Yeah i doubt a wheel can be detatched from its Axle by being shot a few times. Or a car door wil fly off.
That my friend is exactly the 'touch' that the console crowd like. It's one of the characteristics that seperate and define PC games and PC players. Not just a system difference, it's an aesthetic and game philosophy difference.
I hope that's not in the pc game.
yes this is something that GR1 had in it that made it nice, was that when you shot at a car it would simply just leave a bullet hole there and be done with it, I feel that would be only right to leave that and not have a door or wheel pop off and such, that to me is just not realistic and nesessary. To me that would simply be dumbing down this GR that we like. What i have seen from xbox360 videos have been some really improved explosions with fire and such that are really bitchen, that is so cool to see, and would not mind blowing something up legitamently.

After playing the 360 version of GR:AW last night, I hope and pray that you pay SPECIAL attention to the Ghost team member AI.
Simply put, the team AI in the 360 version is downright MISERABLE! As an example of how dumb they are, on multiple occassions I witnessed one of them firing his SAW into a hillside. He obviously regarded the hillside as a major threat!
I'm sure there are many things you can "borrow" from the 360 version of the game, just don't make the Ghost AI one of them!

The AI in the PC version have been built from the ground up by the team at Grin.
I am sure the 360 version is just a glitch and can be fixed at a later date.

Anyways, RVS had the same problems and ummmm...it still does.
It's weird, all the posts pertain to the same thing and I still find my self browsing this site more than 10 times a day.
My therapist says it's normal, I asked him to explain and he said, "Cause I have the problem."....Looser!!
The 360 does not have the power of the pc......ok what if it were the opposite, what if the programmers don't have the brains to tap the actual power of each platform?
And when I say this I include PC too.

Microsoft wrote a check for them to delay everything, right up to the first video.
Why,? Caue it qwns. And the sales of the 360 would go bye bye.
Look at the xbox version..Nothing but complaints and this strategy was already plotted by the big wigs. Release both games on the same name platform and make the xboxers want to buy the 360........The perfect plan!
And that is why you don't see any videos or demos for PC, because the 360 would be in the position the xbox is in.
Im just surprized at how far this game has gone in someother direction, that is on the xbox360, if you where to tell me this is a Ghost Recon title i would not expect that to be. Just by looking at some of these videos of GRAW for the xbox 360. In no way am i suggesting that these devs have done a bad job, it is just as a GR1 pc player i was expecting a nice upgrade in the direction that brought this game out to be such a realistic and challenging gritty game that this community has come to enjoy and respect. I feel that somehow this title has been taken in another direction that leaves most GR PC players just waiting in disapointment for there next sequel. Don't really want to complain or be disrespectful just stating my opinion on this upcoming game compared to GR1 pc. I probably wouldn't bother to coment on this version being that it is xbox, however it does carry the GR title.

That is what we all wanted, screens and response of Ubi/GRIN.. I am really satisfied now, if you come out every week with such good media, I can wait as long as it takes to finish the game. Go GRIN!!

i have everything minimum specs but my cpu i have 1.80 is this going to be a problem? whata think ....worriedActually, I doubt very much that you will have to overclock that CPU at all.
The GPU for something like this is going to be more important than the CPU, and on the CPU, you just aren't far enough under to even make it a worry. IF you have a decent amount of RAM and a decent Video card to go with that CPU, you're in decent shape.

I feel that if this is the case, that GRAW will somehow be a dumbed down consoleidus version of past Ghost recon 2 or any other console shooter, that just does not give justice to GR1 pc. Then i assume just be thankful that we have GR1. That game to me is that good. After 4 years of playing it, i still love to play GR. I figure if they won't go in the direction that took them here to begin with, then as far as im concerned, the only GR title be know is GR1 pc and that is it. What i can't understand is why they have not gone in the same direction for GR2 as for GR1, knowing they had to cancell GR2. They just highjacked the title is what, i suppose. It just seems that it would be really not much trouble to up the ante on GR1 and be done with it, I think that is why there is so much frustration with this crowd is that, how hard can it be to just give us a face lift and new stuff, and be done with it, so to speak. I in know way am saying that it is easy work to make a tac sim such as GR, but why take it in another totally different direction, and then have the gall to call it what it's not. I just know these guys know what we are asking for cause they put it out in GR1 so it seems foolish to go on and on about what we enjoy about the game so.....hmmmm just am really am hoping that these guys have done good by GR1! Much respect Bill.

Im using a gateway 700 series 2001 with 512 mb or ram and ati all-in-wonder 9600xt. I am not sure if this is suffcient for graw, however i was thinking doesn't the 6.0 diesl engine they will use and havok be enough to benefit from the latest next gen. pc rendering affects, as well as game play at a high res?

I think that it is time to see some pc footage, to stop the speculation of this game, and what are expectations are for this up and coming sequel. I just feel that would ease alot of minds and let questionable debates about this game and what it is going to look like and play like be put into another catagory to comment on and respond to in a more imformative perspective.

personally i would expect all GR1 pc fans to want the same gameplay of course, but certainly expect this game to just kick some major bootie on the graphics and design.

Im a little troubled by the last screens coming from IGN. My reasoning behind this is simple. If you go to FortChaos.org the last four screens at the bottom of this sight show some pretty nice screens that got me all excited about GRAW on the PC. I realize that they are screens showing the Ghosts but still the quality and textures and such just look so damn good to me on those particular screens, I think there is another nice one on there with one Ghost laying down, as well as some fire...... looking mighty impressive! My thing is why now these other screens showing fpv which i perfer being an avid GR1 player, knowing that they are not showing the Ghost at this time and that it is a different view, still there when i look at those screens of the fpv, even from prior screens as well, there still not matching up the to quality of what i have seen on FortChaos.org. It is almost to me like looking at two different games! One done nicely and very nice quality almost like if it where a picture taken in real life.....to a very downscaled unempresive ummm just not wowed but dissapointed look. I don't know im confused! Much respect

People should be get ready to have their world rocked right over. There is no game in development right now that looks like this game. Forget every movie you have seen online of any title. It will drop your jaw. And the first time you start shooting at a guy in a MP game and he dives, yes dives, behind a car or a rock you are going to stop dead in your tracks. And GR1 fans prepare for that old familiar feeling...
We have hours of interview material coming and you are going to be amazed.
This will be some reading to look forward to. I just can't believe that fateful day i walked into Sam Goodies and bought GR1 on the basis of actuall screen shots on the cover of the box. Then having to buy a new computer to be able to download and play this game. I must say it was well worth it. You all have been so responsive and outspoken, to get this game to be a true sequel to GR1, and any kind of encouraging out put about a 360 game is better than nothing i suppose. All i can truly say is that i have had much fun over the years playing multiplayer on ubi, and have gone to alot of time and effort to get my rig and connection and sound to be on track wiff this game. I know how much fun this game is to fans and with all you all pulling for it to be what we think it sould be.......man i think it has a chance.
