That is not what I said, for the immediate future, the M4/M16A4 are the Infantry Rifle for issue.. that may change sometime, but not quickly. The SCAR is for USSOC only at this time.. the article linked above, does a decent job of laying out the details

That is correct... "Delta" and other Units have moved to the 416, 75th Ranger Rgt as well I believe got some.. it's not the "issue rifle" for the Big Green though, that's still the M4..

Codemasters owns the name OFP, and are working on [OFP: DR]. BIS was the partner on OFP, and they are the ones that released ArmA, semantics as to which is really the sequel, but ArmA uses the same technology as VBS2. VBS1 uses the OFP engine on steroids, it was much more advanced in terms of how it handled scripting. As for the BFS title 'Ground Branch' is still very early into production, and a ways off, if you are looking for immediate gratification, that won't be it, but I do agree, it looks to be an answer to many of our questions.

VBS1/2 or OFP/ArmA depending on how much you want to put out up front. I have seen scenarios with all you describe for VBS1, don't quote me, but ArmA should support these as well. It might not look as pretty but the scripting function is there..not to mention that the modding community is thriving

You can do the same with the Plasma Cannon as well, and you don't need to wait for it to fall off, just mount the weapon, and hit B to remove it from it's mount

I might get flogged, but I use the Windows Firewall without any real issue, I too am behind a router, and feel pretty safe. Hardware in my mind is infinitely better security, than software. Am I wrong?
