Can anybody please tell me, is it possible to run a gr server on a sun system. The os is Solaris, Could run linux flavour at a pinch,If Solaris is a complete No No. Set up servers before running other games under Win not linux or solaris. Want to try gr!
Am I asking the impossible. I have no alternative but to try and run a server on my ultra. HELP......
This machine was a mission to boot up and get this far, want to put it to good use. To play games on........

Does anybody know a good source for 3ds meshes, I am currently looking for a bullet or ammo of some kind. Not up to doing it myself so need a pre-done one. It has to be in 3d studio-max format though ! . Thanks,

Only last week did this happen 2 me. Have you just bought the game ? I would say stay around here at this forum. Read lots of stuff, its all here its just finding it when its all new. I would suggest not looking for games to join using the methods forced onto you when you install GR. Get ASE, all seeing eye get it. I'm a noob here 2, so hang around and these guys & gals will look after you.

New to GR, Having probs with lag. Any ways to tweak connection or something. I get cable installed soon ? Tweaked all I can, But but not used any progs, just settings under win 2000. 56k modem V90(Any benefits of flashing this, I have not delved into this ###### for a while ? Or do people not do this kinda thing ny more.

It took me a while!
subject: FW: Ghost.... listen and watch closely...
Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and
hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that
a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war.
Legend says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields
in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came.
So, they say she still waits. They caught this photo of what they claim to be her.
This is wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture.
It took me about 10 seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands out......
Like one of those optical illusions.
To save you some time, concentrate around the table . Best not to
focus to much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window.
Click on the link below for the picture.
Before clicking on the site and for an added touch, turn the sound on and
the volume way up. The sound is very faint but you can hear what sounds
like the ghost talking, sometimes in a low murmur. If you don't have the sound
on and volume up, you may not hear anything.
*It may take a moment or so before you pick out the ghost so please be patient...*

Its done this on me since Tuesday, 'On & off' at work, on LAN connection ?. Although when I try it at home its fine.

Over the years I have listened to people and there seems to be one common factor as to why people do. And thats the fact that they seem to think that they are so influential ? (The internet for one.

This post was aimed at people who use the prog, and unaware of its dangers. For those people who quote the post and ask me to hack their infrastructures. Please stop it. I did not for one minute claim I was a hacker !
To the person above(StiNgeR) who challenges me, carefull. There are many people who read these post and you do not know who might take you up. Remember there is always a way in, irrelevant of what you may have protecting your data. There are some real clever people out there,and then again there are some real lame ones. And I claim to be neither,before you quote me again.
Oh and before I forget, The reward for getting in is not legal on these pages.
WAREZ, is wrong and as for your dvd rips. You can keep em. Any challenge is not worth them. And as for the fact your advertising it.
This just goes to show how intelligent you are. Read the rules and regulations of using this site. Its wrong and strictly forbiden.

As I said that was years ago. I am currently out of date with security holes in icq. I don't bother with it so why keep track of how to do it. I still know people who are, so if you really want.......
You need tools and skills to do it, I don't qualify ny more. I am a nice guy
ps: I would'nt go round giving out your tcp/ip details, there are many types of hackers and many types of threats. Be carefull m8, as I said. Although I could do what your asking
Why ? when I would rather play GR all night.Time/planning is all thats needed. Once the seed is planted,sit back and watch it grow.

Before you read I am a nice guy !
Information is power, and thats a fact. I have posted this to share my concerns regarding icq. Several years ago I got in with a mixed bunch of weirdo's on icq
. Being the sort of guy I was 
, I got involved in some serious stuff, with regards to illegal entry into personal and private networks. I am not saying I was mallicous but more interested, from an educational point of vue into how its done. The point of this is not how these freaks do it, but to educate those that are unaware. The main point here is that online gamers are easy pray. Icq is one of the most dagerous packages that any one can install on their machines. Its a right can of worms .Most On-Line gamers have static ip's and all the software installed to make them easy targets. I was alarmed as to how many of you have it on your machines. This being the case, i would recomend that the ones that do, go onto the net and start to educate theirselves into how to protect theirselves from attacks. I am not saying that you all get paranoid, but simply think about why you use icq and then ask yourself is it worth it. I no longer use it and never will again.
Being online most of the time, playing games. Means that while your in-game some spotty faced punk is snooping around your HD. The ethics of this are not the issue here, but the fact that people are unaware of what goes on.
I have many alarming cases. Once they are in they will keep coming back, its that easy. Having icq makes their job a whole lot easier !
Icq is a comms tool, and they too use it. But they know how to protect theirselves and their machines. A night in playing games for you, is a night in for them hacking or breaking into machines. They have meeting places/times and pray as a group on unsuspecting indeviduals. its a real eye opener as to what really goes on !
If you think this is all crap, then think again. Its so easily done.

Island Thunder is an expansion pack for Ghost Recon that must be purchased from a retail location. it is not a download.I need IT, having said that there must be some info on here somewere listing ALL common map packs & mods. The list in the download section is huge. I am not complaining but, Some of them seem reletively unused.True, but getting all three disks is very expensive and the 3 X disk box set (£34.99) is hard to get in the N/West. It is limited to only a few stores?
This may sound like BS, but its true.
If your new to this game then be prepared for a rough ride. Getting on-line and connecting to servers is a process that obviously takes time !
For those of you that have been playing since day one, it all makes perfect sense. Getting the game running with what you buy in the shop is hard work.
Newbies forget the on-line gaming connection tools you get with the GR disks.

Sorry Guys, May I just suggest something. I am new to this game and it seems that there is far more frigg'in needed to get this game working on WAN, than any other game I have played before. Most of you are well established !. I am not however. Could somebody please post some common downloads needed to play in some of the most commonly played servers. Rather than keep looking at the ASE list and jumping back to GR.net to get the files, it would be nice to just have one big download sesion and then have nothing to worry about.......... pls read On.....................

PS: I know that you list the mods needed in the post room for servers, but for those who use ASE its a pain locating low ping servers for 56k laggers

Hi there everybody, I would like to know how to locate GR games servers using ASE. I can use the software, as I use it for other games. When I scan for GR games I always get an empty list or Servers masked out by modifiers. I would like to know how to fine tune it to get more servers up. There MUST be 100's but were are they. Please, Please help me find em' as I would love to get a game today.

FEEDBACK:- Sorted Now ! Contact me if you need any help regarding ASE, Use it all the time for other games, But had slight probs getting it to pull up servers for GR. If you are on 56k, ensure you have not limited the ping modifiers. GR servers are reporting back with significantly higher pings than other games I have installed ?. THX for all that helped !

Getting one is another matter, I suggest you search e-bay and ensure you have items available to uk selected. (Thats if you are uk). There is currently 2 at least available. They work out at arround £42, Thats a steal as you can't get em in the shops and all supplies are going fast in the factory. Normally they are priced at $99 But its cheaper in the long run to buy off e-bay. Hey and you get a 12m warranty to boot. Read the reviews and decide for yourself. I ensure you will not be dissapointed
