  1. Rogue Warrior actually has some promise...or it could bomb horribly. I played an alpha as part of an evaluation and there was plenty to hope for and plenty to dread. It is the dev team's to either make or break. There were not any hard locked design choices that were bad and there was plenty to innovate if they have the vision and determination.

Shocked I tell you.. Shocked, can tell that Demo Dick consulted?

  2. You might need to register to view the source the guy works for IW and posted this today (1/16) in the charlieoscardelta forums

I am here with good news for the modders! First I wanted to thank everyone for their patience in the mod tools release. The small group of people who assisted us in testing the tools have been a huge help in finding issues during beta so that we can fix them before the tools are officially released. With that said, version 1.0 of the tools is ready to be released and the 600mb download will be released to everyone by the end of this week. We'll have more info when the file is available and provide download links.
  3. EDIT: Whispers method will work good too. I guess I use different blending options to Whispers as I don't use layers as such for applying the camo (I don't set the camo onto a new layer, I paint the camo onto the current layer by hand, offsetting the camo for each pocket flap etc.)

You are far more adept than I with the artisitc part of it.. I use a sledgehammer instead of a q-tip ;)

  4. How are you applying the camo?

In Photoshop, I always used the wrinkles layer as my base, and then used camo as a secondary layer on top.. adjusting the camo layer property to Softlight, or Overlay, this allowed all(95-98%) the detail in the wrinkle layer to come through.

  5. Try adjusting the top layers property to Softlight, this will keep most of the color, and allow 98% of the sub layer detail to show through. You'll have to tweak your colors and the selection layer, but that's how I get the detail to come through. I do believe in the case of uniforms it will take you longer to get the colors bledned, but I think the method will work just the same.

    Crude Example Below

And some ingame shots after about 5 minutes worth of work..
