  1. I'm getting a crash on the first mission everytime my team reaches the city hall.

Edit: After restarting the mission it has stopped crashing, but I'm getting a few others. Is there a patch available I'm unaware of?

    Here's the error report:

  2. Has anyone tried or is currently trying to work on the particle effects to make them a bit more satisfying?

I've played Ghost Recon since release, and I believe that this is one of the games only, albeit small, flaws IMHO. Everything else has been improved upon.

But this is most likely wishful thinking since GR has been modded for years and surely someone would have done it by now if it was possible.

    Thoughts?

  3. Brettzies, well I just installed the new mod and am having an issue with the new M1014 shotgun. The M240 works fine.

I get this error when I draw the weapon, selection is fine.

I am using Magpul Masada also and am having no problems with it. If you think that is the cause of the problem I can probably live without the shotgun.

Thanks in advance for help.

  4. Does it show up with the normal graw helmets?

Some people have had this issue with various fixes available. If you are on vista, there maybe some .xmbs that are overriding or conflicting. See the first post for Wolfsong's solution. On xp, they could still be around, but who knows where they are.

Try deletling the English folder if you have one. Has helped some people.

Another option: Unbundling the whole thing into the local/bp_weapons_pack_v1.4 directory should solve everything (theoretically). Just be sure to turn off the mod bundle in the context.xml.

Unbundling the whole file into the local folder made everything work properly.

Everything looks GREAT! Thanks again for the awesome mod Brettzies.

  5. First of all, I just wanted to say that your mod rocks.

I actually reinstalled GRAW 2 just to try it out.

    So now onto the problem...

The weapons are working fine but I'm having some issues with the new look Ghosts. The multicam seems to be working fine (and looks great) although the NVG, boonie hats, ect don't seem to be working. I think I read somewhere that if you unbundle the .bundle file in the mods folder into the data folder it would work correctly? I'm not sure about this.

    Thanks in advance. :D

  6. And shaBAM, you got me man, that's a point that I don't know about. Perhaps you need to get with Brettzies and see what the issue could be. Maybe it's mod ids, that's usually an issue sometimes but then again, I doubt it as neither Snow's or Brettzies ids don't conflict with each other as well.

I'm pretty sure the ids are the problem. I actually renamed the Snowfella's addons so they wouldn't conflict with Brettzie's addons.

The thing I don't understand is why only those weapons wouldn't work, I didn't rename any of the mod ids for mods for those weapons. The only thing different about them is that they are using the ACOG, and other weapons are using it and they work fine.

Anyways, I'm going to doing the xml changes again and see if I can get everything functioning, thanks for the help.

And again thanks for the great weapon mod Snowfella.

  7. I think there's actually a limit on "selectable" items. Since I've still yet to figure out most (I'm way to busy, which is why my mod has kinda fallen by the wayside, school plus real life has caught up to me for once) of the newer XMLs (GRAW1 was far easier, less to add but a challenge to cross sometime...) that are required. Maybe removing one or two (I have some personal suggestions but that's neither here nor there) of either Snow's or Brettzie's mods may allocate "room" for you.

I tried removing some 3rd party mods from a few weapons as well as removing one of the Masada Carbines.

I still couldn't select mods for the SCAR's and M416. :wall:

  8. I'm trying to run the game on a Sony Vaio. My game is updated to 1.4 and I've tried reinstalling twice already. The game installs fine, but when I try running the game it crashes before the game opens and I don't get any sort of prompt about the crash or anything, it just sorta stops working. I only have the Desert Storm expansion, but right now it isn't installed. When it is installed it's the same story.

Thanks in advanced for any suggestions.

  9. Before I talk about some of the bugs I've found, I just want to say I love this mod! It makes playing Ghost Recon so much more intense and fun.

OK, so on to the bugs. On almost all of the urban maps, there are some glaring problems that pop up very frequently that make playing the missions impossible. For example a invisible and invincible enemy would spawn in the street or inside buildings randomly and kill my squadmates. These guys can shoot my guys through buildings across the entire map and slowly kill my entire squad. Very frustrating. Then there are the enemies that spawn that are harmless and invisible, and only cause my squadmates to unload all their ammunition on walls, barrels, and the ground.

The reason why I am complaining about this so much is that when the city maps work correctly, they are by far the most fun to play. I don't know if there is a way to fix this problem and if not, oh well, I STILL LOVE THIS MOD!

  10. First off, the M4 is great. I can't wait to see more of your work! :D I was wondering if you ever planned on making a custom sound for it (or having someone else make one)?

While a big pack of custom weapons would be cool, this is the only weapon that isn't just a reskin from my knowledge, and I don't see the point in having 4 different colored SCARs that have the same model and sound the exactly the same.

Thanks for taking your time to make this M4 Snow.

  11. I was wondering if someone could make a little mod for me.

The firefights in GRAW are sometimes too short for my taste, I like them long and grueling... and giving the enemies say, as much health as my fellow Ghosts have would most likely solve my problem. I realized it would be sacrificing realism, but the extra maneuvering I would have to do I feel would make up for it. If someone could help me out I would be very greatful. (If this is even possible at this time)

    Thanks in advance. :g_guns:

  12. OK, I am playing "Mayday, Mayday" and I have destroyed two artillery peices, and now I am moving on the one inside the castle. After fighting my way to the castle there is an emplaced weapon right in front of the entrance of the castle with no way to maneuver around it. I am completely out of explosives. I would imagine even if I had grenades left I would have to move out into the open to get him because the emplaced weapon is under a roof with sandbags around it. If I try to peak around the corner and get a shot at his legs he has me dead far before I can get my sights on him.

This is nothing how Ghost Recon should be, there is zero strategy involved here, you have to be a crackshot to get him.

  13. I've been having SO much fun with GRAW up until this point. This mission is DRIVING ME CRAZY. Who's &*%#ing idea was it to put a machine gun right in front of the only damn entrance (from my knowledge) to the castle on this mission? IS there some way to FLANK this emplaced weapon? I've literally died a hundred times on this mission, and I'm getting ready to smash this game disk in the vise in my garage. Thats how frustrated I am right now. :wall::wall::wall::wall:

Could someone please give me some advice on how to go about destroying this target? I have no grenades left by the way.
