  1. Once you go widescreen, you'll never want to go back.
  2. No, I'm not missing your point. You are saying GR:AW PC is based on RSE's GR:AW 360. Ummm, it isn't. PC, 360, Xbox and PS2 all follow a shared storyline (which GRIN did not have to prepare), other than that the titles play very differently (two of them bombed, hard). You like to point out time being an issue, you do realize that PC started pre-production by June of 2004, and full production in November of that year? RSE, as well as other developers, at the most were working with an Xbox 360 ALPHA KIT at that time, while GRIN already had PC hardware in front of them. At E3 2005 I was
  3. So then if GR:AW PC is RSE's work re-done/ported, where are the options, and choices, Serellan and the team provided the 360 gamers? I don't see it anywhere. I don't even see the choices that the GR1 team provided us, 5 years ago. Where is the IWS intergration in MP? This title is Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, right? All I see in PC MP is a mini-map and diamonds (nothing more than IFF names). Doesn't seem very "advanced" to me, where are the drones, and other features, the name implies? I see them on 360 MP, as options, but not on PC. Red Storm's work redone? More like ommitted or
  4. Then I hope Ubi shuts the masses out next time and only goes with a select group, under NDA. *shrug*
  5. Why are you asking me that? What does that question have to do with my post? It doesn't matter the way they are running the beta, people still don't have a right to abuse Ubi's server.
  6. Yes it is, people make mistakes though and sometimes forget things. However, that doesn't matter much, does it. People, who are not Ubisoft employees, are abusing someone elses property, being accepted to the beta doesn't give them that right.
  7. I hope Ubi learns the lesson. Don't do an "open" beta anymore, people will abuse it and ruin it for everyone. The way people are abusing Ubisoft's server is NOT right, some people really need to grow up. After this crap I wouldn't fault Ubi for never doing a GR series beta again.
  8. Thing is people are confusing the original posters problem with their own. He cannot get to the feedback section within Ubi's dedicated beta website. The issue about the file not being on the FTP server is not what he's trying to sort out.
  9. Have you tried alternate browsers? Or why don't you try e-mailing Ubisoft, it is their website afterall.
  10. No, random people cannot see the D/L URL for the BETA package, that is where the problem lies. Postals post put the link out there for the world to see.
  11. You can help the guy, but just make sure to keep the private BETA url, ummm private. I have already warned people in another thread.
  12. A warning: DO NOT POST the the url, or images of the BETA url, on this board.
  13. Some of you folks need chill out. The e-mail said you might be able to download the package on first try, try again later then. Also they may not have assigned your Ubi.com account the correct permissions yet to access the beta site/forums. That is something that has to be done on an individual basis it its like any forum software I've ever used. For all you know your next on the list, so relax.
  14. Instead of putting your 360 in the fridge and recording it, why not just call M$ or the store you bought it from? Looney.
  15. This "tag", along with a number of others, is scattered throughout the game. Clicky.
  16. Those are questions for someone smarter than me! Ummmm...DAAANNIK!
  17. It is a SATA power cable connection, you can see what the connector looks like here: its on the right hand side of this adapter. Its a bit different than your standard molex , new PSU's come with SATA connectors out of the box. At least the last two I purchased did.
  18. I was thinking forward when I was waiting for GR2 and GR:AW. I was eagerly awaiting an evolved Ghost Recon experience and I thought we were going to get it when Ubisoft cancelled 2 infavor of 3. They told us the wait would be worth it, so I trusted that. But the problem is the forward progression isn't in the version I bought for PC. From what I've heard GR2 PC was shaping up nicely, very nicely and 360 MP brought GR to the next level. GR:AW PC IMO isn't even in the same family of games, much like the other non-RSE produced titles in the series. I still don't hesistate to say, the only g
  19. buellsrusx1, you have just earned yourself 2 weeks of post moderation for that last post.
  20. Yet GR:AW 360 MP, done by RSE, has features reminisant of GR1 (and some features making a comeback from Rogue Spear!). Also, we don't have to e-mail Red Storm designers to tell them what we want, they read this board, and know people wanted more players for COOP, more game types, and options. They delivered that on 360. Some people may not like OTS or playing with analog sticks, or just plain turn their nose up at any console title, but there is no denying, Red Storm has the pulse of GR MP communitty.
  21. That would be really nice, but so far, only a few places in Texas. Nope, not just Texas. Locally it is already on Long Island (my co-worker has had it well over a year now), Staten Island, parts of Queens, and parts of upstate NY. They are deploying it all over the country.
  22. If you want to go by reviews, IGN gave GR1 a 9.3 and GR:AW an 8.1. But any way you shake it GR1 shipped as a complete title. It had a full campaign (whose maps were all playable in both TvT and COOP), more players for online COOP/TvT, IGOR, and a fully functional MP component, with more than one gametype. GR:AW shipped with a finished SP campaign, but MP is lacking, majorly (both COOP and TvT). I can live with some bugs, and yes GR1 and GR:AW both have/had them, but GR1 shipped as a complete game. GR:AW PC did not. With GR1 we didn't have to wait for patches to add the MP component found i
