I'm not sure if its the patch or the game but i know i can still watch myself getting killed in the deathcam and it bears very little relation to what actually happened from my perspective, but to be honest i have sort of become used to it now, even if i don't like it

Lol, i put the file into my main folder and played a few games last night with no problems but i dont really know if or when the skin will appear, iv'e not see it yet ..

I get the "server has timed out" message repeatedly at different times of the day, and as Rocky said i see quite a few PB kick messages so something must be playing up with the servers..

Hmm, I wonder if we could convince SPARTA to configure one of their servers to a passworded 1v1 plant the bomb game type with a 5 or 6 map rotation, each map repeated maybe 5 times so we can figure out which maps it works best with. If it works out we could hold a mini competition.
Any chance SPARTA?

I don't suppose you've got around to getting x-fire yet? it seems to be even more popular amongst the CoD 4 , at least that way i can see when your up for a game..
I suppose one of could always host a passworded game and then the other join if none of the servers can accommodate..

Lol i agree mate, there are a few maps that work really well with a 1v1 format even deathmatch style, i'll have to give this a shot..

I don't know if you had a chance to try this yet Rocky but i went through it again and took a different path, here are few screenies to show where i put myself which is pretty much on the lead guys left heel, and i don't need to move left or right while the troops and armour are going past.
There is a quick taste of what follows as well just to prove i made it.

Its the most tense mission i have played in any game for years, all i did was follow the lead sniper and as soon as i saw the troops and armour i moved across to my left towards the two trees and laid behind the first tree moving very very slowly to my left or right tiny amounts to keep from being trod on.
Good luck mate it gets even better once you get past that part..

LMAO, that's me down to a "T" Rocky, I see them at what i think is the same time they see me, or even before them sometimes and i open fire only to end up in a bloody pool whimpering on the floor

I agree Rocky, a couple of the small ones "bog" etc do my head in when people bother to snipe in them but overall for the size of the maps i think they are pretty good and look excellent.
Looking forward to some bigger maps in the future though definitely..

This is the newer model with the square headphones but i was using these for years and they are excellent both in sound quality and comms, i expect you can find some of the round headphones version if you look about, not sure if the older model would be cheaper or not..

Lol, thanks mate, i only jumped in TS quickly to see who was about and then i shot off to bed, and i agree, i think my poor showing was due more to my inexperience than any lag but at least i can only get better..

Lol thanks you seemed to be doing a good job in there,
i did jump on their TS but i didn't see you in there mate. I didn't stay too long my ping was about 190 and i was emptying magazines of the LMG into people without them dying while i was getting bumped off with one or two rounds, i know there are "perks" that can make a difference and i had a couple on but it didn't seem to help so i tried the "Bulldog" clan server with a lower ping and it seemed a lot better, i will jump in again and see how i get on, but definitely a good bunch in the Sparta server, thanks all.

I did try to play about with that mate but as you say it's either on or off, maybe there's a cfg file somewhere that you can tweak to adjust the setting?
