  1. Just having a look at my logs for the last 4 days to check something, and this site: http://www.avidgamers.com/welcomeback/ was using one of my wallpapers as a background image. It was 110k everytime someone loaded it. So I changed it. It would work better on a faster computer than the 800mhz 256mb one I'm currently using.

Talking of wallpapers, if anyone wants a wallpaper from my site, make it quick. I'm making more and more flash stuff and a load of other stupid image and it takes up a huge amount of space so that side of my site is disappearing next week (only the splinter cell ones are d/loaded regularly. I'll also be removing the mod promo files as well.

  2. See if you can pay by cheque. It's possible, although you will have to wait the 5 days it takes to clear into their account. Give the company a call.

As for credit cards, I've got a Visa. However, what only matters is the interest you pay on the money loaned to you if you do not pay it back quick enough. Doesn't bother me as I pay it off straight away and I usually use my debit card. A debit card the money goes straight out of your account (unless you haven't got the funds in their and you get the embarassing pause and then "I'm sorry sir but I am unable to debit your account").

It is possible you have to be over 18 to own a credit or debit card, which is why they introduced Solo cards (and in turn is why they are not that widely supported). Speak to your one of the nice people in the bank, or arrange a short appointment and you can sign up there and then.

  3. My computer is from MESH and it is okay. No problems apart from the 28 days I had to wait for it to be delivered. And then at midday on the friday it was to be delivered they called saying it hadn't gone out that day and I had to wait until Monday.

To be honest I don't know of any company that accepts Solo cards any more, and over the last few years I've worked with a few. Even the ones that can accept it, often don't mention it on their web site as usually they are owned by kids.

Get yourself a proper credit/debit card, it will make life much easier. (he says looking at this months credit card bill).

  4. Nah, go here: http://www.bt.com/broadband/bb_info.jsp?ta...K&obsNoSee=true

Click your area on the map and find out.

Not all Exchanges are being upgraded in August, butI think BT have said that all exchanges will be upgraded (which they haven't said before). There is probably something about it on their news page http://62.172.198.79/broadband1/update/index.asp They have certainly change the above map about so you can't see how many more people need to register to get it. I think it is just coincidence that me and Supa are getting it in the same month. I have seen an exchange upgrade as late as 07/05 (and that was a few months ago, they had clearly got loads of signatures and then get told they have to wait well over a year).
