The notorious quote...... "It's better to keep ya mouth shut and allow others to assume you are stupid than to open it and remove all doubt"...... ....comes immediately to mind Toker m8 hehehehe !!!!

Doesn't this one just about cover that emotion hehehe !

Hehehe...... Yeh have had N4S III - Hot Pursuit for ages, it's a bit lacking tho but is damn good for a laff I agree rofl (it's gettin on a bit that one tho lol, so ya can't ask too much of it)...... N4S - Hot pursuit II (slightly different series with the Hot Pursuit being before the numerals to the other one) being newer is a little better put together and certainly more of a laff too!! Some funny touches too it and a degree more functionality etc to it too ! Hone ya Rally skills for Rallisport too if ya thinking of it, but it's got me bloody hooked lol, it's not like any of the N4

LOL @ Nightcrawler......I had to laff when I read ya post hehehe.....Because I thought Nascar sucked rofl......but we all have our own likes and dislikes lol !! Found a way of improving Rallisport after some eventual fiddling tho......The wheel I have is one of the Thrustmaster FFB's and I've just set the centering spring strength lower than it was as default (but that worked well with other games) and check it to "default on for all games" option for when I play Rallisport......Next totally taken all sensitivity away from the wheel in the Rallisport controller options and set a larger dead

Wot OS you running??? It's a preference thing lol, but, I prefer to edit or create new kits using Notepad anyway and not Igor for that kinda thing, have you tried doing it that way ???? If ya don't like doing it like that it's at least an option till you track down the problem anyway !

Just wonderin if anyone has it and finds it really hard to play with a steering wheel?? Some reviewers allege that cos the game was made for X-Box and was then just consolidated for the PC version that the controller ports are the same or something like that, this makes the steering at times uncontrollable on the PC ! It's a shame cos it's a stunning game other than that, just wondering if anyone has found any little fixes to make the steering better etc lol????

Hotdog...... Have you got a Gigabyte Mo'bo out of interest???

Its like playing GR for the first time ...
Urban_Tiger replied to calius's topic in GR (PC) - General Discussion
Hehehehe, It makes one hell of a difference doesn't it ! When I got this game I was using an Elsa Gladiac 516 Ti 64mb (stuck at AGP x2 cos of the old Mobo too lol), things were ok'ish but not spectacular....In went this card and geeees what a difference ! -
Have you tried hosting a game by direct IP without going thru UBI with the behind Firewall box checked??? Try that first and if you can get that to work then work on UBI afterwards!! Is this Firewall Software or Hardware too (such as a router etc)??

Hehehe, I've modded the Muzzle Flash and Tracer Frequency on a couple of weapons, mainly for fun with the guys I usually play online with but it does make it look kinda cool lol (although I've probably modded them to an unrealistic scale, but it's only a game rofl). It's really simple to do and the <tags> you'll need to change are below, you'll probably spot them straight away once you look in there anyway tho ! Open the .gun file of the weapon you'd like to mod using Notepad, (the example tags below are the numbers from the SA80).....The file will be full of <command tags>

Thanx NGRU Crazy1....Finally got round to messing with it and your method works spot on and got them working very quickly ! If I'd have gone thru it trying to do it by trial and error I'd have probably got there but it would have taken time, so you have saved me a lot of that and it's muchly appreciated hehehe !

Must be summat I have scripted then..... Most do work as previously said, but some enemy that I've messed with to do certain things (several plans or actions etc) haven't carried them all out if I have been in Superman mode for example, if I tried it using the method described above they did what they were scripted to do!! Weird!!! I'll have to see if I can re-create it if I get some spare time inbetween working on other stuff and then show it to you and you'll see what I mean then !

Another handy way is to start a game in LAN Multiplayer mode (that way you can use the respawns when ya die which ya don't get in straight forward Single Player to keep looking about etc)!! I do that at times for testing cos often when you use the Superman modes etc from the console, the enemy don't react as they would normally which can impair the reactions of the enemy etc and they won't move or do the same things as they would otherwise, which kinda makes some testing using console commands irrelevant! Don't get me wrong, the console commands are damn handy for seeing where you have p

LOL Stinger...... I wasn't comparing it to the P4's, it was just FYI after you asked what sort of temps they could be run at.....I've run it outta the cupboard for the last 48 hours and it is running slightly cooler as thought, the cupboard in question is completely enclosed so effectively it's just circulating the same air and it does get warmish in there hehehe, I just open the door periodically to vent it rofl...Am gonna drill some vent holes in it anyway as it's not ideal but also not doing any harm lol!! Now 28 C idle.......34 medium load and now maxing at 38 with fan speed set to l

Does sound like either incompatibility or they have been fried from static or summat unfortunately m8 !
-
If I took the case out of the cupboard (no doubt that the cupboard itself retains some of the warm airflow with it actually being in there lol)...... ......Then it would probably idle in the high twenties and max out at the mid thirties! Keeping it in a cupboard may not be ideal but seeing as it's not getting over 44 C then in there it will stay lol!! The case also supports switching fan speeds, they are currently running at low speed too (average 3000rpm), if I put them up to high (5000rpm) it would be cooler still, so with the right setup an XP2400+ can be run extremely cool all told S

The Asus boards are great for that WhiteKnight, extremely useful for updates and although it may sound like a bit of trivia overall, for those people who have never flashed their BIOS before and it's something that they may need to do it can be a pretty scary process for them lol, that takes the stress out of doing that . This Gigabyte I'm using at the moment also has that facility and also has the Dual-BIOS redundancy should the main BIOS go down too, that's pretty handy too. 50/50 whether I'd go Asus or Gigabyte when I upgrade in the future as both are awesome......Would probably go with

They are right Nitemare hehehe....... The exact name of the file you want is ---> brfg-map.rsb <--- and it can be found ---> \Ghost Recon\Mods\Mp2\Briefings <--- ! U havin a bad hair day m8 lol????

At idle I average around 34 for both CPU and system. At a medium load around 39 for both CPU and system. At a high load it hasn't gone over 44.....It's not O'clocked at all, I have tested the temps with a CPUBurn util to see if I could get it to overheat in anyway but it wouldn't get over 44 lol. The case I have certainly makes a huge difference as it has tons of fans with the downside of it sounds like a Spitfire starting up next to ya hehehe....Nah it's not that bad really.......The suprising thing about it all being that cool is my case is inside a cupboard too lol. Got fed up wit

I have a very very similar system to Snakebite (quite by accident as I built this before I used this forum lol) and so far (touch wood) I haven't had any instability problems at all with hardware or software. I do keep up on general maintanance like defregging etc and it does a make the difference. The only issue I have had was with the Logitech mouse which I posted about, that was mainly in GR too not everywhere. Basically the wheel was working but it wasn't smooth or at times moved involuntarily....I just swapped it over from the PS/2 port to USB instead and it's 100% again ! We all

Hehehe, My view will probably be biased as I had to wear the stuff, obviously whilst in the forces. Before Soldier 95 was implemeted I actually prefered the American kit and the look of it, but once we received the Soldier 95 kit it looked a whole lot better and has a better layout for getting to pockets and pouches etc too lol!! Even the boots were changed as well as many other little things down to minor details and it improved the kit 100% without a doubt! We did some testing on exercises just messing about with the kit, we'd send some guys off into the woods wearing a mix of both

If you are completely new to it then the first thing you want to do is visit the Igor for Dummies website and get reading. After that, some experimentation, and obviously if you need more help then ask away lol ! As for your immediate question on saving. If are looking at modifying an existing mission then be sure to back them up first incase you want to revert to the original, or use the "Save As" function to give it a seperate name which is the best way anyway TBH. If you use "Save As" it will save the file directly into the \Ghost Recon folder and it will just be a file with a num

Getting Breifing Pictures With Paint Shop Pro
Urban_Tiger replied to hypopibb's topic in GR - Mission Modding
The trial of 3dsMAX is sent to you by CD lol....From what I've heard you have to give them a bit of a story to trial it with intent to buy and not just to use as a stopgap kinda thing hehehe!!! As for it's functionality they virtually built the game using it (GFX wise anyway) ! Not that I'd ever condone such actions, but if you use IRC or Kaaza etc then you can allegedly pick up a copy of Adobe Photoshop fairly easily -
As said, build it yaself or if you haven't the experience or confidence someone will build one for you for not too much dosh ! That way it will be tailor made exactly to your specs as there's often at least 1 component in a pre-built that lets a system down and it's always cheaper too!! You will get warranty of a sort too. You won't get it on the system as a whole but each individual part you fit will still have a manufacturers warranty on it so if something goes ffffttt then ya still covered from that angle ! With many things that gives you more warranty than a pre-built system will g

In case ya still wonderin why the 2 PSU's could be listed is cos a lot of systems now come with a redundant power supply lol (it's not a new idea by far but they create cases with room for them and they are becoming more common as standard now)!! If 1 goes down the other kicks in but it probably is an upgrade for the one you are looking at as the guys have said anyway !! Don't think we'll see many in ya average home PC's etc (although my case has room and the mountings for 2) but it's more for server funcitionality, power users or for the person who has to have it all really hehehehe !
