  1. They indicate the different levels.

M07 River, and noticed that at the bridge and another location, there was a gray circle with the number 1

If you go onto the bridge then check the CM, you will see it now has a number 2 in the circle. Leave the bridge it is back to number 1.

This info is put into the environment file.

    <kCMLevelIconNodeName>

    <kCMLevelIconX>41.000000</kCMLevelIconX>

    <kCMLevelIconY>-130.000000</kCMLevelIconY>

As a lot of custom maps have more than 2 levels, but the CM only supports 2 levels, this is something not really imputed much.

  2. Would depend on how much you want that SP experience. :P

Really enjoyed BC2 / SP, I think this is going to be a really good game. There is very little else to choose out there right now for PC FPS players, that like some kind of fun, tactical game.

COD is the game i want to play when I want to mindlessly kill lots of tangos. I do not need another title trying to be COD. BF, for me seems to have a refreshing recon side to it, from BC2 experience in SP.

  3. My speakers are plugged into the rear of the machine. When I use the headphones, I plug them into the front. In my sound card options it is checked to mute the rearoutput device when a front headphone is plugged in.

I use Realtek. If the program is not selected to start by default, or is not active when I try to switch speakers, it does not work Then I need to enable it in msconfig, then it will work on a restart, or enable it in services.msc, and no restart needed.

  4. Only had the new PC running Saturday, the results (DX11-Ultra: average 40 FPS) where before all was updated. W7 updates, latest drivers all round. Not sure what did it, but the FPS has gone up by 20. :o Used the same spot for every test in the past. If I look around fast it drops down to around 50.

Other wise it tends to sit at 60 with no issues. :D

  5. Exactly, even worse, if your stray bullets/nades going off into the distance, hit a shadow that you cannot even see yet. Invincible is the bare minimum they need.

Bk to the cinematics, never really used them. Although, I have in the past. Recently created a scene in the caves on the caves map. I never had a issue here with switching camera. Will have a try in other rooms at some point.

  6. I sent the MB and CPU bundle back last month, They confirmed the MB was defective. Had a refund as the store had no more stock.

Bought a X58 Sabertooth and the i7 960, all up and running, all 12GB of RAM is there. At last.

SLI solution would not work because I had 2 cards that where the exact same model and brand, however 1 has 2GB memory, and the other has only 1GB.

However there is a hack over on the Nvidia site that can fix this. It basically sets both cards to run at the lowest factor. So both cards are now fully running in SLI mode, they both run at 1GB of memory each. Details of this can be found here:

Use the following steps to enable Coolbits

So finally fully functioning. Now time to start building a second to replace my much outdated modding machine.

  7. Forgot I ordered these! <_< Delivered today along with a spy camera. Must ban late night sales here.

Well not too sure right now about these. Been using them for a few hours and fiddling with the settings. Taking a lot of time to get them to work throughout some games, movies, music etc...

Teamspeak seems to completely ignore all my settings, and have had to tweak the 3d settings options within TS, but all is good after that.

They look awesome, feel great, but the 1 little thing I will pick on is the control box that sits half way down the cable. It looks cheap and tacky, like it belongs on a £2.99 remote controlled car. However, this little box does work wonders in controlling nearly all the sounds.

Not really set up proper yet, but a few days I can have a good play around.

I have a set of Bose here which cost over £130 if I remember correct, and some sennheisser. I would put the turtles up and above both of those so far.

Very nice headset, but unfortunatley, good things like this take so much configeration these days.
