anyone care to guess what i'll need to run gr:aw
=warcloud= replied to cajun47's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I guess we all would like to know the minimum specs for playing GR:AW on the pc. Hopefully the developers/programmers will do a good job as half life 2 engine, to be able to have decent framerates and good lookin graphics at the minimum resolution of say 1280 x 1024. Some new game engines of 2005 have been demanding on computers, it seems like every new game engine needs a graphics card upgrade to play well. I'm struggling to get a balance between good framerates and some eye candy at 1280 x 1024 @60hz with new games tbh, and that's the truth. I'm saving for an upgrade to faster pc hardware, i -
The first psu i got may of been faulty, but anyway i'm going to buy the a8n-premium and the tagan easycon 480, tagan psu i got now is very good. Of course the thing is do i bleed my self dry and go for the X1800XT 512MB or the 7800 GTX 512MB?

Very smart recording studios, so much so i could live in there. GR:AW is going to sound awesome in console and pc with the tech they use, i would love to spend a day in that studio. I'm still waiting to get my novation remote 25 to make some techno sounds.

Number of soldiers in gameplay
=warcloud= replied to Tortfeaser's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
My guess is that there will be multiple players ingame server side and 4 man unit single player. -
I can't work this out, i'll explain... i once tried the Tagan TG480-U1 480W black series on a asus K8N-E dlx motherboard, i connected the main power to mobo then connected the light blue P4 4 pin but i had no joy, pc refused to boot no matter what i tried, are some tagan psu's designed for xeon boards, btx only? I had to rma the tg480-u1, the supplier sent me a different tagan psu, one with an obvious 12v 4 pin connector black and yellow. Thanks for your reply Greyhaired, i might just look for another make of psu, tagan are a bit confusing with some of there psu's.

Sounds great for the 360. Need some more info on the pc version, later i guess? I want to know if the sky is dynamic in the pc version, i think dynamic means a realistic drifting cloud scene, ya know like say.. cloud drifts over the sun... then the sun bursts through giving a nice bloom fx. I like that realism, gives me the immersion.

GTX 512MB very nice gfx card, a tad too expensive for me this time around. But anyway for those who can afford it....go get it and crank up to the max. It looks like i might go ATI this time, have never used any of there gfx cards but from what i read on lots of gaming forums ati gfx users say the iq is much better than the greens?. If ati can get enough R520XT 512MB to local e-tailors soon i'll be getting one of these i reckon, guess it depends what funds i got spare after paying the bills. I noticed on ati website they are advertising the R520 "fudo"? with ghost recon advanced warfighter, is

GRAW: last, best hope for game inovation.
=warcloud= replied to Poita's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
The way the characters move in Ghost recon advanced warfighter reminds me of brothers in arms road to hill 30. GR:AW will be like BIA RTH30 but modern combat of course, nothing spectacular and it will be no different from any other 3d game and i bet you will have to have a beafy pc to play it in all of it's glory. Looking forward to playing graw though. -
Buy the game play it, you don't like it... tough buy another one get on with it. they are not constructive posts. They just like to moan they are just a bunch of moaners. Like the geezer said relax man.

I come hear to get away from the EA uk Battlefield 2 forum, Battlefield 2 for me is an awesome game i enjoy it very much, it's great fun. But oh man the ea bf 2 forum members (not all of them but most of em) just go on and on and on and on about things like sick of the stats, sick of the bomb runs, sick of the punish system, sick of this , sick of that.. c'mon ea/dice do something, do something now... bla de bla de bla.. moan moan moan, what a bunch of sissys. It's very depressing most of the time reading the threads and posts at Battlefield 2 EA uk forum. I think ea/dice did a excellent job o

WE'VE been hearing a lot about Ageia, the company that announced its physics processing unit. Lately we can not remember that a single week has passed that we haven't heard something about its Physics Processing Unit (PPU) cards. The company is certainly spinning like a top. From the first day we learned about this product, the company planned to introduce its retail products sometime in Q4 2005 and this is exactly what is going to happen. We spoke with some knowledgeable people and learned that some of those cards should be available and announced either in late November or in early Dec

"Great a sandbox"... i'll bring me bucket and spade. -
Yeah c'mon now don't get the munk punk!Heh i'm still looking forward to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the PC, it's good to know that there are great games to play in 2006.For me personally 2005 has been a somewhat dissapointing year for first person shooters, i'm realy only into modern combat.I enjoyed First To Fight that was great but there are no plans for an expansion or mod tools, but a great game for me to have played anyway. The only game for me this year that is awesome has to be Battlefield 2 because there is so much you can do with this ace game, no game as of yet ca

Your eyes enable you to view yourself in full color, even though color vision is not vital to life. The position of your ears gives you stereophonic hearing; thus you can locate the source of sounds. ANOTHER superb organ is the human brain. It, together with the rest of the nervous system, is often compared to man-made computers. Of course, computers are constructed by humans and operate according to step-by-step instructions predetermined by human programmers. Yet, many people believe that no intelligence was responsible for “wiring†and “programming†the human brain. Although e

GR:AW PC DELAYED - Feb 2006.
=warcloud= replied to Pave Low's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Ummm... look at half life 2, what.. five years or so in the making and when it was released it had issues. I expect bugs and problems in new game releases all the time, they should just release it as is and let us beta it. That's what i did with Battlefield 2, even with issues, but hey you still get to play the game. -
I'm still waiting for a demo for S.T.A.L.K.E.R shadow of chernobyl. Be great to have a playable demo of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.I was just thinking.. All the games out now, when Windows Vista is here will the games be patched to work in Vista? I'm sure we have a beta vista edition in june 2006?

GR:AW PC DELAYED - Feb 2006.
=warcloud= replied to Pave Low's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Oh shame about the delay... lol.Iwonder if it will be delayed even longer, because the next thing would be to have GR:AW compatible with VISTA?
