yeah that was a truly awesome mission. Not a good one to play after watching Rambo 2 and 3 on consecutive nights

Yeah - best fun I had with a mission for a long time. Damn those XDF boys were methodical! God help any RL OPFOR these guys come up against
Will make some minor changes and then re-test. Won't be able to distribute until 2.03 is finished as it uses some of the new commands.
Actually, just thinking of it - with the test going past 1 hour for the mission itself, we never got to see the onslaught of the kill zone I had developed and discussed above.
That part would have come next.....
Also a Mi-17 was ready to pounce, but never got released.....which is a good thing since in the excitement I think all forgot about the importance of keeping some Stingers handy...
Any updates on the mission? Like to try it. Sick and tired of waiting on new updates from Bis, and VBS devs

Yes, thank you, I did that as described by snYper @ resources, but I still got missing textures. I am also curious I someone else is really converting it to VBS (officially). For future mission making and stuff.

Well, I downloaded it, and it works. But I still get missing textures. I unpbo'd and pbo'd it back, but still missing (interior) textures.
What do I do wrong?

So I guess you are from holland too
I waited at least two weeks for my copy to arrive. You will recieve it by mail, no need to go to the post office since the package fits your mailbox.
So if I may do a little guessing......I think you will recieve it one of these days so you can play around with it during your holiday.
Offcourse, all of the above is related to my order. I can not promise you anything.
Oh and once you got it, let me know, maybe we can do some fun MP sometimes. Did you order only the core game?
As a matter of fact I did. I have a family to support.
But if it is good as everyone says it is, I am afraid I will have to order the rest too, but that will go much faster because you can download them.

As stated earlier I ordered my vbs1 copy 2 weeks ago. I was wondering, I thought el nino was from Holland also, how long does it take before it's delivered in Holland?
Because I got Spring Holiday

After reading most of the posts, seeing the enormous amount of screenshots, and so on, I grabbed my credit card today and gave up, I couldn't resist myself any longer, I gave my wife a nice bush of flowers (yellow roses) and ...
I ordered VBS1.
And now the waiting starts.
I guess I will be saying goodbye to all the cheaters in Americas Army and enter this community, in about two weeks?

Well, I'm usually pretty good at getting results with things like this; I've written them, lets sit back, wait, and see what they say...
In the event that we get a favorable response, and the offer looks reasonable; are there any of Rocky's Pallys here that might interest him in getting such a GRN offer on the front page so that we could maximize the opportunity?

The fact that no one is willing to sell it, tells a lot about this game.
So, I will place my order for VBS 1 as soon as I recieve my paycheck, and then it's bye bye Americas Army.

Lol, have you played OFP in the past mate ?, VBS1 is a better/different version of that in reality, it comes into its own when played online with other players who know what they are doing, i would recommend you take a look at OFP first if you havent played it before, there are a lot of new addons that you can get for the game now and they have made it a very good but a lot cheaper version of VBS1...

Yes I played OFP in the past. I loved the movement of freedom. But it with older weaponry, and VBS1 with modern equipment and modern SF.

Hello Everybody,
I just heard a few days ago about VBS1. Since then i have found quite a lot of info on the sim/game. I was wondering "Is it worth the amount of money they are charging?"
I mean, I love playing Americas Army for example, but cheaters are rampant there. But he, it's free. To me VBS1 is the summum of realism, as far as I can see. My question is to you all, who bothers reading this post, to comment on VBS1 ? Maybe that is the last push for me Ordering this game, because I am quite into SF stuff etc.

Selling it for $600,- plus postage costs.
All the addons got downloaded, are burnt on one DVD-RW, with the original dongle and Core CD.
It's one package deal, due to the encryption of the add-ons.
