I got meself a 2mb line at work, and 56k at home. It kills me everytime I dial up and see a mod or file to download, even wallpapers make you think twice. But yes these forums are pretty quick its just waiting for everyones signature to get downloaded. I blame php as well.

My longest was 1 hour 58 minutes. Then my ISP cuts me off, and 9 times out of 10 I can't be bothered to turn it back on. (35 hours? You should enter one of those touch the truck competitions or something, but you can't have mountain dew.)

Big bump on this topic, but I was reading about the Summerhill School. http://www.summerhillschool.co.uk This is a democratic school run by the children and the teachers. Both have equal say. If you want to go to lessons, then go to lessons. If you don't then play outside. I agree with you Ruin. People are all out for excuses at the moment. Look at the amount of "have you had an accident" insurance on the tv at the moment. Blame is also popular. Most rural areas don't have it (like me, yes, I'm a carrot crunching toss-pot) and even some larger towns have only very recently got it. Our only choice is ISDN or wireless stuff by air (which some idiot has just introduced to my fair village, thus allowing BT to hold off even longer.) But how long before adsl users start to lag in games as they (the makers) have too much information to upload/download? Guess I'll just have to wait...., and wait....., and wait......

I hope GR2 is 56k friendly, but I won't hold my breathe (I'd be holding it for a long time). But, surely making it 56k friendly is better for everyone? It shows time and effort has gone into making games more accesible for the majority of the population, thus more people getting into these games, creating better communities and mods.
