  1. Similar, but the grenadier had to become a new model, as the vest has a very high poly count (vest plus grenade pouches is somewhere in the region of 3600 faces). The whole model (including all the other stuff on the SEAL unit) came to 12000 faces, and caused some weird distortions in VBS1. These distortions were fixed by making the grenadier a seperate model though, so its all good. I'm not going to be setting a release date just yet, as I'm notorious for rarely keeping to them as something always crops up at the last minute, but I'll be sure to keep you guys informed.
  2. I've not been working on the SEALs for quite some time, but for various reasons I'm back, and whooping the Desert SEALs' ass in O2 Here are some images of the changes I've made so far. Updated Team-Leader with the new vest (1024x768) Updated Covert Engineer with the updated vest (1024x768) Covert Team-Member(1024x768) Team line-up(1024x768) Updated Grenadier with the awesome new grenade vest (736x768) Another shot (closer) of the grenade vest - notice the visible 40mm grenade inside each pouch. (749x562)
  3. Updated SJB Desert SEALs scout ahead.
  4. I'm currently submitting the pack to www.vbs1.info's members download area, so within the next few days, v1.0 of the pack should be available for download.
  5. I've decided to alter the Aimpoint optic for a more realistic model. The model took me about an hour to make, and then another hour to apply the textures to - that sounds like a long time for such a small model, but when you consider its 'see-through' like a 'proper' optic, you'll understand why it took so long. Anyway, check the image below for an early look at the new optic. Further work has been done to it since, but I just haven't been bothered enough to taek and upload a newer screenshot image
  6. Yes you can En4cement, you can simply increase the amount of fog/mist (click on the clock/weather icons in the editor, and then move the 2nd slider (below the sun/cloud symbols) from left to right to increase the mist/fog amount). Congrats too are in order for you and your wife
  7. I'd get into the "Don't you mean 'ports the best models and re-textures them?" argument but I don't wish to get into a ###### contest if you'll excuse my French. I.E. The M82 being by the FDF mod (for OFP) and myself, the helmet and such on the units being by Fudge etc.
  8. Well, the SEALs and their associated weapons have begun their FINAL testing, which should last roughly 1-2 weeks. So far the feedback has been good, with only a few very minor issues cropping up and being quickly resolved. I'll post further news as the release draws closer.
  9. First image doesn't work as vbsresources.com does not permit external linking.
  10. 1 - SJB M82A1 2 - SJB MP5-SD6 3 - SJB Colt 1911 (Suppressed) but enough of the senseless plugs. 4 - M4A1 Elcan/Acog 5 - Core M24
  11. I just thought I'd mention a large-scale weapons pack I have been working on for quite some time. The pack will contain approximately 130 weapons upon completion ranging from handguns, sub-machineguns and assault rifles, to anti-tank weapons, shotguns and sniper-rifles. A (slightly outdated and as a result incomplete) list of weapons that will be part of the pack can be found over at http://sjb.gotf.net/vbs1_addons/weapons_pack/index.html. Also, a few images of the weapons can been seen there too, but those are quite old (as they were taken in one of the very first play-tests within VBS1, so a
  12. The weapons will probably work with a simple dePBO and rePBO (as they're currently packed into a 'Resistance PBO' which as you probably already knjow wont work with VBS). The units will work, but will look very strange as the head model is for OFP, and as such, has the OFP face textures mapped to it, so the VBS face textures wont map correctly.
  13. http://sjb.gotf.net/vbs1_addons/seals/imag...uppGunM82A1.jpgThe pbulic BETA (for OFP), which is by now over 1 year old, is available from my site as you have already discovered. The new (VBS compatible) version (pictures of which can be seen below), will be available shortly (a matter of weeks). The units require a few minor tweaks and then simply need testing. The weapons still need some code tweaks, and the SPRs need coding from scratch. It'll be done, when its done Right now, here are a few images, which you may (or may not have) seen on the vbsresources.com forums. Anyway, here are
