Good report so far - looking forward to the rest. Nice to know about the glitching - coming from Delta force 1&2 (which I played OL for about 3 years) and Rogue Spear (about a year) I know all about glitching (and cheating). However, as the report highlights, if you don't know the glitches it makes it hard to not find yourself doin it (except obviously the looking through walls one). So good to know about the bunker one. It's good to see that they seem to be the only 2 glitches in the game. In theory it should be that the defenders have the advantage as long as they have had time to

Sorry I can't remember what mission this is - is this the very first mission for GR (and not the expansion packs)? I've played almost every mission (I've still got 3 to do on Island thunder expansion pack) but I can't for the life of me remember this one! Is this a GR mission??

SLINK - It means that it'll make your body line up to the way you are pointing. You can only look 90 degrees L and R from where u r lying. U should line your soldier up so he can cover the best fire arcs possible and not be stuck having to move into position. Try lying down and looking as far left and as far right as you can - you will see you can only look so far before having to crawl to allow you to look further each side. G-man - hitting f2 makes the comp take control - hitting f1 after this gives you the 3rd person view. I think u have to hit f2 first off though. hope this helps

Initially I'd say the top 1 is the one I prefer but only as it blends in better. I'd have to see both camo's out in the street and modelled by Jenna Jameson first though

Hi and welcome to the forum!! You've done the right thing by comming here 1st and asking questions. Yeah it is a bit daunting when you're new to online gaming (i'm assuming here that GR is your 1st online experience?) but the best way to learn is to jump in at the deepend. Follow the guys who do well and see how they play. For a friendly, none-daunting server why not come to GR.net's own dedicated server. I started playing on Ubi but found it too crap so I started playing on GR's server and have been most nights. You'll have to manually put in there IP addy in the multiplayer option

Personally I find the game buggy (for SP and a little for MP) and it seems ubi just rushed it to get it out on the shelves. My thoughts on this I've already discussed in another topic. What makes this a great game for me though is the third party kit that comes with it. I only bought the game a little under 2 weeks ago and the first thing I did was play all the missions SP. When I started to check out the forums and other dedicated sites I was gobsmacked by all the mods that were out there. It was actually a little off-putting though now I believe I've got it pretty much sussed. So Big t

I played RS for the last 9 months cheater free. Why - because I was part of an excellent clan. Non clan members where people we played with that we had built up a friendship with. No one cheated - we would not have tolerated it. Find like minded players - join a good clan and your gaming days will never be the same again

correct! theres a key to select next and previous soldiers so u can cycle through them. Check it under options.

Just to add to this I've just been playing mission 3 in IT. I was switching between my guys and then I find one of them standing up, his x-hairs aimed at the head of a tango and the tango was aiming back at him... Yet nobody shot. Until I took control that is. After I killed him I used the bins to get the range - 30.66M with no cover in between. Then my entire Charlie and Bravo section ended up getting wasted because they'd take cover behind a tree but on the wrong side or something equally as stupid. I've tried running the scenario 5 times from my save point, different tactics for eac

Hi, There are ten editable messages that you can assign in GR. When you press the corresponding key they show up instantly on the screen. These can be either team messages or broad. There are obvious advantages to using these in MP games as it saves you from having to take your fingers off the mouse and your eyes off the keyboard and gives you team mates quick messages. But what do you put in them? I've come up with a few but would like some suggestions on what you use if any? 1-Report status 2-Roger that 3-move out 4-hold up 5-got your back 6-check map - enemy spotted 7-watc

Have u tried out the GR.net server yet?

"with special events etc organised for "special" people. " Awww how sweet Oh one thing I do remember is on one of the maps we seemed to spawn halfway in the ground and were stuck. We blew ourselves up but it didn't help when we respawned. I think it was the red square map but I can't be certain. I'll try and find it when I'm on tonight and get back to you. Jex. -
Hi, My damn work proxy won't let me into gamespy because it's a restricted site. Normally I'd tweak a few settings in IE but it's not working and not looking likely too. Is there anywhere else that anyone knows of that I can d/l it from? Thanks, Jex.

Some excellent ideas here. Maybe the mods can put an email together with the ideas here and send it to RSE? Please? lol I installed IT last night and played the 1st 2 missions and made a discovery in the use of your men. Only when you issue the halt command will they seek cover though this can be clumsy if you have a firfight going on and you need to issue orders quickly to your squad. Hotkeys would have made much more sense. Maybe this is made more apparent in IT because the map i was playing on has a lot of trees for them to hide behind (and I was making sure they always kept in the tr

Hi, Wicked server - well done guys No lag too which is always a good thing. I was on Last night (probably afternoon/early evening if ur in the states), My 1st ever visit, and what a blast it was. It started off as was said earlier with 5min mission time - so everyone was legging it around trying to get some kills b4 the time expired lol. Then someone came along (sry - can't remember who it was) and changed the game (and the time) to Interogation. What an excellent idea! The mission is two fold. First find the warlord/commander and interrogate him to find out where u have -
yeah and from the guys who made rogue spear u'd think they'd make the tango's a bit more realistic. It is annoying to me that sort of bad programming because I like my games to be as realistic as possible. But it's still a damn good game

dont forget u need patch v1.3 b4 u can install 1.4!!

doh#! LOL yeah it seems obvious now you said it - 2 mods for weapons aren't really gonna go are they. It's not my fault - I bought GR a week ago with the DS pack. I played them SP 1st before going onto MP. I been playing MP GR for 4 days and last night was up till 4:30am. I got up at 7:30am and am now at work - suffering - so my thinking cap ain't on (in fact it's back home still kipping!) J.

thanks, don't suppose there's a list for compatible mods is there?

DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!!! I HIT THE DAMN POST BUTTON!!! Ok from where I left off... HOLD UP - The rest of the members of your firesquad stop until u give the order to move up. This allows the selected member to move up and check things out whilst the other two sit back and cvr u. ON ME - moves your guys up to you in the formation you have currently chosen. FORMATIONS. Lets have some different formations as well INLINE VEE and WEDGE. Just a few additions imo would have made so much more difference and turned a great game into a classic. I don't wanna slate GR as i

Did/does anyone else find GR lacking in it's ability to issue orders? If a GR2 is planned maybe we can all add something here and then send out an email to ubi/red storm of our wants and wishes. One of my main gripes about GR is that my guys just either won't stay put or won't move up. If I want to crawl up to a position with a fireteam of 3 for instance, I find my guys a couple of meters back - as they should be for a wedge formation. But if I want all 3 to be level (or inline) with my section leader, I have to switch to each guy in turn and make them crawl up (which then in most cases

I've used 2 support guys with 1 rifleman (in the mission where u have to blow up the advancing tanks and save the UN guys). I'd put this group about 30M forward of the UN guys and make them prone. That way I have the leader of this group as the rifleman who has better accuracy and then he has the 2 support guys chuckin down fire (plus the fixed gun from the UN lot) - lol no moter is gettin through that. 1 thing which does hack me off though is that a few times i'd find one of the support guys had legged it way back and was hiding behind a tree! Is there a way to make them stay where

LOL exactly what I was gonna point out. Maybe we could para-drop the special glasses into the enemy and ask em if they'll put em on whilst we attack em - tell em Elton John wears em or something...

Hi, I've noticed in the firefight games that the tango's are always in the same place. In Rogue Spear they were always placed randomly but it seems in GR that they're not. The great thing about RS was that with randomly placed tango's you had to always be on your toes as you were never quite sure if there was a tango around the next corner (though the minute you just charged round one there was always one there lol). This also goes a long way to keeping the game alive. It's a bit boring playing a firefight when you know where the tango's are hiding - has a mod been made to rectify thi
