  1. That comedian has nothing to do with real Kazakstan.
  2. Guys, considering BattleLAN.. What ports should be allowed on routers (for both server and clients)? Should the program be runned only by server or by both server and clients?
  3. FWF.Osteo, Thanks for that prog! I'm gonna check it out today!
  4. COMPARISON Almaty: Astana: Aral sea: KAZAKSTAN Republic of Kazakstan is a country that stretches over a vast expanse of northern and central Eurasia. 5. Dear Pave Low, thanks for the link. I don't have a problem connecting to GameSpy like this: http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/23/gamespygraw7pk.jpg My problem is not seeing me buddies' games in server list, and neither they see mine. I can find other random servers though. What do you think might be the problem? We played Rome: TW (which also uses GameSpy), and I had to open up three ports for that. Should I open all the ports posted by Ben in that thread? I couldn't find readme.txt file for the final version. My Support folder only has RegistrationReminder.exe Thanks in
  6. Hi, everyone! Me and my friends try to play multiplayer on GRAW, but we don't see our games in the server list on that GameSpy! please tell me... Is there a direct IP connection (without GameSpy) ? Maybe the problem is in the router. What is the router port forwarding for GRAW? Thanks in advance!
  7. Found this great website: PortForward.com PortForward.com is proud to offer help setting up port forwarding on your router or firewall. Many Internet users are not aware of how to configure their router or firewall in order to use applications like Peer-to-Peer file sharing (PtoP), Internet Games, Web serving, FTP serving, WebCams, IRC DDC, and Instant Messaging such as AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and MS Messenger.
  8. Rise of Nations support says, "requires that the 34987/UDP DirectPlay port be open to play Direct Internet multiplayer game" What do I put in place of 2346-2348 of GR ?
  9. Can you please recommend some good small maps for GR?
  10. Hello again! Merry Christmas! I have one little question. The problem is with IP-hosting again. Do I need to make new forwarding adjustments for every game that I want to play online? I have 'Half-Life', 'Rise of Nations' and 'Rome: TW'. Where can I get Ext.Port for these games? (like 2346-2348 for GR)
  11. CompUSA -- Ghost Recon Gold Edition $19.99 Available for In-Store Pick-Up
  12. Thnx, Dannik Man, this whole router thing seems to be so hopeless!! Why the hell did we get those Linksys?
  13. In the password I type "admin". So I get to the Setup and I am able to make changes there. Should there be anything else than "admin" ???
  14. Hey, WhiteKnight! In GreyHaired's instructions, it was ports 2346-2348 TCP and UDP. In your screenshots, it's 2346-2458. Which one is right??
  15. My friend has a model # WRT54GSV4 I also want him to configure his router, because he is also the admin at the desktop (he has the same connection scheme as I do), while I don't have administration rights at the desktop.
  16. He got: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for XXXXXX: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)
  17. Sorry, this is the right scheme: Internet => Modem => Router => Desktop _____________________|| _____________________===> My Laptop
  18. Internet => Modem => Router => Desktop _____________________|| _____________________===> My Laptop
  19. Of course! No, my laptop is NOT the host PC. There's a desktop which is connected to the router. I only receive wireless signal. Should I do the setup ON the host PC ? OK. But what do you mean by 'command prompt'? Is it a GR multiplayer chat or a game console (~) ?
  20. I guess I did, according to GreyHaired's instructions. I am not sure about this one: http://home1.inet.tele.dk/sofus/rob/6_Linksys_Forward.htm I did not include "Teamspeak". And I am not sure if "Ghost" and "Game" would work. What does it mean - "Ghost" and "Game"? My game has an access to the internet. I can join other games, but cannot host. All of my friends have routers
  21. GreyHaired, I tried your instructions, but it didn't work! Both my external (www.whatismyip.com) and internal (cmd-> ipconfig) IPs aren't recognized by my friends who try to join my game. The worst thing is that my friends had this Linksys routers long ago, and I was the only one who could host the game! Can you do this changes (that you mntion on your site) from your laptop OR do you have to go to the actual computer with the Linksys router? Please help, guys!
  22. Hi! I have the same problem! Before I was able to host a GR games. But since I got myself a laptop and a router, I no longer can do this. The same problem with IPs!!! I will try your instructions.
