Greetings,
Have read and heeded much advice on this forum page. Did a Complete un-install. Just re-installed GR Gold - GR disk then disk 2. Installed Patch 1.3 successfully. Installing patch 1.4 gave the msg - "an earlier version already exists." So, I tried to run it anyway (I know, I know) and the screen goes black and a motorboat sounds beats out through the speakers.
I am anxious to play this thing and sure will appreciate the help. Here is the DxDiag info:
