Another Preview - in German but....
=warcloud= replied to Lightspeed's topic in Arma 2 & OA - General Discussion
It's just more of the same really imho, don't get me wrong, i enjoy playing the arma series video games, but all i see so far is a mod with what sounds like that crazy horse clip clop movement of the playable avatar, which is not a bad thing if it only costs ten quid mind?. -

Ubi PC Titles To Require Online Authentication
=warcloud= replied to CR6's topic in The Video Gaming Industry Discussion
For that to be a valid statement you need to qualify 'better product'; if you mean morally better to own then to steal I agree; if you mean better as far as function and quality, that quite simply is just not the case for far to many paying Ubisoft Customers. I don't know how anyone could disagree with the complaint that paying a small fortune for an 'AAA' Clancy title only to find that the DRM makes the game unstable or completely unplayable -- defective; your good fortune with a particular product's DRM doesn't invalidate someone else's bad fortune... Any objective sense a 'better' w -
Ubi PC Titles To Require Online Authentication
=warcloud= replied to CR6's topic in The Video Gaming Industry Discussion
I doubt that very much, they, the criminals, might think they have by their ill gotten games, but actualy they don't. What they and the like do have though, is a rather pathetic profile, they are just low life scum bags, idiots with stupid attitudes, but they might eventualy grow up and become better people with better minds?. But if they have access to all of the features of the product and don't have to jump through any hoops outside of procuring the product and the crack, I'd say that that's a better product experience. Not a better life, but if we're just comparing their time playing -
Considering it's due out the 25th this month hardly anything is known about the game. GAME.co.uk have no box art just a snip of info, gamestation uk has nothing on it. Is this game due for retail in england/uk?.

Splinter Cell: Conviction some In game Screenshots
=warcloud= replied to =warcloud='s topic in Action-adventure Games
gamespot did say some good things from what i read about their review of scc, but as always it's just their take on things. All the issues gamespot review mentions, i have not had one, except i couldn't connect to Uplay once, and that had nothing to do with the game. Each to their own liking of whatever but i do my own review, i have read countless times how some over rated review site or sites give a thumbs down on a said game and only to find out for my self how wrong these often twonk reviewers only give their impressions. Me personaly i think this is the best of the series, i own the 360 a -
W+Left Shift is sprint, whilst sprinting tap space bar that's your run and slide, also if you hit left Ctrl whilst sprinting you should perform a dive. Pressing V puts you on your tip toes, i think that's all correct. You can assign the keys you want to different actions.

Future Soldier To Feature "Surprising Locations"
=warcloud= replied to JohnTC02's topic in GR:FS - Xbox 360
All aboard the USS Ronald Regan, maybe?. -
I wondered why the ghost is not fully cloaked. I read in CVG's feature:xbox article that the thermoptic camouflage only really aids the Ghosts to get close enough to unleash their new brand of physical hurt. However, when you fire your weapon, the camo switches off and you become detectable.

His name is Pepper...he's the sniper. Roger that. So we have a (commando) (engineer) (recon) (sniper) ?.

Will they continue SWAT4 Games ?
=warcloud= replied to =warcloud='s topic in Military Tactical Realism Titles
Apparently swat4 was the last game in the series, the cancellation of SWAT 5 was revealed by a developer who previously worked on the game, where he confirmed it was in development on the PS3. It likely would’ve also hit Xbox. SWAT 5 was cancelled way back in 2006 , i'm sad about that late news to me . The series was such a good tactical first person shooter. Oh well, will have to wait for news for the next Rainbow Six title, if there is to be another R6 game?, hopefully that one does not fall away and be sadly missed too. -
Thank goodness for mans best friend eh. Charlie is elusive these days. Security was a nightmare for charlies son in the hot zones, so i heard.

Not a lot is known about Ghost Recon Future Soldier right now but what info/intel we have it appears to me that this next game could be heavily focused on close quarter combat.

Found that pic on the net, cant compare with mine, its destroyed many years ago, btw im playing the steam version now (M4 too). I still have the original cd-roms in mint condition, i took some photo's, hardly a scratch on them, and i still have the original receipt dated 10/08/02, that's when i purchased it. M16A2's? or M4 carbine's? on front cover, M4's i think. Superb game in it's day and still loved by many. What is amazing though is a combined total of 31 single player missions (inc expansion packs), (15 single player missions in [Ghost Recon], just brilliant), as well as a bunch of

Good job on the "future" update, i like grey

The shocker for me personaly was knowing this time round there is no "squad command", so i'm very interested to now how this will pan out for single player main campaign and multiplayer. Watching the promo live video i noticed in the mission Operation "Take Down Overlord", you see markers showing the location of Ghost#3 KOZAK (commando), Ghost#4 BONES (engineer), and Ghost#2 30k (recon), but i can't find any info for Ghost#1?.

How wide is that?, we don't get anything like that here in england, maybe a heavy rain storm once in a while. -
Grin Wolfsong said the brains behind the Diesel engine has started their own company called Bitsquid, which has promised to show of a brand new engine at GDC next year. I'm not 100% sure but i presume "the brains" refer to the andersson brothers?.
