  1. Im running a different monitor now. I think i;ve always had this problem though. GR is fine, even with everything maxed out. Ive been through all the DX tests. Posting was my last resort as i didn't wanna seem like a divvy Its worse with Raven Shield, i can see someone at the edge of the screen, but when i look full on them to shoot they vanish in fog! Ill try disabling AA and AF.
  2. Ive tried lots of different Nvidia drivers, i used to have the same problem with my old PC which had a GFTi4400 128Mb. I think its a problem with DirectX, but i had the same problem running DX8 to. The image quality and performance are superb. Its just annoying that the sides of the image, especially in RvS and Morrowind, have a greater depth of view. This makes me think its the way DX draws the image. I dunno
  3. Why do the gfx either side of my screen seem nice and clear yet in the centre are all foggy? And how do i change it? Ive got a GFTI4600 with 43.45 drivers. Do i need one of those tweak tools to change the direct X settings, ( as i guess thats whats causing the problem, drawing from the top left or something). Any help would be great. Oh, im running DX9.0a to. Cheers
  4. I got 2 monitors working ok with my GF4Ti4400, using NView. But I found that games seemed to lose FPS on my "game monitor". That was using the new Detonator drivers, 43.45, not sure about the other drivers.
  5. Because you don't need a pile of updates just to get it to work for starters, and if i had the sense i'd go back to 98SE anyway...but i can't be fussed.
  6. Na, ME dosn't have a built in Firewall, i have got a software one...Zonealarm..but even with that off i'm still getting no joy. Even tried unselecting it in msconfig so when i boot its not even loaded. Maybe its something in the Reg itself....bloody hell...wish i'd been good at sports and didn't have to get my kicks killing my mates in GR and OFP By the way...thanks for replying...makes me feel warm inside...knew this was a new place to post
  7. Expansion first, snowy forests and lots of tense indoor action And then GR2, with a twist i think Body armour and camo choices in the kit selection would be nice, and how about the points system being altered to reflect the individuals playing style. If you wanna go in Rambo style, your stealth options decrease and your endurance increases...that sorta thing..as you increase in one style of play, options inherent to that form become available whereas others disappear...just a thought...not strictly RPG but could add a new slant on SP..not to mention importing your fav playing style to MP
  8. I normally use a router to connect all my PCs at home in a network. But its to much hassle to sort out all the port addresses i need to host the various games i play. So i usually just disconnect the router, plug my games PC into the modem and reboot, reset ye'old' winipcfg and off i go. Only problem is now i can't host anything!! I get a response if i ping myself but no-one can connect to my IP. It all started the other day when i had to do a partial restore because of some crappy NVidia stereo driver messing up my Reg,(which i'm guessing is where the root of the problem lays). I had to perfo
  9. Thats exactly how i finished the mission It works everytime...just make sure you're ready for any reinforcements
  10. I'm a noob to GR,and having come from Operation Flashpoint I can't get used to the fog during the GR missions,( something that was only used for effect in OFP). Is there any way i can get rid of it? I understand its part of the gfx engine and that in MP it could be used to get an unfair advantage but I don't really see the need for it in SP.Thanks for any help..BTW what a cool game, I'm definitely converted from OFP
