I have GR Gold Edition. It comes with DS and IT. When I start the game, it shows that I am playing version 1.4.0.0. However, at UBI my compatibility shows N/A. I did go to options and check my path. It is C:/Red Storm Entertainment...blah blah blah. I had to search to find the exe, but I did. It is still showing that it cannot detect my version. When I try to join a game, it says that I do not have the correct version. I followed the link provided and dld 1.3 and 1.4 patches. The 1.3 patch will not install because it says I have a newer version. The 1.4 won't install because it says I have to install 1.3 patch first. I'm at a complete loss. I have completely uninstalled using PhantmSniper's advise on that subject.
Using Windows XP (I have done the tweeks suggested for improved game performance)
Pentium 4 2.40GHz
256 MB RAM
Invidia GEForce FX 5200
I just went and changed my path in UBI lobby to the E:/Drive, which is. of course, my CD drive. Now it shows that I am version 1.0.0.2 ENG. I read in another post that I should check the path in the UBI lobby and that I should use the exe on C:/ instead of E:/. Is that true and, if so, why does it not detect my version until I point it at the E:/drive? I just wanna play, man. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
