  1. well i think i am giving up i did the following a few hours ago: uninstall the norton 2005.. disable xp firewall and dmz my computer ip on the linksys i also disable the firewall on the linksys. added ports 2346-48 udp and tcp on the windows firewall and even check hte firewall log: #Version: 1.5 #Software: Microsoft Windows Firewall #Time Format: Local #Fields: date time action protocol src-ip dst-ip src-port dst-port size tcpflags tcpsyn tcpack tcpwin icmptype icmpcode info path 2005-05-06 23:50:10 OPEN UDP 192.168.3.102 66.176.18.233 1213 2348 - - - - - - - - - 2005-05-06 2
  2. i have disabled the firewall in XP and the firewall for norton 2005 we are able to see the game made but when one of us tries to join the game room it says "downloading from server" then it takes us to the multiplayer screen again kicking us out of the room. i installed ghost recon then desert siege then island thunder then i applied patch 1.4 i have port fowarding enabled for both routers, my friends and mine (linksys). i thought i was doign something wrong i am suspecting incompatibility so i guess i am going to try to reinstall ghost recon again on both PCs this is super annoying caus
  3. i have opened ports 2346-2349 on my linksys router my friend and i can connect but when he enters the room its says "downloading from server" OR is it "downloading server data" well the point is that when my friend joins it gives him that and it stays there at that screen. even if he host the game and i connect its the same problem. he has 4mb cable and i have 3mb dsl.i dont kno whats wrong. does any one has any suggestions... thank you
