  1. I think the reviews are spot on. Yes this is GRAW 1.5. I'm completely fine with that this is GRIT to the original GR. This isn't the jump that GR2 was to GR1. Solid game. I'm liking all the maps. I really like how the reinterpreted Embassy. No Hotel or Bank My biggest complaint on GRAW2 and GRAW1, why make really 2 seperate games. The controls are different for using cover in single player and multi. The graphics engine is downgraded for multiplayer, and 2 different game studios developed GRAW2. Ubisoft Paris for single, and Red Storm for Multiplayer. Why? Isn't it possible given GOW, to use the Graphics Engine from singleplayer in multiplayer? I've never seen an interview ask any GRAW developer this question.
  2. Thanks for posting the review location, I've been waiting for the first reviews to come in. Pretty much what I expected. Which is a good thing. More of the same, but polished and improved.
  3. GR:AW 2 very cheap at Fry’s Posted in Xbox 360, Games, Media by Ross Hayward on March 7th, 2007 at 18:32 If you happen to live in one of the ten states that features a Fry’s, then tomorrow could be your lucky day, because they are giving away Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 for $34.99! Now that is a good price. You would think that they would lose a lot of potential revenue by making such a cut, but it would certainly make business boom for them. It’s a shame for US citizens that they haven’t branched out more, since not everyone can get to a Fry’s easily, certainly not on the same level as a Bestbuy or Gamestop for example. via Xboxic.com

  5. Also mentions 512 mb memory card will launch April 3rhd for $49.99 64mb reduced to $29.99. Interview starts around 24 minute mark, and goes for about 20 minutes. Doesn't give up much new, that I haven't read here or elsewhere. Worldwide GRAW2 launch. They really put some thought into the acheivemetns. 16 person co-op in GRAW2. How many in GRAW1 co-op? http://www.majornelson.com/Default.aspx Check it out.
  6. Based on the Multiplayer demo... The co-op is too short to complete in 10mins IMO, and should have been able to set it for longer. The Co-op is a lot of fun. Should have had Team Siege with no Respawns in Multiplayer demo. At least that is how me and my clan play GR. (osogo.com) Team Elimination map is to dark and contrasty. I had to bump up the brightness to see in the shaded areas on my HD TV. and it blew out the brights. Trees continuously move around too much, the blustery winds, create way too much shadow/tree motion. I see what they were trying to do. Too much. I'd give it an 8 out of 10. I think retail with all its options and slight improvements will make this a bit better than GRAW1. Finally a compass! Nice going RSE, adding a compass to a tactical shooter, who'd a thunk it? I'm suprised it wasn't obvious enough to put in GRAW1.
  7. One obvious suggestion, they took that should have been in GRAW, was a compass. Nice addition, but basically stupid for it to have been omitted in the first place. Tactical Team shooter without a compass, come on. Nice that we finally have one.
  8. With the customizable multiplayer creation in RB6 Vegas, I would have figured that GRAW 2 would have went this direction, at least borrowing some ideas from it, it seems like it was a pretty popular feature, in that a lot of people liked it in concept. Why not have the digimask tech in GRAW 2 to enable you to use the vision camera to map your own face on to your character in GRAW2? Do the studios who created GRAW 2 and RB6 Vegas not talk? Since they are both Ubisoft/Clancy games, you would have thought this feature would have made it in. Or some code would have been easily shared. Opinions? I thought this was a pretty cool concept, and helped validate the purchase of the Vision Camera. Only 2 games use it currently correct? World Series of Poker and RB6 Vegas? I liked the RB6 multiplayer customizable options and would have thought this feature would have been picked up by GRAW2, especially it being a sequel, it being after the camera's release, wow factor, it being an Ubisoft title. Seems like these studios don't talk much to one another. What do/did you think of RB6 Vegas Vision Cam Custom face option. Buggy yes, didn't work at first yes, but would have been a cool bell/whistle for GRAW2.
  9. Farm Night Docks Vilnius Red Square Night Battle Swamp Prison Polling Center Plantation There were a bunch of classics. Yes that would be a keen idea for DLC. 6-8 classic maps.
  10. Thanks for the link! I'm officially very excited now for GRAW2. Hopefully more classic GR and GRIT maps will be reimagined and used for DLC. Night Docks please!
  11. Old School Clan Open Recruitment. Old School, osogo.com is looking for a few good members. Our founding members started gaming as a group back during NFL 2K series on Dreamcast, and we have been as a unit called Old School since the [Ghost Recon], on the Xbox1, when Xbox LIVE launched. We are looking to increase our membership. We are primarily a group of older guys, with only a couple of members under age 21. The average member of OS (Old School) is probably in their 30's, married/significant other, full time job etc. We play through the week, but most of us find time on the weekends. We are primarily a Ghost Recon team, but we have fielded teams for Halo 2, and other titles, as well as we are always running an in clan Sports league. It is not an easy thing to become a member in Old School. In the past year, we have recruited under 5 members, where as in some clans, they can get 5 members to join in a month. Pros to that are always high numbers, always a big group to play with, but the cons are is you usually have a revolving door. If you have or are considering a clan, ask them how long they have been around. Few will tell you more than a year. OS has been around for over 4 years. Our membership works like this. Once you add some of our OS members to our friends list, and you have played a number of hours with us... anywhere from 10 – 20 hours, you can apply to become an associate member. An associate member can enter into any sanctioned match against another clan, and you are effectively on our roster. Being on our roster and being an associate member is not the same as a full member. After playing with us a few months (usually under 6 months, you get bumped up to probate membership, and you are then more scrutenized into becoming a full member. Once you become a full member you gain access to all of our forum area, and can put the OS in front of your gamertag. If you are of the mature mindset, would like to play with a group, that has and will be around for the long haul, are interested in GRAW 2, and Halo 3, and 360 Sports titles, send a friends request to myself or a couple of our senior members, and join in on some of our rooms. GRAW 2 will be here before you know it, and you can get to know us, an fill out our lobby and we can get to know you. Our membership procedures take the longest of any clan I know, so don't be surprised by it, just letting you know up front, but it will be worth it in the long run, if you like us, and we like you. My gamertag is OS Perry Also add OS Absolam, OS Wayne Pain and OS Tampa to your friends list if interested. Register our forums and check us out at osogo.com We also play other 360 titles but not as a competitive group. Games like Battlefield Midway, Rainbow 6 Vegas, PGR3, COD2 and we will be playing Forza 2, just not on any competitive ladders. Currently we play on the Digital Combat ladder system. www.dccombat.com Like I had mentioned before we have always been a GR team, GR, GRIT, GR2, GR2SS, and GRAW, so GRAW2 should be a huge title for us, as well as Halo 3. If this sounds interesting to you, check us out. Thanks, OS Perry
  12. I'd like to see some Classic GR1 and GRIT maps make their way to GRAW2. Night Docks Vilnus Polling Station Farm
  13. I read in the newest OXM, that had an article about GRAW2, that it would have a new version of Embassy (is this Embassy from GR1 and GRIT?) Also they are supposed to support clans in game in some fashion. Any word on if Embassy is truly a new map, can anyone confirm this OXM article. I've seen it, but I'm not sure if it means a update of the GR1 Embassy map.
  14. Please do not link to, or post, magazine scans.
  15. I have the Xbox 360 version and loved the single player, and I thought the LIVE/multi was good too. It had a few things I would like to have seen different, but it getting 9/10 on most review sites, was about right on. I just got a new Media Center PC a couple months ago, and was wondering if the PC version would offer me much of anything new to warrant spending only $5 to get the PC version. Is the single player any different. I played the single player demo some and liked it. Any thoughts. Has Ubisoft patched this game enough to improve multiplayer, and iron some of the rough spots out since it was initially released?

  17. Blind Siege would add new life to the maps. I'm wondering why in Seige, the when a team is on defense, you wouldnt be able to customize and move the flames to a wide variety of places on a map, really opening up the maps. I know there are some maps like Treasury, that have areas, I've never explored.
  18. Now its up to 170, I wonder what the number will be tomorrow evening?
  19. http://www.mygamercard.net/leaderboard.php?gt=&g=57&z=&c Bit interesting... And killerboo is near the top, looks like a lot of territories have it.
  20. Very sweet indeed. Nicer than a lot of the Ubisoft stuff I've seen put together. Thanks for posting it!

    SPORE GAMEPLAY

Watch the entire thing. It is like sim city, sim earth, civilization, star control, risk, it has it all. Very cool.
  22. Obviously I'm a GR fan so this site is, here are some others. Maybe we could make a master list and add to them... No particular order... http://www.xboxyde.com/index_en.html My favorite for mostly mature forums, news, screenshots and clips http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/default.aspx new blog site from MS Xbox employees it seems http://www.gamerandy.com/ Nice stuff, from the gamer community http://gamingsteve.com/ Similar to gamerandy, he gaming steve gets some exclusive news sometimes too http://xboxscene.com/ http://www.teamxbox.com/ http://www.matchbox360.co.uk/index.php http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/xbox-360/ Some nice Xbox360 news, from around the world http://xbox360.1up.com/ http://spong.com/ http://xbox360.ign.com/
  23. Gamestop, IGN, teamxbox, could learn something by this article in this PDF. It talks to fans of the game, and tells them all the ins and outs of it, and doesn't just gloss over stuff. If IGN insider, or some game service had such well written in depth articles that spoke to fans of a particular game, I might consider joining and becoming an exclusive member. This is a must read for anyone who is a fan of the GR series on Xbox/360. Ick should be proud. Hopefully we'll see more of this type of thing in the future from Ick and the community. The game sites just go after the everyday gamer, and don't delve into a game the way ick has. Thats all fine and dandy, (because perhaps that is most of their audience) . But they could learn a thing or two from this article.
