  1. Nice Post M8, and true, but you didn't mention that there are people still interested enought in GR to start moding, I know im one :D I only picked up max a few months ago but i did so out of a disire to create things for the GR community, and things that will be for all the community to use not just a select few mods :o which i thing has been part of the problem of late  I know anything a make will be released to the community for free use as long as i get a mention in the credits. I can honestly say that im not going to go away i will be trying to mod GR even if its for my own use but aslong as there is a forum for GR players i will be posting up anyhting i come up with. Dont get me wrong im not trying to say im a GR saviour :o Im just trying to do my little bit for the community

Keep the faith GR still Lives

  3. I have had succes with this using a program called "JUKE BOX" it has a line-in facility and the option to record from the line-in sorce. I used a double ende jack lead from the head phone socket on me hi-fi which i attached a second hand turn table and attached the other end to the line-in jack on the sound card. Juke box has an auto cue that will start recording when it detects the sound from the record, but i found this to be a bit finiky so i started the recordings manualley. The results were very good and i was also able to clean up the recording a bit using a sound editing program. :D I did about 40 7" singles and 12 albums  Hope this helps

  4. I got a little update.

My written exams are finished now so I'm back at modding. The equipment part is ~95% done, there's some minor things that need to be fixed.

    Thanks for the update

  5. Well TBH, I don`t know anyone who beta tested the SP Campaign the way it should be played. Lot`s of issues arose in there, that were not picked up by multiplayer testing.

Also i recall spending months testing too. But not once did we run around the map invisible, were all the shadow bugs started to appear, only when you went looking for them in all the out of bounds areas and so.

This thread is just trying to make Centcom stable for all, nothing else. I can`t disagree with any recent posts, but also i have nothing futher to add, besides 1 last stab at a patch.

    Tinker

    :)

    I agree

i spent a lot of time with Jay and other members of the GRnet Team testing the MP but i didn't (and cant remember anybody else say they had) tested it in a full SP campaign.

  6. As few as possible. As with almost any situation, there's no hard and set polycount. Modders have gone way above what GR originally used, but it's never really wise to waste tris.

I haven't done vehicle stuff in a while, but if memory serves 2-4 thousand would be a good range, considering the kind of poly usage modern modders have gotten into.

cool, thanks  The truck im working on stands at 4750 poly's and its just about ready to texture, so thats not to bad :D
