Just pop in here to say, NOW don't take this the wrong way. Everybody does things for a reason. now if it came of nothing they would just give up. But having said that they are still doing it, So therefore they must be doing some good. Animal protesters seem to be very different from human rights protesters and the like. Here is an example. if you told an animal rights protester that an animal had been tortured, and show them pictures. they would be very upset and disturbed. Show them a human and they feel less pain. This is fact and very strange. WHy.

I think you will find that there are different flavours on the disks depending on what you are installing it on. also there is apps on the distribution disks. So if its the illegal kind thats why. Otherwise just d/l the basic install direct from the original distributor.

Linux is capable of being installed on many systems as you know, and they cater for all with the distro's.The packages have to be specific
. But if its an intel chipset you should find it straight forward to install. -
Would be a nice feature if gr.net had little location flags for each member, next to their name ? I have seen it done and its nice to know. Just a suggestion.
Would solve time zone clashes, when looking for friends, games,players online ?

Do you agree if I was to say that eventually those whome play GR in this way will eventually make a transition towards BHD. With its progressive spawn points, its gotto attract players of this type. It will lenghthen the game plus accomodate tacticle play over longer time periods without getting bored and losing attention !. I think so, maybe you disagree ? The game looks set to rock, but I understand that GR and BHD are two entirely different games. BHD still looks set to rock, but maybe not as much as GR. Lets see who attracts to it

I came on here asking the sam thing. LMAO.
I got told to use All-seeing-eye (ASE). Its software that helps you locate servers. I had been using for other games, but thought at the time that Ubi.com was the prefered choice for GR players. It now seems that its not, Full of bugs and glitches I still to this day find using ubi hard work. Search the internet for ASE download and you will be impressed !

Is there anybody who can shed some light on why some GR servers run quick map times. I am refering to 5.00 min. I understand that some maps are small, but does this not just encourage people to just run arround throwing grens and blasting off heavy arsenal. I have seen this and wonder why these guys don't just play another game that was designed with this intent. Quake/urban terror, UT,spring to mind. I came over to GR to slow things down a bit, but it seems there is a trend developing here that depicts fast and sensless gameplay.

I have a prog that is a combined modem/lan/cable booster and an integrated pc booster. Yes is does work and my d/l are rapid now. If you message me with your e-mail address I will post you the file. Can not sya any more on here. I will however say this. I have messed arround for years with computers and never ever seen anything that works as well as this. Although the booster for your wan connection can take upto 10min to automatically configure your machine.
I suggest that you mail me asap and request that I mail you the link for d/l.

An interesting and extremely well wrote post. Thx. I think you just about covered everything and summed it up. Confusing times ! It makes you think who's the puppet-master pulling the strings. I feel there are too many, and all the strings are twisted and knoted. Hope this terminology makes sense. Our fate seems to be out of our hands. Were just the puppets. ???? Lives will be lost shame its not the puppet masters and not the puppets.

I think you understand my point as well m8. It costs to develop, and build. Maniacs with such tools are dangerous. But time will tell. I would not put it past him to nuke his own and our troops. After all they are on his doorstep !This war is far from over even before it begins, we play our moves and I feel his may be just as damaging. I believe he is not going to be a push over twice. I just feel we should have wated. Lets see.

I feel that the tension in this forum post was all started by me, the topic has gone well off subject. Again my fault, but please will somebody read my last post and reply back. I want to have some good conflab, but nothing seems to be getting sorted. I would love some opinions on what I have said, as I feel this is more important than anything else to talk about. Can I please add a twist to this thread, i know is off topic but I think we all agree is well gone off anyway now.
Here goes, I am very confused and troubled by the following.
If the twin towers had not gone down would we be here now ?
If I ever get called up ? What am I fighting for. I live in the Uk and the media and information portrayed confuse the people as to what this possible war is about. I could suggest some !
Oil,Weapons of mass destruction, and more lots more but I choose not to post, Yet ! As some are my own personal opinion.
I need some answers as I feel there is lots of issues and nothing is really clear.
As you are all aware how I feel, I am finding it hard to get on a level with you guys and agree that possible war is the right answer. The politics behind this seem far too complicated to understand for most. The general opinion of uk people is against the war. Maybe we don't know the true facts.

I have tried to portray no opinions of my own, but those of the majority of the country. The fact that the majority of uk citizens say no to war, makes no sense when so many US say Yes ? Whats the key difference here in the state of minds.

Its l8t now and i am chilled, I am sorry if you all took what i said personal. All soldiers have a job to do, And I appreciate you defending you rights as a soldier, but please remember not all people think like the military. I come from a small town and never experienced anything like you describe in the posts. I just found that some comments were of bad taste, and references made that depict pain and suffering. Before i go the comment about holding a dying man in your arms is terrible and I myself wish never to have to deal with such a traumatic experience.
I am sorry for the heated comments, but whats done is done !
Although I myself have to come to terms with the outcome of war and conflict over the next comming months. I wish all the soldiers at location good luck and I hope everything works out. Keep up the good work and thanks again, I could'nt do it.

I am one of the small group of people using ME, I must say its been really reliable and stable for the 12 months i have used it. Windows machines and i386 chipsets* have a long way to go before they become as stable as their couterparts. Os like Unix/linux is the first step in gaining the reliability we all thrive for. The comment above about servers running linux is very true and before long its got to filter through to us gamers. Windows has been around for a long time, it just does not cut the mustard, for most gamers. The difference between us and most pc users is that we know a little more about what we are doing and what we want to do. The remainder of people want it done for them, with disregard as to how its done.
Sorry to stray from the thread, The comment about Me needed saying tho. I think in the end it all depends on hardware and drivers.And a combination of Experimentation, time,effort, that will rewarded you with a system thats sweet.

Sound like you need to read up on forum topics. Installing GR. You sound experienced but don't overlook the set order needed to get a pain free install. I had similar probs when I first loaded it. Also check again when you have uninstalled what left, there may be files left that ###### up a re-install.
