Ok mate thanks, i will be back on tonight to see if i can get it to run better i know its difficult, especially during what is the early evening over here and so the busiest time for the net, so i expect it probably has more to do with the connections over here than your servers but i appreciate the offer it may be enough to make a difference..

Ah, ok mate maybe i will drop in again tonight and see if its any better for me, it was a damn shame i had to drop because the games were good, although, and its just an observation, with the FF on please watch out for crossing in front of people because several times i was just about to open fire when someone would wander across my field of view and i had to back off, which ended up with both of us getting killed by the enemy guy i was about to fire on, i don't know what's worse, getting "timed out" for a tk, or getting killed by someone you saw but couldn't attack...

Thanks for the games guys but i had to bail after a few because i was lagging all over the maps, suddenly leaping across open ground when i wasn't moving and when i opened fire there was a delay before anything happened which made things tricky, plus all the usual lag glitches you normally expect including tk's galore because people would suddenly appear in front of me after i had opened fire even away from the spawn. Having the friendly fire on is a good idea but if you are getting that much lag it takes a lot of the fun out of it when you are killing your team mates on a regular basis..

Yes mate it certainly looks like it went very well, and if the server is going to setup on the same lines then i will drop in there and see if we draw a crowd .. I will be about this week if everyone is planning on a rematch..

I know what you mean Rocky.. As you know i was playing in there quite a bit before i started back to work so i haven't been in there for about a week now but i was starting to get a bit tired of the excessive admin of certain rules, particularly the crouch rule, when someone new would join and before they had a chance to see what was going on they would be bombarded with abuse and swearing from the TSG admins because they hadn't done something they wanted done quick enough. But they didn't seem to mind the constant fragging of spawn areas and general frag fest that some games deteriorat

I know my comment about camping is a dodgy one just because imo everyone does it at some point, i know that sometimes i luck upon a good position and i'm loathed to leave it just because the other side keep coming through the same gap i have covered and can't get a good bead on me, or as you say you have to cover a position etc and to keep moving around just gives away your position. As you know Rocky i have spent most of my recent gaming time in the TSG server and despite the fact that it is a better style of gameplay for me personally there are a few points i wanted to bring up for discussion to see what other people think since i know you want to start a similar server type. The main issue that i have is that a rule is enforced that requires you to adopt the crouching position and therefore slows the game down considerably but there is no restriction on people just camping/sniping who wait for everyone else to attempt to capture flags/Hq's etc and then pick them off

I know exactly what you mean mate, i have to have a little break every hour or so if i'm playing just to return my blood pressure to somewhere near normal levels..

I would say that if you are just starting out you probably have a better chance of having fun and learning the ways of the game on this type of server than on a standard one which are usually fast and furious..

Thanks for dropping in Tricky and explaining a bit more about your setup. I think anyone whose played on your server a couple of times can see how the crouching creates a more tactical environment the questions tend to be related to the finer details such as: Can i sprint into cover before i come under fire to cross an open area ? Can i stand to look/fire over a wall etc when i am not moving ? Can i go prone before i take a shot even if i am not sniping or when i have been engaged and want to return fire can i drop to the prone as i do so ? What are the rules on the use of gren

I hope not either mate because that's pretty much what i do as well if i get the chance that is lol. They are mainly concerned that people play the game in the spirit if the rules, so as long as your not crawling around all the time or running everywhere i think that's what matters most, but i will ask them to clarify a few of the points..

I have been discussing their opinion on when you can sprint Rocky and it seems that any time you are under threat you can sprint into cover, not so sure about prone since i have been killed plenty of times by people sniping from prone, i'm sure that they just dont want people running/walking all the time or diving to a prone or jumping whenever they get fired upon, but i know they are discussing the current rules so maybe they will post a more comprehensive list when they are finished.
