Games Radar Preview + HALO DROP Video
NYR_32 replied to jAkUp's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I wasn't really directing my response to the developers such as yourself, desmond and John. I understand you guys are putting the feature in question, and inclusion of features in general, into a developers perspective. You guys have a lot to do to get simple things in, yet alone something like this. Your responses are totally understandable. HF is talking about HALO from a USSF perspective, which is also totally understandable. Personally, I love reading his comments, and I love reading comments from all of the dev's who come here. It is very informative stuff, heck sometimes I learn more -
Games Radar Preview + HALO DROP Video
NYR_32 replied to jAkUp's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
I think some people missed HF's point, really. There are people on this forum who nitpick about ALOT of things, things people perceive to be "realistic" or not. Alot of people are also saying things look really awesome, and more "realistic", compared to 360. All HF is saying is that this HALO sequence is a not true portrayl of what he does in real life. He has the right to point these things out, and offer an opinion that differs from the now common "GRIN rockzor's" and such. Now if people cannot debate nicely in response to a realism critique, or a differing opinion, then you may find -
Will there be support for the Trackir 4 pro?

You already started a thread on this, please do not start a third. -
GRIN can you confirm what this guy is saying...

Question answered, thread closed. The next demo thread on this forum will be when its released, or UBI confirms a date, not before. -
Already posted. http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=32898

The animation is there, its pretty fast, your just missing it.
-
What you quoted isn't from the hands on report.
-
Ummmmm. Right out of Colin and ZA's report.
-
Keep this thread on topic. Anything not discussing the IGN preview should stop right now.
-
Stop telling GRIN they should have done this and that. They have their reasons, and my guess is, it's an order from the top. If no pools of blood is going to ruin it that much for you, then don't buy the game.
-
Plenty of adults think they are rambo, so no matter what the rating is there will be people playing like that. GR1's mature rating didn't keep them away.... Not to mention, they have the right to own and play the game as much as anyone else in the world. My suggestion is play on servers with like minded people, problem solved.
-
I'd guess its just a bunch of things hanging on the wall of the aircraft, kinda like this one.... Seeing as its the beginning of the first mission is when your team jumps out of the C-130, I don't know why you'd need med packs mid flight.
-
I suggest reading this.
-
You can't be seriously drawing the conclusion that there are med packs, gun power ups and ice cream trucks in the game from that? Does this one mean I can order chinese takeout via my crosscom? People seriously need to stop over analzying screenshots.
-
I personally trust ZA and Colin more. Not to mention one person on this forum has said SF is moving more towards DA, and away from SR, GR:AW's just reflecting that. So why don't you make your own mind up after you've played it. Thats what I'm doing.
-
You haven't played it, so how can you be with the IGN people? Geez man, play it first.

Please do not start new topics regarding the demo, or dedicated servers. Any new threads regarding those topics will be closed. When the time comes GRIN will be able to give us more details. -
since we still don't have a demo....

Stop with these "how will my specific rig do" threads already. Keep it all of these questions in ONE thread, there are plenty of them already. -
In the PC version the Blackhawk aircrew man the helo's weapons, not the ghosts.

Producer tour in The Netherlands
NYR_32 replied to Jorrit's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Upload the contents of the game DVD then, or send a copy to your server host. Thats what people did for GR1 and I plan on doing that with GR:AW if there isn't a downloadable, standalone server application. And did you not read this? That doesn't sound like an absolute to me. GRIN is not currently commenting on MP on the forums, so how about waiting until they can before going off on them. Remember game developers are gamers themselves, I think they understand how important the online portion of a game is in this day and age. -

You missed out on the repawn debate back when GR1 was announed. We are now here 5 years and two sequels later, guess what? Respawns are still in the series. No use trying to convince the world that they have no place in GR. Respawns are an option, always have been. If you don't like them, don't use them. Discussion over. -

GR1 had plenty of dedicated servers, and lots of people played it, so don't know what your talking about. Also in 2001 the game wasn't old, it was brand new. Remember something called the GOTY? It was a very popular game even a year after it was released. Personally I prefer an anti-cheat solution created by the developer over something like PB. Everyone knows people can get around PB easy enough, I'd prefer something built into the game that can be fixed and updated by the people who built the game engine. I wonder if some people even played GR1 online, because its common knowledge t -
If you guys want to continue this discussion, please start a new thread, I want this one to die for obvious reasons.

I contend that GRAW PC will be a jolly good game.
NYR_32 replied to Poita's topic in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion
Then explain GR1, same design on a console as on PC. Ever hear of OFP: Elite on Xbox? Since you don't touch consoles you wouldn't know its the same as OFP on the PC. Stop with the console bashing already, it's tiring, and repetitive. You may want to read the pinned post on the subject. -
As many of the old guard members know, the staff here at Ghostrecon.net has a policy regarding people's claims of military service. We do not appreciate people using our forum to make themselves out to be something they aren't. Some of you may remember the most recent incident with a member named Thor claiming to be a SEAL, he was outted, and is no longer allowed to visit this forum. This goes for anyone who makes similar claims of military service. In the past two days we questioned another individual, SpecOps.Briggs who claimed to be former US Army and Marine Corp. Amongst the numero
