[Four way split screen]

I have the xbox version and  I cant seem to make it do the four man splitscreen. Is the fourman only on system link and Xbox live? Yes I have four controllers attached and profiles to match. Can any one help?

To answer my own question ....yes you can play four way split screen on local play by using multiplayer ..then instead of coop..use squad..
