  1. Still working on this in IGOR and have emailed Wolfsong as well..............
  2. Well, this may not be answering your question but I thought the mod was pretty good. there is a huge readme file with the download that explains more than enough of what he did in the mod.
  3. Does this look familiar? Loading map c:\program files\red storm entertainment\ghost recon\mods\origmiss\map\m04_village\m04_village.map SimGun: Gun node BMG 1 has no camera offset helper point. SimGun: Gun node BMG 2 has no camera offset helper point. RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file truck_m35d0.anm RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file humveed0.anm .......and crash to desktop we go! This is the Swedish Forces mod, loading up the Acid Justice map. Just wondering if this is a common problem. I did download version 1.4.3 and I don't see any postings of this issue at ghostrecon.net. I also seem to CTD on some maps when checking out the command map during game play. Great mod though! Thanks
  4. I really liked the Guatamala mod and frostbite. Both were released recently. I haven't tried Swedish Forces yet, bet I'll bet it's good.
  5. OK..........I've tried to download Swedish Forces five times and hit the same problem every time. I'll get about 60% of the download done, the connection to the server will get reset and the download will stop. I am using a 56k modem. I'm out of ideas - does anybody else have this issue?
  6. Thanks for the reply guys. Everybody involved in this forum and modding really make this a great place. Ghost recon.net and everyone who has been making mods has got to be a big reason why Red Storm Entertainment is working on Ghost Recon 2. I'd like to thank all the Ghost Recon fans out there for simply being fans. Your the ones that make these games possible.
  7. Ok, was just talking to someone about a mod made awile ago. It involved defending the embassy (surrounded by a mob) and then a chopper comes and picks up some hostages from the roof top. Then I remembered seeing a picture of the day with a chopper and the embassy very close to each other. I've played about every mod posted here and I can't find it. Does anybody know the name of a mod that sounds anything like this? -also, the recent Guatamala Mod is nice.....check it out.
  8. I just saw what your working on, how's this for a basic character? Blackalliance (Team Blackalliance - if a first name is needed) Demolitions SA-80 Thanks for being part of Ghostrecon.net!
  9. I know, I know, somebody tell me to give it a rest. After playing combatech's 101st Airborne and Taskforce Thresher mod, I am sad to see him (Ninja) leave the sceen. I have been looking at the crash issues for missions 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15. Some are easy to fix or just delete from the mod, but I can't figure everything out myself . Is there somebody that was impressed with the other missions (that worked) that might be interested in trying to fix the missions that do not work? I encourage everybody to download this mod, unlock all the missions, and check out what this guy did before he had to go. Taskforce Thresher Project (armored core 5) I think Rocky has it listed in "Ghost Recon News" not the "Downloads" page.
  10. Open up your RSE folder and get to the mod folder. Open it and look for the mod you want to have missions unlocked in. Using notepad open the file that has all the map or mission names in it. I'm sorry, I'm at work right now and I started writing this at a bad time.....ummmm.......crap. Write the names down exactly how they appear in that screen (note pad). Exit out of that screen and go back to RSE file folder titled "unlocked missions" and open it with notepad. The unlocked missions folder does not look like a folder, but open it anyways - with notepad. Look for the missions that are already unlocked and add in your unlocked missions right there. quick example: (tab) \mission\r06_puff _the_magic_d.mission\andsoforth (tab) \mission\r07_black_widow.mis\blablabla (tab) enter your mission here I apolagize for the cryptic egyptian way I try to explain things, so I hope this makes sense. I need to get back to work!!!!
  11. I've noticed that there hasn't been too much discussion about this mod. Just so everyone knows, I believe Ninja broke some new ground with this mod. I don't recall being able to shoot from helicopters while in transit to the drop site during any mission I've played before (Mission 7). There are some really cool things in this mod, I'll leave it up to you guys to go get it and spread the word. Not all the missions work, unfortunately. Here are the ones I was able to play: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7-kinda, 8,9, and I hear 13 works - but I didn't try it yet. If somebody is good at modding, make a patch for this!! (Maybe somebody from the FL-AVA or =DRAG= team? Taskforce Thresher Project - Fileplanet (you have to dig around for it) I'll e-mail Rocky to see if we can get the link in this sites download page.....
  12. Operator, if your interested, I've done some other simple things that are intersting. Some stuff by accident, turns out really cool (as far as soldier camo and colors go) throw something in my message box or e-mail me if your interested. I'd like to make a small 5-mission mod to see if it's worth making a larger campaign. If Ghost Recon 2 is coming, I may wait for that first. Happy huntung
  13. Hmmm.......how did I make that work?...........Iit's been awhile and I don't recall complications. Ok, yeah, I kinda do what people tell me not to do. I do not suggest this, but I'll briefly go over it. Take the original file, with all original soldiers in it and move it or rename it - just remember where it is or what you named it. Take "your" file and put it there or, I believe, you can leave it in your mod folder and only your guys will show up during the planning screen. You got me thinking about how I was doing things weeks ago when I didn't really have a clue to what I was doing. I really don't feel like changing things around in my Ghost Recon files and it's mostly because I have forgotten excactly what I have changed and how I did it. I must have 50 pages of my own notes from the beggining, but there's quite a few pages of "chicken scratch" that takes me a minute to figure out what I did. I would go Jack 57's route as it looks simpler. In fact...........wow.......I've been wasting some time doing things the long way, but I guess thats how you learn sometimes. I just read Jack 57's post below and I believe he is totally right. I had some crashing problems. At one point I thought my video card was going bad so I actuall went out and got a better card, which was nice. Yes, have teid my own shoes around my neck and tried to run the mile in under 5 minutes with the Ghost Recon engine. I'm still learning and enjoy it......I think.
  14. Well, it seems like cheating but, if you bump down to veteran difficulty ........(Here's what I did) This is a playback of me finishing mission 9: Alpha team - one man with a M4 SOCOM and sensors - I really didn't use anyone else important. Starting at the northern insertion zone - Go east to the outer edge of the map and follow the outer edge of map south. Quickly, three shots, three kills to the group of enemies near the railroad track area. I made sure they didn't have time to hide or make any noise, other than the thump when they fell to the ground with the extra hole in the head. When I got to the Building with the plans and the terrorist leader obviously I scanned the area. I shot only a few guys behind the building that were far enough away that they did not trigger any alarms or what not. Sneak up to the back of the house, right side stairway. Shoot the guy that is probably looking right at you and make a mad dash to the porch shooting only the enemies that are running right towards you - don't turn around and doodle with everyone. When you get to the porch and start to turn left towards the front door, shoot only the two guys that are in your way on the porch - Keep running and don't change your clips or stop for a beer. After you run over the dead, get through that door and cap that leader, screw the objective. Quickly get around the open door and kill the gaurd. Stay away from the windows and go to the left side of the fireplace. Crouch in that corner and listen.......change clips and drop a sensor if no one is close. Check the map and let them come to you. The building will explode but you will not get hurt if your in that corner. After everything calms down a bit, slowly make your way to the door and get that sniper up on the rock face opening to your right and then to your left. Pop those stupid truck tires to get rid of the engine noise and nearly everyone around the house area will be dead. The rest is pretty easy. It might be possible to push the terrorist leader (if you are indeed getting him to surrender) over to the fireplace before the explosion happens, but I doubt it. That was your question, right?
  15. If Navy Seals has new or different weapons than the realism mod, the new weapons won't be affected by the realism mod. I've tried this with another mod, can't remember which one but, it was kinda funky. I do like Alfa-fsb's mod though.
