GR:AW PC DELAYED - Feb 2006.
=warcloud= replied to Pave Low's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I once read an article over at gamershell.com gh3d.com the title was "Is PC Gaming dead allready"? or something like that... anywayz it was pointing to the fact that developing games for the consoles was easier and more profitable, yes a very lucrative market for XBOX, PS2, etc. -

=warcloud= replied to Cons72's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion

Maybe early december 2005? I'm gonna say june 2006. So if it's out to retail before then that's a bonus...lol.

In the GR:AW movies, i'm thinking about the one where the ghosts are in urban map [one with the tank] shows the sniper shooting through the wall, i'm sure of it.Looking at Eye Of The Storm (working title) for the PC [i believe uses physX] I'm gonna say yes to what you asked.I looked at the game movie over at Gamespot.I have not seen any PC GR:AW in game footage only XBOX360, so it's difficult for all to see exactly what physX, Havok physics eye candy give us in the game. Copy & paste from AGEIA website. AGEIA PhysX Technologies Gaming will never be the same with AGEIA PhysX Process

I read rocky's readup bout AGEIA physX tech in GR:AW.I understand a bit better, i guess the physics such as destructible environments will be realistic from the dust to particles the way a wall in real life would crumble or blast out.Looking at the chip and board i'm thinking along the lines of SLI because how does it work independentley of normal gfx card? looks like SLI bridge of some sort on top of card, maybe need a master card.As read on Rocky's news that asus is a chosen manufacturer to build em, and then you'll probably get nVidia and ATI making there own versions? Anywayz could very we

Man this is all sounding a bit radio gaga radio caca, just use the havok physics fizzyks whatever...lol.And give us a demo allready for crying out loud.Sheesh fly me to the moon why don't ya.Better still join the forces and get a gun and join a real war...there you go... is that real enough physics for you?All this amazing technology now [sLI, G70,X1800 whatever].Man it's just a game, and i bet people will be bored after completion. It's alright i guess this new physix thing as long as it's cheap, cheap as chips.Put it in the cpu?All this hardware we have now and you get a realy good fps game e

Be great to see a release in november. But i suspect a 2006 release along with with RvS lockdown. It may end up like S.T.A.L.K.E.R soc.lol.Whilst i'll wait for GR:AW, i'll be getting some serious game time with Battlefield 2 and the upcoming expansion special forces.Great.... that will take my mind off GR:AW.

Thing is you never know, maybe GR:AW will be the first game to support dualcores?I just want to know what hardware muscle will run GR:AW in all it's glory. -
Excellent read, looking forward to GR:AW more so than any other game.I hope my 6800GT agp can cope with grin's engine?

First PC Screen With HUD
=warcloud= replied to WhiteKnight77's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Yes i would agree totaly that the first person weapon view is as real as you could play.In real life you would not see a crosshair + {+} (+).Well when i hold a gun or rifle what i see is the weapon in my hand/hands, my arms, the world around me, well the only area in first person shooters developers have not quite got it right is the field of view, the corner of your eyes, there is a slight rounded view, lol, the eyes are round.Well that's how i see anyway. -
Long time since i played Ghost Recon.I thought female fighters came in the expansions.

First PC Screen With HUD
=warcloud= replied to WhiteKnight77's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Wall textures look a bit naff close up, suppose it depends what graphics card is rendering the scene. The weapon detail looks good.Nice one WK, the more i see GRAW pc screens the more i believe the game is getting closer.Maybe a demo first?Where did you say that pc screen shot came from? -
I favour the 4-man fireteam, although a fifth team member wouldn't be a bad thing.I guess it depends how big the urban areas are.If they are tight (Close Combat:First To Fight for example) you would be tripping over each other.

Hey chaps... ghost recon, did a demo come out before the gold/release?I just can't remember.Anywayz i would be greatful for a GR:AW demo before the gold/release.EA/DICE did for BF2, so c'mon UBI/GRIN.

If we had no choice but to download our games/software then so be it.But i would not want to pay as much as you do in retail outlets.I realy don't think it will happen all the time right now.just give me the PC DVD Rom in it's case anyday.
