Soundcard with DirectX 10 compatibility, what does that mean?.

Shall we just ignore all that and look forward to some ghost recon future soldier and predator gaming entertainment on various platforms, perhaps i shall.

Yeah this is real good stuff man, the radio chatter is great, authentic i suppose, well, that's what they are striving for, or so i heard one of the devs mention in a recent video sp gameplay review/preview?. Love the sound of those rockets, havok is kicking in nice, lol, love those physics. Looking forward to this game on pc and console.

RSE, rainbow six , ghost recon.
I'm still waiting on news of the next Rainbow Six game. Anyway, a quick recap of what Ghost Recon is.
The Ghosts, an elite American infantry unit using the most advanced technology the United States has to offer. The Ghosts are the spearhead of the United states Army's quick response. Ghost Recon is a squad based tactical game with edge-of-your-seat action and challenging tactical gameplay. The Reticle was very unique to the game, without it imho it would not be the same.
Ghost Recon
Take a deadly, realistic lesson in how to fight on tomorrow's battlefields. Latest battlefield technology: prototype weapons and new equipment like battlefield computers.

The demo is available through steam.
Edit: Not sure where to have posted this, because i just found out, according to the devs, KL2 belongs to the action genre, and it's more of over the shoulder perspective than full third person i think. But i noticed the other K&L game was posted in here.
Good looking game and great action, i enjoyed playing the demo so i'll be purchasing a full retail copy later this month, good game. I like what they have done with regards to the ambient occlusion and film grain / gritty look, the lighting is rather good, although some might think it's over done? but intentional by the devs for a particular effect they were trying to achieve, very good stuff imho.

they said its meant to be a realistic combat simulator.
They who?, the devs, treyarch?.
Also I don't think anyone ever claimed that any CoD game was supposed to be a 'realistic combat simulator'.
CoD games simulate fast and frantic run and gun linear fun shooting combat in sp and mp imho.
realism in terms of the look and style of the games, and I think they do a decent job with that.
I would agree with that.

suppress, flank , recon, indispensable, isn't it ?.
Intrinsic to Ghost Recon and even GRAW 1 and 2.
i'm not sure if there are any commands or orders you the player can give your team members?.
Update,
I did a tad more reading up on Ghost Recon Future Soldier's impressions, preview, hands-off eyes only of the E3 2010 Demo by different entities on the internet, and some persons were at the VIP section of the Ubisoft booth at E3 and talked to members of the development team about the game. This is mainly about the console verion of Future Sodier, or so i presume.
The E3 demo was scripted from start to finish. Throughout the first sequence, the AI squad-mates are sequenced and moving on their own. However, when asked if Future Soldier will follow a similar player-controlled AI structure (point cursor to a particular location and give an order), the devs were quick to say, "Yes, but the AI are largely improved from previous Ghost Recon titles. Although, playing the 4-player co-op is always the best way to experience the game".
The demo was split into three sections.
Sequence/section
Section one:Ghost team infiltrate a beach-side camp of enemy forces. The final moment of the first sequence saw the player-controlled character form up just behind the intended high value target (p.o.i), who was surrounded by three bodyguards. With Ghosts already (and magically) in position, the player-controlled character called for an all-out strike against the guards.
Section two:player in the role of a sniper in a tower above the action. Ubisoft wouldn't confirm that the game will automatically swap the player-controlled character (or even if it was manual) it doesn't appear that you will constantly be in control of the same soldier.
Section three:The final sequence saw the Ghost team fighting their way through hordes of enemies on the beach, an obvious escape sequence.
High-tech invisible camo is an important asset, it is not a cure-all for many of the tougher areas of the game because your enemies will be wearing thermal imaging technology.
The weapon damage looked similar to a "hardcore" type damage, where a single shot to the body or head was an instant kill. Another feature is that while drawing your weapon up for a more accurate shot, the view switches to first-person.
According to what developers have said previously, players will be prompted to make decisions on how to take a target out, capture a target, or complete a mission using a variety of other options. However, this demo was scripted from start to finish, so, unable to confirm any of these features.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is leaning toward a more "action-focused" experience. As players go to complete missions things can change around them, forcing them to alter their tactics and even scrap intended goals for new ones. The example during the E3 2010 demo was the appearance of a wanted criminal the Ghost leader quickly decides is more valuable captured alive. While Ubisoft representatives would not answer questions related to how scripted the battlefield changes are in the final game, the instance during the E3 2010 demo appeared to be completely scripted.
As with previous Ghost Recon games, teamwork will play a major part. Although the demo seen was short, the AI-controlled teammates appear to be intuitive and easy to coordinate with. We watched as three of them took out targets simultaneously, allowing the main character to move up and silently restrain the target easily.

What if I want my squad to flank a certain position as I suppress it
OR I want my squad to suppress a position as I flank it.
Also, ROE, like recon mode, is indispensible, isn't it ?
Listen to the E3 demo, kozak the player ghost you control in game is being told what to do, so i'm not sure if there are any commands or orders you the player can give your team members?.

Ghost Recon is no longer a game of skulking behind rocks, picking people off from great distances. Combat is much more close quarters, enemies far more plentiful and the cover system is far more like the one in Gears of War. While the use of gadgetry and teamwork means it's not a straightforward corridor-pounder, it's definitely much more of an action shooter than a tactical shooter. Certain corners of the internet will be upset, and likely to use a certain phrase beginning with 'd' and ending with 'umbed-down'.

Well I am running the steam version of the game, and I can't seem to find a way to install just the vanilla game. It seems like it automatically installs the 1.35 patched version.
Once the full game is installed, is it not possible to go to the games directory within the steam client and click on properties and under updates check "Do not automatically update this game" ?.

I think EricJ ( mod author) made MR_C68 fully compatible with grpcrc1.02 and single player and LAN only?. I had no problems with MR_C68 and grpcrc1.02 on windows 7 x64 in sp and LAN. But with grpcrc1.35 i had issues with securom, but i was able to get the mod to work in single player only, lan mode crashed so i presume internet would crash as well.
To get the mod to work in sp only and patched to 1.35 on windows 7 x64 i had to delete some files from the MR_C68 mod folder. I deleted the group_manager xml from the [lib] folder, then i deleted the [global] file and the sb_husk_data xml from the [sb_templetes] folder.
Windows 7 64-Bit patch 1.02
Window 7 64-Bit patch 1.35

I used to play the retail dvd version and patched to 1.35 on windows xp home and the same thing happened to me.
When you downloaded the weapon mod there should be three files, one is MR_C68 and two is MR_C68Full and third file is a MR_C68 Readme pdf. I think there is a file or two i had to delete in the sb_templetes folder and lib folder to get it to work in single player only, i never tested in mp environement, and also i think i only used and tweaked the MR_C68Full weapon file/folder.
If i get time i'll install the game on windows XP 32-Bit and find out how i got it to work and update this post asap.

THQ has announced a sequel to post-apocalyptic shooter Metro 2033, revealing also that it will be a 3D compatible game. Titled Metro 2034, the game currently has no release date nor definite platforms, though the original was available on both Xbox 360 and PC and so it’s likely the sequel will follow suit.
I read the above on ComputerAndVideoGames.com.

I presumed the client and key is all you need?. I didn't aquire a key yet (too busy to play) but i thought you only had to install the client/beta then when prompted install the key code?. But, is the beta over with soon?.

Probably one of the worst online games I have ever played.
It's a fair/low priced game at retail, so i imagine the sp is worth the asking price?.

Please please tell me that this 3rd person view is NOT the standard view whilst playing ?.Can someone tell me that this view is switchable and you can play in either 1st or 3rd ?.
The E3 XBOX 360 demonstration of GR:FS clearly shows for the most part that the third person or over the shoulder view is standard view just like GRAW 1 and 2 are. In GRAW 1 XBOX 360 you can choose first person? "crosshair"/ "reticle"; perspective, which is the exact same perspective as Ghost Recon, Desert Siege and Island Thunder or ots perspective like XBOX Ghost Recon summit strike. There are hands-on reports you can read about the console version of GR:FS and those reports say it's a mixture of first and ots perspective, but as far as i am aware there is no information at all about the PC version of GR:FS. We will have to wait for direct information about the game or from previews and reviews, when that will be?, your guess is as good as another's.
I am equally concerned about this limited ordering system. How can we have a tactical shooter if we cannot order our troops ?.
Micro-management of squad members is out, it is all about the link-up system and close quarters melee combat.

What exactly were you looking for out of an expansion...a security blanket?... but to be honest arrowhead looks like a community made mod.J/K.
Can i get a cloak with that?.
I should of researched more info about the game before i spoke. Bohemia Interactive have said there is enough content in Operation Arrowhead (military simulator) shooter; to make it a full game and they feel a stand alone product is the best way forward. 4 player coop and integrated mod management, lots of optimizations. I'm really liking the integrated mod management, although i never had a problem with kegettys tools or arma launcher etc. A2OA deploys the US Army this time round, four main characters available, airborne infantry, helicopter pilot, tank commander and special forces operator. It's excellent when you think about it though, a heap of new content, improvements on the engine;optimizations, unlimited sandbox, and a very fair retail price, very good PC game if you ask me.

Still no mention of it on there own sites, plus no mention of the MP anywhere.Still failing here creating account for MP. A poor show IMO.
In the Facebook reply/response you posted earlier, it says official version uses steam, lobby?, and can connect to their dedicated servers?. But i checked steam, they are advertising the game but there is no steam demo.
Official response @ Facebook:
This "demo" isn't official and in fact it isn't demo but just 2 levels, development build made for our distribution partners only. Official version uses Steam, lobby and of course can connect to our dedicated servers which are already working and waiting for a premiere and first players..
Official version uses steam, official full retail game probably yes, the demo (official or not) does not allow mp matches, demo is sp and lan only. Unless of course you add the demo to steam, but how does one do that?, "add a none steam game to your library" ?, but you can't add a demo, lol, oh well never mind eh.
