I don't know, but my friend had a problem with his pc and he had a new 20 metre cable, moved it nearer and it worked. I can't help you any further I'm afraid.

I heard of his resignation in PC Gamer this month, so thanks for digging out the post.
Seems quite surprising that he would drop it all just before (I say just before, still not sure of the release date) it is due out. It's not as though it's some unknown no mark game, it's one of the hottly tipped game for the year. He must have been pretty annoyed.

20m cord is pretty long, and it is a physical cable and as with all physical cables the further away the weaker the signal. Before you chuck it out make sure there are no snags or kinks (not the band, you would notice having Dave Davies on the line) or anywhere there is pressure on it. If the cord is the only thing you have changed then it is 75% likely that is what is causing it.

I have a Canon PowerShot A70.....its great...the resolution is amazing....gotta dig up a few photos....
I've got that one, prettty cheap now as they released the A80 (which has a ever so slightly higher spec, like a fold out screen and a higher res). It is a good little camera, and fits in my pocket.
I just bought a secondhand Canon EOS 3 with 28-135 USM IS lens which is film based as I can't afford getting a proper digital kit, and all digital camera prices drop so quickly (especially at the high end of the market). I know I might be waiting years for them to stabilise, but at least I will have a decent Canon kit which won't drop 90% of its price, in fact might hold about 70-80% if not more.
(I also own a Pentax MZ50, Kershaw King Pengiun (takes 127 film), and an Agfa Isolette (120 film I think, never used it) And 2 disposable cameras, one for my rucksack and one is always in the car. Is that enough? Maybe I should have one at work as well...)

Yeah, I tried them once and never did get a connection, I was just checking NM hadn't OD'ed on w00tabix and had the same trouble I had.
