No I haven't had to so far, touch wood, but 2 of my friends spent an hour on the phone trying to return items. I guess they were doing it wrong. Bloody students.

It is a nice jar though.

I know some people have had trouble returning stuff to dabs, but apart from that it seems okay. Depends what stuff you are after. Some of the specialist shops you can get bigger discounts. Google is your friend, but remember that the e-com stores that come near the top often have vast amounts of money spent on search engineering and positioning so go down a few pages and you might get it cheaper. Also try google.co.uk and select the uk pages only should help. As soon as they make a UK Froogle version I'm there! I just stick to 2 good stores and bought from 2 specialist stores(Amazon/Dabs/

You shouldn't to change anything for 56k, but be prepared to be booted out of a few servers . I've been playing some of the hostage rescue (SAR) on the Battalion Command server, its a bit run and gun with 5 respawns but it can be a nice diversion.

What are these new style computer game cases all about? You know the ones you pull out of a cardboard surround and then have to undo the folder in the middle? It takes ages to do that. And those big box sets they now do, e.g. the Operation Flashpoint game of the year edition came in a box big enough for a video, and you open it you get a manual and three discs in transparent wallets. Arggghh. Don't game makers realise that I only have a limited desk space? I'm going to have to rent a garage to put the blinking boxes in. I know they have to be eye catching on the shelf, but this is just a watse

Just installed and played for the last 1 1/2 hours. I read Maximums review and I agree. It is a lot like GTA 3 just some tweaks to the missions and the general guns and cars as you would expect. If piloting the helicopter is better than the bikes it is going to be "helluva" good. So far I'm really enjoying it, but I've bought 4 games in the last month and completed one of them (Splinter Cell) so perhaps for now I'll put this one on the bottom of the pile (on my new desk the other one had started to bow under weight of the monitor )

Great topic. Now, lets book a week off work so I can finish it properly. I'm sure they will understand.

I love that mission. I keep going back and try and kill everyone, before I shoot Baradov or whatever his name is. Yes once you get the hang of it is quick, but how many other maps give you that sort of vantage point from which to pop some caps?

Picked this game up at lunch, and read the manual. How cool is that radio settings. Spandaux Ballet? Sweet! I haven't installed it yet but it is so going to rock. If it doesn't then I hold it against all members of GR.net who implied it was good. I'll have to add make some wallpapers. And thank god you get a motocycle. (Does anyone else own all the GTA series? I've got 1 and 2 for the PSone, and used to own GTA3 for the PC and now I got Vice City?)

Cheers, I'm learning something new everyday thanks to GR.net. Which is worrying. I come here to relax. All I get is more information, pushing the old, though still useful information out.... Argggh.... Oh thanks.

Slightly off topic, but I got overtaken at a roundabout my an Aston Martin DB7 Vanquish last Friday. He pulled along side, and I hoped I would get the full roar of the 460bhp engine as he set off. Sadly he just carried on cruising mucho disappointmento. (don't know what a vanquish is? Shame on you. Check here http://www.astonmartin.com/html/vanquish.html) I thought I knew about cars but in this case I'm with stupid. Its got to be an American engine as we don't call them "blocks" but thats where my guessing ends. I know that some of the 1960's Jag's (? I think it was a Jag, it was on Top

That'll be Desert Siege and Island Thunder respectively. These are excellent expansion packs which a lot of the servers on ASE require. magnumKP's tip is to play all the maps you have, and even set up your own multiplayer game with only you playing so you know that maps and hidey holes. The go online and

I got Ross Noble in a hat

Its only easy if you know how to do it. It takes some time to realise you don't have to kill all the patrols, although is something to do while you are waiting (but they will then be alerted to your presences and rockets will come flying at you). The first few times I shot him I was being extracted by heli and it said mission failed hostages killed. So I tried again, but got the people in the back of the truck first to make it a little easier. It was a bit of hack, but it worked. Haven't played this map in mp yet but I know where I want to spawn.

If you can pull this off: Then you've passed your test. Welcome aboard. (previously posted by Tollen) So all we need now is a chef, cleaner and a navigator, although the last one isn't essential I s'pose.

Anyone know why the stars and stripes are mirrored on American uniforms? I.e. the stars are on the right.
-
Front page of GR.net? You'll have to see if Rocky wants to put them there.
-
I hate online shopping, it is far to easy. I just spent £50 at Amazon on music and GTA Vice City, and i haven't finished RvS yet, let alone been able to master VOR navigation in FS2002. Thats a great game, have you tried the follow up? Thats good as well.

Only 2,751,452 of your finest English pounds. I've just had a great idea, why not do the Isle of Wight Cowes race? It might take a little while but it would be soooooo cool. We could then dock at Portsmouth. Rocky can wear the Captains hat. YodaSplat can run his newly formed airline service off it (have you got onto carrier landings yet?). and I'll just run about going "£^$£ me this is so cool" all day long. Now we just have to find jobs for the other 2000 or so of you. Post your position requests below.

You can blame zjj for that. Mindblowing information everyday. Its like being in school, only you don't have to wear trousers if you don't want to.

I've got the Iraqi info minister t-shirt but most people either don't know who he is or think its the Che Guevara one

Thanks guys, I've fixed the Knock Knock one. (It is the worst of the bunch though) All the Ghost Recon ones were using a 32mb Nvidia TNT Riva, apart from the Frostbite and the Camp one. I just set everything to High, and put up with the lag. Luckily all the others were using a spangly new Raedon 9700.
