  1. I played my first DM last night.. and won :) the 1v1 game-type.. and it wasn't bad, I can see playing against a friend like that, and understand now, how the whole TvT game, with like minded players can be tactical.

The game is what you make it, respect & enjoy it for what it is, not what it isn't

edited to ad, that last mission, the plane, is everything that the R6 747 mission was for me way back when, damn talk about a rush.. :)

  2. Full Game, for both 360 & PC out Tuesday 11/6 (Some places Monday) at least here in the states.

    I picked up both ;)

    Console Impression: :offtopic:

Never made it off the couch to install the PC version though, the SP X360 version, is just plain fun, like an amusement park shooting gallery. Hadji just keeps on coming. I am enjoying this far more than I did Halo3.

  3. In the first 5 minutes, it makes you hate a culture of people, then slowly strips away the blanket of hate, and focuses it on a specific segment. Characters were ok, not the best I've ever seen, but it was an entertaining 2 hours..

  4. One way might be to use the CC number to check and see if that card has already been used to buy an iphone. But hang on, a CC is for the singular purpose of purchasing goods and services i.e. transactions. So they couldn't use purchasing history could they? Could they? Could apple be checking your purchasing history to enforce their "only 2" rule?

CC Companies have been "sharing" information for YEARS, I'd imagine that somewhere in that Phone Book of information they publish as a "privacy policy" it lays out what they can, will and won't be able to share with whom, most likely defined as you can opt out if you are savy enough to read through the whole thing, and then contact them in writing/phone indicating that you don't want them to give out your info.

    Caveat Emptor

  5. I will emphasize the comment Rocky made on Sensible eating.. I'm down 40 pounds, since May 1st, and while exercise has played a part, most of my weight loss is due to modifying my diet, smaller portions, better food choices.

  6. Yes, there are now 3 year warranties to cover certain problems, but that doesn't cover everything.

Actually, it pretty much does. I've somehow lucked into three xboxes breaking, and they were all repaired/replaced for free.

+1, though on my original X-Box, the laser went bad, so I boxed it up shipped it off on a Fridy, and had it back working by the following Friday, no questions asked.

  7. .

My biggest argument against the X360 is the fact that they all eventually die

I don't think this is entirely true, as Everything dies and/or has a lifespan, sure there have been issues but to say that's the foundation for your argument? Yes you hear about the ones that blow up, but how many 1,000's of the ones that didn't don't you hear about? There is quite the satisfied customer base out there, now speaking from my experience of 1, I've had mine (360) for a year now, it's played darn near every day by someone in this house, if I had to guess, probably 3 hours on an average day, it's ticking along, no issues. I keep it ventilated, and haven't had issue one... as for game prices, sure they are high at first, but if you can be patient, wait a month or two, you'll find 50 copies at your local game crazy for $25 less, fully warranty, I don't remember the last time I bought a used PC game. If you go into a console purchase with that understanding, I don't think you can lose.

Now that I've said all that, comparing the two isn't fair, apples and oranges, I enjoy my 360 for what it is, and I will never give up my PC gaming.

  8. KAC won the contract to produce the M110, I belive it will in fact replace the aging SR25(Also a KAC Prodcution). It's reviews have been mixed since its introduction. The requirement called for a semi auto sniper/countersniper type weapon to improve on the current M24SWS.

As for a .308 replacing the current 5.56, don't hold your breath.

  9. The Demo Shipped with Sandbox2(\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Sandbox2 Installer) but you need to install it yourself, then you can ad items(Scopes, Grenades, Tactical Nukes) using that. You can run the entire mission in the editor(Ctrl-G), or save a copy, export to engine, then run it normally... the esc key will drop you back into sandbox if you are running the map in the editor.

  10. thing I don't understand, for a futuristic FPS, player carries a long barrel rifle (with red-dot mind you) but not accurate at 50meters.

I use my Logitech G5 highest setting, aim the red-dot at enemy's head and still miss.

At 30meters, while clocking, headshots become more accurate. Hell, the pistol is accurate at that.

Use the editor to ad the Sniper Scope, or the ACOG and these shots aren't as difficult. Or you could always ad the Tactical Nuke rifle :shifty:

  11. I'm have everything on low, but I'm okay with that..could probably go up a bit..but i dont have the energy to sit and tweak and test every possible combo

  12. Does anybody know anything more about this neon engine?

    google

Neon will be the growling powerhouse that'll drive the next generation of the series' sublimely handled, incredibly detailed vehicles and fantastic living environments. Neon has been in production for over 18 months with over 30 tech experts on the development team. It will be used to build Colin McRae: DIRT from the ground up with tech developed solely for use in next-gen formats, so gamers can expect no recycled McRae tech inDIRT.

The detail that Neon provides enables the dev team to model locations and environments as accurately as possible, giving each their own unique look and feel. Air movements are modeled using real-time physics, so everything from trees to car exhaust will be affected by the wind just like in the real world. Neon also delivers impressive impact detail. You'll see metal crumple, glass smash, and everything that you collide with in the game's environment will be destroyed in a realistic way.

Says Gavin Cheshire, Vice President of Codemasters Studios: "Neon delivers an engine that provides us with so much more scope and possibilities than an update of existing tech would have ever allowed. The most obvious result is in the visual detail and physics that produce incredible particle effects. Neon makes it possible to go into seemingly minute detail but will create the most realistic and involving environments in the racing genre."
