← Wise decision. However don´t expect huge price drops on current cards (6-series for instance), especially if you are looking for an AGP card. The way the manufacturers "seem" to treat the AGP market is that that they bascially stop producing certain cards at a time and just let their inventory sell out, which doesn´t lower the prices of the older cards. You might be able to buy the newer card at a similar or even lower pricepoint than the older (but slower card).

Rocky, can you copy and paste the list, the link doesn´t work. Nevermind, I think I found it. Tron 2.0, Splinter Cell, and XIII are the best games in that list. DeusEx 2 is "okay", and Colin McRae is kind of sucky and it has Starforce, so its better to stay away from it. Didn´t play Hitman:Contracts.

I played FEAR with a similar system maxed out (except volumetric lights at med, and softshadows off) at 1280x960 with 8AF. I guess I have higher tolerance for lower FPS or you had bad drivers or had too much junk installed which slowed down your system. The 6-series cards are still good cards and will play this game twice as fast as ATIs 9-series cards, since they are obviously a generation apart.

I assume say the standard Ghost armor is used in MP, not that you can select extra or specific armor. I do remember that Bo once said that helmets are modeled and work similar like in RL. If you shoot a guy in the face, he is dead on the spot but if you shoot them at a distance on the rear side of the helmet, the bullet might riccochet off and not kill him. This might not happen with the .50 cal sniper rifle though.

Yep and he lost his virtual life every time - seems like GRIN's AI is really tough even on the lowest setting! ← If you play run-n-gun for sure. I´m glad that even on the lowest difficulty you can still clearly see GRINs approach on this game: A hardcore tactical shooter where you can and will die each second if you are not careful and use your team correctly.

Awesome! Did you manage to record all GRAW takes? I just installed a few programs and wanted to record the repeat in half an hour, but if you have it all already, then I won´t have to do it. Don´t worry about any fancy fades.

Albatron made an AGP - PCIe adapter card that only worked with their Nvidia 6 series cards. Asrock made a motherboard which had both an AGP slot and a PCIe slot. Both ATI and Nvidia have so called "bridge" chips, which they could use to port each native PCIe GPU back to AGP. This is does not happen very often because AGP is basically dead and outdated, especially when it comes to the high-end cards. The bridge chip also increases the prices of the AGP versions. Almost all 7800GS are AGP cards, and I tried to look for a PCIe version, but only a found a 6800GS, 7300GS, 7600GS on PCIe. Of course this doesn´t mean that one manufacturer actually made a 7800GS on PCIe, just that I didn´t find one.

3dmark is sort of AMD bias, so if you had used a matching AMD you could add around 1000 points to your score. Don´t worry too much about 3dmark. Some people take it way too seriously, but in the end its a pretty pathetic synthetic benchmark. The only benchmarks that really matter are game benchmarks.

Outlines and diamonds are 360, toggable SP diamonds are for PC and MP PC has NO diamonds what so ever.

1GB is recommended but I actually think 2GB will be a huge improvement if you have a video card that can handle the highest settings. Obviously if you have an older card that won´t run with the highest settings (mainly texture detail settings), then you won´t need more than 1GB anyway.

What 3dmark is it, 05 or 06? 05 record is over 20.000 and 06 should be around 15000. ← that's really sad then because i need to be getting better scores than what i'm getting. i need one of those dial a geeks to come over and tune this machine ← Well, the guys who manage scores that I posted usually run 2 supercooled (with LN2) cards which are clocked around 1ghz vid clock and 2ghz memory clock. They also supercool the CPUs and clock them around 4-5ghz (AMD). ← so are you saying i've got a decent score? (3dm05 btw) ← You have a 1900XT and what CPU you again? The score seems pretty normal, make sure AF and AA are set to "application-controlled" and put the performance slider to "high performance" instead of "high quality". Most people who run benchmarks make that.

So now that its gold, will the European version be a multi-language version and include both text and voices in EN, DE, FR, SP? I hate localized versions and prefer English text and voices, even if it means that I have to import the English version.
