Okay we have got a movie quotes thread going on, and as I am feeling jealous because I hardly ever watch films, I thought I would start a song lyrics thread. Probably easy if you know it, and nigh on impossible if you don't. But thats life ain't it? Your starter for ten, not too difficult: "But that's the way I like it baby, I don't wanna live for ever" Feel free to post you own lyrics in with your answer.

I don't think it is about being subtle, or anything like that, as I've said before its how the people you are working with/for, e.g. the Iraqi/Afgan/Irish people see you. You walk around looking mean, you are less approachable. Walk around with a smile, and you usually will make more friends.

When XP was firsted released this was a big problem, like everytime you turn it on it gives you that message. However, one of the first XP windows updates sorted out a lot of the problems. To really ignore them go to Control Panel/System/Advanced and then click Error Reporting. Like most things, if you ignore them, they go away.

And if you blew it up in the previous MP game, it will stay blown up in the next one! Sweet mother of God those game makers are getting clever. They want my money. I shall let them have my money in return for their goods. Everything is okay in my head. Thanking you.

Oh that reminds me, my Iraqi Info minister t-shirt still hasn't arrived. I get the feeling that when it does turn up it will be like the old Smiths song "That joke ain't funny anymore". Perhaps I'll just pass it off as post moderistic irony. Yeah, that'll do it.

Xavier, I thought that the water would sit on the top of the brass monkey, and when it froze, the piramid above would move/rise causing the balls to move as well, sending them all over the umm you know, *insert suitable nautical term here*. The monkey terminology is probably (and I am making a educated guess) a term for something like a lowly servant or worker, although in this case applied to an object. "Powder Monkeys" on the ship, usually 10-14 year old boys carried the gun powder to each of the cannons during a battle. Kids today don't know they are born....

Here we go again... I think most people realised that the British Forces in Iraq had clearly done a better job at "hearts and minds" than the US forces, it just all comes down to attitude towards other people. If you are smiley happy while wandering the streets looking for snipers rather than looking a bit miserable then I'm sure people will have a better attitude back towards you. Avey hit the nail on the head

Heck, the US army sound lucky. We send out Clare Sweeny, Geri Halliwell, Jim Davidson and Rick Waller. On the other hand it does get them fired up for killing.

So you're playing permantly with close air support. That's not fair greetings c6 lmao

Nice montage. Well I hope its a montage. I live near 3 American airbases. I might not sleep much tonight.

Chess (got out of that one before it turned ugly)

To all the English in our Green and Pleasant Land, Happy St Georges Day. Strange that it hardly gets celebrated (esp when compared to St Patricks). Oh well. And did those feet In ancient times Walk among Englands mountain green...

I never like to see a web site get hacked as I know the time/effort that goes into them, however big or small. But that one made me smile. She had something coming. Anyone heard that "rap" in American Life? What a load of self indulgent crap. As for her cover of American Pie, now that really deserved a kicking. magnumKP: Bringing violence to the stars.

Yeah I agree with HiLandR to. I play to odd bit of PSone every now and then if I can't be bothered to plug in, boot up, install, patch and configure a new game. I wish PC games were as easy to play (i.e. install) as the consoles. I started on a MegaDrive, then saved up for a Sega Saturn (what a fool I was, bought 5 games for it. It sucked). Now I;ve inherited a PSone which is still great. Buy a few games at £5/£10 each and keep you happy for hours. Granted a PC is so much more useful, but for out of the box playability consoles have a lot going for them. Makes me question why I've shelled out

What, get scurvy, live in a small mud hut, and have to pay high taxes to the Sheriff? Also some food involving turnips wouldn't go amiss.

Cos you look so cool in a tux, and once shot some Russian cos he called you comrade?

So who thinks this will cause a huggeee outcry from not just BF1942 MP's, but all other MP's games, whether they be flying sims, or FPS? But, surely all this will mean is that I will edit the original RSB's to get round the problem. How can you detect that, other than if all install dates aren't the same? I think it will make cheating harder to detect.

Having never played with either of these people, I do feel rather left out, but hey that's life. What I want to know is what makes a good player Great. I've reached a plauteux in my gaming, where I appear to have stopped getting better. I've been playing about 6 months now and usually do better than some, but there are people I regularly play with who get double the kills what I do. I know all the maps, and spawns, etc but.... God, I sound like some whining kid. I'll shut up now. Any advice greatfully recieved, and ps any news on the GR.net server?

Ouch. Crosses legs. My friend always runs a 15inch desk fan next to his. It works very well.

Wow. That is cool. Come fly with YodaSplat airways. In the event of an emergency scream really loudly. I always fancied having a go at being a helicopter pilot, and having just watched Treasure Hunt. If i get Suzi Perry in my co-pilot seat I'll be well chuffed.

I think there are 3 versions currently banging about. I think the latest version is using a lower score for a reason complelty unknown to me (version 2003 iirc). The test is really a way to compare the 3d 'ness of a computer, by running exactly the same thing on all the different computers. The "better" it runs, the higher the mark, which you probably knew already. Check out madonion.com for more details. (And to brag like a kid with a new toy, my new one has a benchmark of 14,000 .)

My new computer arrives in under a week.... , but now I have "The power" (i.e. 14,000 in a 3d benchmark according to the reviews) I need a coupla questions answered. Is Raven Shield worth it if I am only going to play single player? (If I get there quick I get a free balaclava! No, really, it has raven shield written where the mouth is.) And the same with Battlefield 1942 (apart from the Balaclava bit). I think I've got enough war games for now, so what else should I get (and not The Sims, or Sim City or any of those games that take ages and ages I get bored.) Flight sim maybe? F1 game?

I've got a dualplay 128mb kit, which is sooooo cool, because you can whack it in a tape deck if you don't have a cd player in your car. Find some stuff on it here: (and the best price, and most fantastic service you have ever got from a dot.com. Really, I can't praise these guys enough) http://www.mp3players.co.uk -
Yes I remember them both. All too clearly. Hence the bashing. Head over to football365.com store for some Phoenix Nights t-shirts. Still love his joke where the midgets get of the mini bus and the bouncer squint at them, and says to his mate "How far away are they?" lmao.
